Chapter 2452: Revealed!

Standing next to Li Yuanzhen, Boss Bai extended one finger and pointed it at the necklace of the Heart Sinking Stone.

Li Yuanzhen suddenly had an extremely subtle sense of warning, as if his soul had just been stung by a mosquito.

He felt that the brightness from the necklace of the Heart Sinking Stone was too gentle and hypnotizing, and the soothing effect on the soul was so strong that his soul was not being soothed but being paralyzed.

The more he stared at the necklace of the Heart Sinking Stone, the more he felt that there was an immeasurable swirl inside the necklace, which absorbed his soul and senses and lowered his nerve reactions to the minimum.

Also, the necklace felt too sticky, as if a certain layer of something was attached to it.

When he touched the necklace with his fingers, the sticky stuff turned into tiny worms that crawled into his pores in a hurry and dashed all the way upward along the arm, as if their target was his heart.

This… is not the Heart Sinking Stone?

It was not until the sticky feeling almost entered his heart that Li Yuanzhen finally realized what was going on in his trance. The descriptions on the “Heart Sinking Stone” in the encyclopedia of Heavenly Materials and Earthly Treasures did not seem to include so many weird features.

But it was too late.

Due to the dual attacks of illusions and the lethal poisons, he couldn’t constrict his pupils even if he wanted to. All that he could do was to watch Boss Bai extending his finger at him with a smile.

Li Yuanzhen’s heart shrank hard, and he intended to evade Boss Bai’s finger intuitionally. Watching the look on Boss Bai’s face, he noticed that the head of space pirates had completely changed. Not only were the rat-like feelings entirely gone, but there was not even much satisfaction now that his cunning scheme had worked out. All that could be found on his wrinkled, pointy head was peace and casualness, giving the feeling that he was actually… bored.

Yes, bored. It seemed that for Boss Bai, a noble descendant such as Li Yuanzhen did not deserve to be his opponent or even his prey at all. He was simply yawning while he did his uneventful, daily work at ease.

His easiness made Li Yuanzhen so intimidated as if he had fallen into an ice cave.

He wanted to shout, so loudly and desperately that all the soldiers outside would hear him.

However, Boss Bai’s finger that was aimed at the Heart Sinking Stone, like a dragon waving its tail, poked at his throat from an unbelievable angle.

Crack!

After a gentle touch, the strength already pierced through Li Yuanzhen’s neck like a helical drill, breaking the Adam’s apple without any trouble. The bones and the blood blocked his vocal cord, and his screams were stuffed back to his chest.

“Lightning” did not even begin to describe the speed of his attack. Even if Li Yuanzhen had not suffered the dual scourges of the illusions and the venom, he wouldn’t have been able to dodge the astounding finger at all!

Li Yuanzhen was in such pain that veins were almost breaking out on his forehead. Out of his natural instincts, he was already controlling his right fingers to retrieve powerful magical equipment from his Cosmos Rings. He had realized that the Boss Bao standing before him was certainly not a filthy rat that had crawled out of a gutter, but a terrifying monster that was too overwhelming for him to estimate at all.

Even though he summoned his magical equipment, it might not be enough to kill the enemy, but there would at least be noises that would let the soldiers outside know that a shocking battle was going on inside the warehouse.

But even such a tiny wish fell out in the excruciating pain.

Boss Bai grabbed his right hand where the Cosmos Rings were worn and closed it unhurriedly. His right hand immediately turned from half solid to a mess of fluids. All his bones and his flesh were crushed although they were still enveloped by a tiny layer of skin.

Li Yuanzhen’s tears were running out in pain. It was not entirely because of the pain but more of a biophysical reaction because of the extreme fear.

Even so, he still gnashed his teeth to perform the final counterattack. Folding his right leg like a saber, he kicked Boss Bai’s lower abdomen brutally.

Bam!

Having no time to respond, Boss Bai was hit precisely.

Li Yuanzhen was overjoyed. He was about to launch a flood of continuous counterattacks when he felt that the feedback of his knee was weird.

It did not seem to have crashed into flesh and broken the bones, but instead, it seemed to have broken into a certain highly attractive gel, which dispersed all his spiritual energy into nothingness.

“Ah—”

Li Yuanzhen was too shocked to react anymore.

Boss Bai, on the other hand, did not give him even 0.01 seconds to react either. Sniffing, he kicked the guy back.

Li Yuanzhen felt that a full-speed starship had just crashed into his groins.

His entire reproductive system had been reduced into broken cells and enchylema.

It was a soul-stirring attack—literally “soul-stirring”.

Li Yuanzhen opened his mouth and vomited a mouthful of plasma that was mixed with broken bones, which spurted out like a weird spring before he completely dried and collapsed like a balloon that had lost the air.

