The conflict between Xiang Ning and Huang Jiasheng gained attention from the masters within Fortress Three. After the previous battle, Xiang Ning’s name was well-known within the circle, and every master had their eye on him. However, the first school’s headmaster had a pained expression while the rest were delighted. The first school’s highest-ranked team had already fallen to the eleventh spot; if they just focused on hunting, they would have no problem rising through the ranks. It was a pity that they had voluntarily decided to harass Xiang Ning. The headmasters were all fascinated by Xiang Ning, who had given them endless surprises since the time he’d dealt with the Bushy-Tailed Mosquitos.
Only Lei Zhongyuan was expressionless. He should have been the happiest, because he had Dong Qianyi, one of the Twelve Great Prodigies, by his side. Recruiting Xiang Ning under his wing shouldn’t be a problem. The problem lay in the speed at which Xiang Ning’s cultivation improved. He still remembered Xiang Ning’s plan for his physical body and mental power to be in the same tier. After some research, the master who first invented this strategy had abandoned it, despite its various benefits. While it was reasonable at a low tier, too many resources and too much time would have to be spent to keep both aspects level. Xiang Ning had improved his physical strength through luck but his mental power seemed to be almost the same level now. How long had it been? Barely half a month!
“Headmaster Li Bu, I’m afraid your students will fall in barely ten moves.”
“That isn’t necessarily true, there are many of them and only one Xiang Ning.”
The headmasters started speculating. There weren’t many opportunities for them to get together like this anyway, and they had many conflicts of their own when they were younger, too. So why should they pass up this opportunity to laugh at each other?
Headmaster Li Bu glumly downed a gulp of water, ignoring them. He was confident in his own students; Huang Jiasheng came from a martial family and was raised with martial arts. He had recently reached the Awakened level in one of his skills, gaining a recent surge of fame. He was very popular within the first school.
Perhaps Xiang Ning could beat Huang Jiasheng, but it was two against five. Based on the formation they took, it looked as if it would be one against five, too! Although it was somewhat like bullying, there were no rules in the wilderness. It wasn’t a dueling competition. As long as they won, they could do anything.
Huang Jiasheng was a tier one, eight-star martial artist and his team members were strong too; all of them were above-average students. It was too bad that they were too curious and had decided to explore instead of focusing on the hunt, or they would have been in the top ten early on. But despite that, they had jumped from the thirties to eleventh place in just three days. They had proven themselves.
“Fang Rou, pass me some rope.” Xiang Ning reached out. Fang Rou rolled her eyes and took out a bundle of rope, tossing it to him. Although she didn’t know what he wanted to do, she just gave it to him anyway.
Huang Jiasheng and the rest were confused, though Xiang Ning’s smirk gave them goosebumps and made them immediately want to punch his perverted face.
“Wait, take your time. Everyone will have a turn!” Xiang Ning smiled and tugged on the rope. Huang Jiasheng clenched his ass, recalling people being hogtied in a movie. The more he observed Xiang Ning, the more perverted the man looked. He obviously wouldn’t hold back.
“Let’s go! This Xiang Ning looks like a pervert, we’ll be doing society a favor by killing him!” All four people behind him rolled their eyes. What did doing society a favor have to do with this? However, they were itching to punch the smirk off Xiang Ning’s face so they approached and surrounded him.
Xiang Ning smiled. “Let’s go.” These were all precious sources of Fury Points!
All five of them pounced with their blades. Usually, it would be considered dishonorable for five people to attack one guy, but this was different.
Xiang Ning’s eyes narrowed, his smile disappearing. He must be careful in the face of five martial artists. His knives flew as if they had minds of their own, striking Huang Jiasheng’s thigh when he charged at Xiang Ning. Raising his iridium sword high, then stabbing it into the ground, Xiang Ning grabbed Huang Jiasheng and kneed him in the crotch. Huang Jiasheng collapsed in pain.

Everyone drew in a sharp breath, especially when he was kneed in the crotch. It had barely been two seconds and that part was probably useless now.
Fang Rou covered her eyes.
Xiang Ning grinned and tied Huang Jiasheng’s hands together, then turned to the other four like a tiger in a herd of sheep. In a few moments, shrieks of agony rang out as Xiang Ning tied each of them up, leaving one person behind.
He hadn’t expected that Xiang Ning would ignore him, just dodging whenever he attacked. He was speechless when he saw his brothers on the ground. Did Xiang Ning see him as some useless dude? Did he not want to waste time on him?
“Let’s go. This isn’t the end of it.” Xiang Ning tied the four people together, ignoring their deathly glares.
Very soon, they entered a run-down shop, though it still looked structurally sound. At least, it was sturdier than the other buildings.
“What’re you doing?” asked Fang Rou. Shouldn’t they leave after winning the fight?
“Nothing, just leaving them here to rest. I was the one who injured them, anyway,” he said.
“And that’s because you’re a kind person?” Fang Rou did not believe it.
Xiang Ning coughed. “Fine, I want to lock them up. They’re weak now, and they’d be targeted by beasts if I left them outside. It’d be very dangerous for them.”
Xiang Ning’s thinking made sense and Fang Rou privately nodded. Leaving them like that would be dangerous. Locking them up was a good idea, both to protect them and as revenge. That way, anything that happened next wouldn’t be blamed on them.
“Yeah, that’s a good idea.” Fang Rou nodded with a grin.
Her goosebumps grew when she saw his sneer. She had a bad feeling. Turning to the four people, she looked at them with a pity-filled gaze.
“Alright, wait for me here. I’ll be quick.” Xiang Ning dragged them into a storage room, his evil laugh echoing behind him.
