First, the Devourer was made from the core of a royal beast, the Kaiser Aurumzard. Then it had consumed the core of the Octoviolet Silversnake. Just from those points alone, it was a whole league above regular beasts. Octoviolet Silversnakes were few in number, and could even be considered an alien beast, as its genes didn’t exist anywhere else on Earth. Because of that, it was much stronger than other powerful earthly beasts. Subsequently, the Devourer had then consumed many more tyrant-level beast cores. At its current level, Xiang Ning didn’t even have to do anything. He only had to hold the sword and its core would emerge to swallow all beasts or humans under tier six. The Devourer had now reached such heights, truly growing into its name. 

Moray watched the huge, evil dragon head, whose eyes glowed red, as he trembled in its oppressive presence. If it weren’t for his battle armor keeping him stable, he would have collapsed to the ground. Although the bioweapon in his hand was also very powerful, compared to the Devourer, it was like a father beating his son. There was no chance for retaliation. 

Bioweapons had their own life and emotions, and Moray could truly feel the fear in his weapon and an indescribable pressure. 

Xiang Ning observed it all and felt like the effects were insufficient, so he activated Sovereign’s Throne for good measure. His aura was immediately taken up to new heights far beyond what a human was capable of. 

“What’s this? That aura! How’s that possible!” 

“That’s….!” Nathan’s eyes widened because, out of them all, he had the clearest idea of Xiang Ning. He knew his age, which was seventeen. He had always thought that Xiang Ning was just another stronger opponent, and his defeat was only a matter of time. But now that bastard’s aura was so intimidating that he felt it was in a completely different league. He had only sensed an aura this majestic from his father—no, more specifically, it was even more frightening than his father’s. It felt like… a tier nine monster! 

During his defeat in their first encounter, he had to begrudgingly accept the results of the fight but could still carry some hope because he hadn’t used all of his strength. He had then returned to Aurig to focus on his cultivation, but… was this it? If he wasn’t using his full strength then, was Xiang Ning? He didn’t want to think about the answer. 

Natalia’s beautiful eyes were darting around, though her expressionless face only betrayed her emotions for one second when Xiang Ning activated Sovereign’s Throne.

At that moment, Natalia seemed to see Xiang Ning standing atop a cliff with millions of soldiers and horses at his command. She seemed to see him sitting in the tallest seat within a great palace. He was an emperor that symbolizes power and strength, radiant as the blazing sun, and she suddenly had an urge to kneel before his majesty. 

Everyone was under a spell, unable to speak. Xiang Ning’s Sovereign’s Throne wasn’t locked on one person, but permeated across the space. Not even Moray’s battle armor could help him. His mind was completely shrouded in fear and he had not a single thought of retaliation. 

But the number of Fury Points still increased at 999 per second. That was an indication of his intent to kill. He wanted to kill Xiang Ning, but it was just the shrieking of an ant in the face of such grandiose might. 

It felt like a long time, but it had only been three seconds since Sovereign’s Throne had been activated. The Devourer’s mouth yawned open like a giant python, the goo tearing apart and a shrill cry came from Moray’s bioweapon.

“NO!” Moray screamed as the Devourer bit his bioweapon. Crack! In less than a second, it broke like a popsicle. 

The attachment that housed the core was crushed to pieces, and when the goo inside wanted to escape, the Devourer sucked it in like a strand of noodle, then returned to its own attachment in barely a second. 

Xiang Ning smirked. “It says the nutrient content was too low.” Then he took out a tier six beast core and tapped it on the attachment. It opened and he popped the core inside. “It wants me to feed it one more.” 

The group was completely impressed. Bioweapons could be fed with beast blood, meat, and beast cores, but it was rarer to feed beast cores, much less a tier six one! 

That was when they sensed the terror that was Xiang Ning. Who the hell was he? What kind of powers backed him? Previously, they had thought Nathan and Natalia were protecting him because they’d been rescued, but now they wondered if there could be other secrets. Their faces turned ashen. Xiang Ning still hadn’t deactivated the Sovereign's Throne and these people couldn’t beat a tier six, nine-star opponent. 

His gaze swept across the group, who all avoided his eyes. They had a feeling that they were going to die there. 

“We… we apologize. We apologize! I’m begging you, let us go!” 

“Yeah, yeah, we… we didn’t even touch you, you aren’t even hurt. It’s always good to forgive, right?” 

“Heh… hehe. We were misled, we were wrong, we were wrong.” 

Looking at all their ugly faces, Xiang Ning smirked. “So if I wasn’t strong enough, wouldn’t I have already been killed?” 

“You.…” 

Xiang Ning took a step forward and they were startled like a flock of birds. 

“Don’t… don’t come any closer! Stay there!” 

“Don’t force us to do this! There’s still more than ten of us here. If we fight to the death, we’ll still hurt you!” 

Nathan and the rest were disgusted by their behavior. Tier five? What a bunch of lowly scum.