Expressionlessly, with thirty percent boredom, Boss Bai twisted Li Yuanzhen’s neck by 180 degrees.

Then, he stuck to the man’s back and exerted his strength, giving the high and mighty noble a chance to see his own ass clearly.

“How… dare…”

Li Yuanzhen’s eyes were protruding violently, and the veins that were deeply buried in his face were all breaking apart. He couldn’t have looked more awful.

The tough vitality of the Immortal Cultivators made him able to talk after he vomited the broken bones and flesh in his throat, but before he finished his sentence, Boss Bai had already opened his fingers and stabbed them deeply into the guy’s face like burning iron sticks, crunching his entire skull.

BOOM!

Violent white flames flooded out of Boss Bai’s fingers and palms and pierced through Li Yuanzhen’s broken skull, destroying the brain tissues and the soul that was hidden inside. Very soon, the deputy leader of Li Wuji’s fleet was burnt into ashes.

Then, Boss Bai yawned so hard in his dullness that even his tears were almost squeezed out.

While whistling the weird tunes of space pirates, he raised his wrist to check the time and the progress in other procedures. Then, right next to Li Yuanzhen’s ashes, he retrieved a human-shaped spiritual puppet from his Cosmos Ring.

The spiritual puppet was of a similar height and size to Li Yuanzhen.

Boss Bai activated the spiritual puppet and pointed at the operation menu on the breastplate of the puppet quickly. An amazing scene happened. Gentle brilliance flowed out of the gaps of the spiritual puppet and completely enshrouded the puppet until it became a vivid, cubic “skin” that was exactly Li Yuanzhen’s appearance!

Under Boss Bai’s remote control, the spiritual puppet that was pretending to be Li Yuanzhen stood up and stepped forward rather rigidly.

This was exactly a “stand-in” spiritual puppet, which was designed to increase the sense of participation during the remote meetings.

If it was close or detected by spiritual energy, it would naturally be seen through easily.

However, if it was only observed from far away, maybe it could fool other people, at least for ten to twenty minutes.

Right then, door knocks echoed from outside.

“Come in.”

Boss Bai said casually.

The adulation, arrogance, and aggressiveness that had covered his face since days ago were entirely gone. Although he was still an emaciated, hideous man, his eyes were like the clearest mirror absorbing all the stars in the universe before washing them with his own ambitions and reflecting them ten times more brightly. His brilliant eyes and his hideous face were a major contrast, which further added to his captivating, idiosyncratic charisma.

Even if he were a rat, he would be a super-alloy rat that could bite a hole in the three-dimensional universe.

If Li Wuji and the many leaders of space pirates had seen his current face earlier, they would die before they “cooperated” with such a Boss Bai.

The gate of the warehouse was slightly opened, and two soldiers of the Big Bai Pirate Gang strode in.

No, they were not “soldiers”. They were the notorious pirates who had fought the Black Wind Fleet the hard way with Boss Bai and jumped to the Imperium from the federation to bring disasters to this land!

“Boss, the few guards have been taken care of. All the preparations are done too. The traps will be closed as soon as you command.”

The two seasoned bandits from the Star Glory Federation, however, couldn’t hold back their excitement.

“What’s the hurry? The stew is in the pot now, and it’s not getting anywhere.”

Boss Bai glanced at them and said casually, “If you are excited by such a minor incident, wouldn’t you have a heart attack when we loot the royal palace of the Imperium of True Human Beings or the Supreme Emperor’s mausoleum? There’s no need to be anxious. Bring me my battle robe first.”

Taking a deep breath, one of the two space pirates from the federation stepped forward and held a tacky colorful shirt and a pair of beach pants with both hands, saying respectfully, “Boss, here’s the battle robe!”

“Alright.”

Boss Bai took off the leather coat and the messy clothes on his body and put on the fancy shirt and the short pants. Then, he said, “And my boots.”

“Boss, here are your battle boots!”

The other space pirate brought over a pair of blue-and-white flip-flops—ones that were commonly seen in the public bathhouses.

After Boss Bai put on his clothes, he finally wiped his mouth with a smile of satisfaction.

“Boss, should we bring you a cup of ice juice of tropical fruits and vegetables?”

His two subordinates asked considerately.

“No. Give me a cup of oolong tea. Make it strong.”

Boss Bai sniffed and said, “It is too unchallenging to deal with those morons. They are not even as good as the tough guys of the Black Wind Fleet. How boring.”

“That’s right!”

His subordinates grinned.

He stepped out of the warehouse, with unpleasant noises echoing from his shoes nonstop. Looking at the Blue Sky Market ahead of him where nobody knew that the god of death had arrived, he waved his hands and said, “There’s nothing we can do now. Let’s go and teach the idiots at the center of the cosmos a lesson about what real ‘space pirates’ are!”
