Chapter 3155: Messenger

The orbit of the Heaven’s Origin Sector.

Surrounded by the Burning Prairie Fleet, the Kunlun Fleet, and the latest fleet from the Star Ocean Imperium and the Sanctuary Alliance, the tiny blue crystal approached the atmosphere of the capital city of the federation unhurriedly.

Compared to the invincible steel beasts that dominated the sea of stars, the blue crystal was like a small flower that could be easily crushed.

However, after only five minutes, it had already attracted the attention of all the leadership and experts on the planet. The federation, the imperium, and the Sanctuary Alliance, as well as the survivors of the primeval era, were all focused on it.

Cold sweat was popping up on the foreheads of many generals and Marshals who were holding heavy troops and could fire a million cannons at the same time at any moment. White smoke was spurting out of their throats, and the redness almost drowned their eyes.

Weird. The seemingly plain blue crystal was too weird.

First of all, nobody knew how it appeared. To ensure the safety of the ‘Future Meeting’, the space zone at the periphery of the Heaven’s Origin Sector was packed with crystal cameras and spiritual energy scanning magical equipment. Not even a meteoroid was allowed in, not to mention the blue crystals whose features were so obvious that their brightness and ripples were not concealed at all.

Then, was he teleported through a space jump through a crack in the four-dimensional space?

It was impossible, too, that the Burning Prairie Fleet, the Kunlun Fleet, the satellite base of the Heaven’s Origin Sector, or the astronomical observatory on the ground did not detect any abnormal space ripples or signs of the birth of man-made wormholes. It just showed up out of nowhere in the middle of the orbital defense ring and the atmosphere. Even the two fleets failed to discover it for three minutes. It was not until it sent two waves to the Burning Prairie Fleet and the Kunlun Fleet that the two fleets were shocked and alarmed.

No one knew what it was, what it wanted, and whether it was good or bad. Naturally, no one dared to attack it first.

However, Prairie Fire and the Kunlun Fleet had indeed sent quite a few engineering ships and survey starships to capture it, or at least to control it with the interference force field.

However, no matter how hard they tried to increase the power of the interference force field or how many experts they sent to perform remote manipulation techniques, they could not change the trajectory and speed of the blue crystal. It seemed to be immune to all the interference force fields and mystic rays.

In the end, the commander stationed in the area made up his mind and simply commanded an engineering ship to block the route of the blue crystal. However, such a reckless approach failed to stop the enemy. The enemy seemed to have no real body at all, or rather, its real body was in a different dimension. It was merely a projection that arrived in the Pangu Universe and passed through the engineering ship.

Ding Lingdang, Li Jialing, Long Yangjun, the Fist King, Wen Wen, Lei Chenhu, Boss Bai… The leadership of the three forces arrived at the temporary command center on ‘Kunlun’ on shuttles. The blue crystal was only one step away from the atmosphere.

It seemed to possess a clear consciousness and a high degree of wisdom. When it discovered that the strongest experts of the human civilization had come to its side, it actually stopped and floated above the atmosphere quietly, blossoming with the brilliance of an orchid.

“What is it exactly? How did it pass through the defense lines and appear above the atmosphere of the Heaven’s Origin Sector without alarming anyone? Is it material or energy? How can it be immune to our interference force field and pierce through a starship without being damaged at all? What is going on exactly?”

Ever since the ‘Falling Battle’ in the ancient relics three years ago, the top experts of the human civilization had been living in fear. Ignorance was irrelevant. Before, their understanding of the ‘Black Wall Manufacture’, the ‘Primeval Race’, and the ‘Flood Tide’ had been hazy. They had thought that the worst that could happen was that they would die. But after three years of exploration and research, as their understanding grew deeper and deeper, fear and desperation had been haunting them from time to time. Everybody knew clearly that, no matter how big a leap they made in the past three years, if the Flood Tide arrived at this moment, not only would the human civilization be unable to resist it, it would be difficult for them to die a happy death!

Therefore, even Ding Lingdang, who was a fearless heroine, was anxious and solemn when she saw the mysterious blue crystal.

While everybody was talking and feeling lost, the blue crystal suddenly disappeared.

“What?”

Gasps immediately echoed inside the cockpit of Kunlun. The eyes of all the experts seemed to be shooting bullets.

“Hello, everyone. There’s no need to be nervous. I’m back.”

Before they swallowed the last mouthful of cold air, a thin, soft, and seemingly embarrassed voice came from behind them.

Although it sounded like a gentle female voice and did not carry any spiritual waves or mental attacks, it was enough to make all the experts’ hair stand on end.

Ding Lingdang jerked her head back and discovered that there was an additional person behind the stupefied crowd. A person who, although familiar, should absolutely not have appeared in this place. It could not even be called a person, but rather… a ghost!

“Wei Qingqing?”

Ding Lingdang was dumbfounded. She didn’t know whether to clench or relax her fists. Her expression was half confused and half absent-minded. She stammered, “Is—is it really you, Sister Qingqing?”

The experts and Ding Lingdang turned around at the same time. Many of them were from the Star Glory Federation, and those who had been in touch with and participated in the ‘Tinder Plan’ recognized the young girl who appeared out of thin air. She was Wei Qingqing, the ‘little bluebird’ who was wearing a light blue dress, with scattered freckles on her face and a blossoming orchid on her headband, and looked both gentle and stubborn. She was dressed like a village teacher and was not one of the first volunteers of the ‘Tinder Plan’.

But how was it possible?

Speaking of which, Wei Qingqing was also one of the most important guides for ‘Vulture Li Yao’, the super hero of the federation.

More than a hundred years ago, on the train to the Grand Desolate Plateau, it was her, Ding Yin, and six other Cultivators who had stood up and sacrificed themselves to protect the innocent civilians on the train, as well as Li Yao’s belief.

Wei Qingqing sacrificed her own body of flesh and blood. From then on, she turned into an imaginary spectral cultivator. Her clear and pure heart of Dao didn’t lose the slightest bit of radiance. She was still active in the educational battlefront, serving the public in her own way, fighting for her motherland and civilization.

A hundred years later, Professor Mo Xuan and Lu Qingchen pushed the ‘Tinder Plan’, hoping to find volunteers to go to the end of time and space and spread out the tinder of the human civilization so that they could be the professors of the new civilization billions of years later. When Wei Qingqing learned of the matter, she immediately decided to participate and demanded to be the first volunteer.

Of course, the ‘Tinder Plan’ that Professor Mo Xuan and Lu Qingchen promoted was not as pure and sacred as they claimed. They had other purposes, too.

However, Wei Qingqing was merely manipulated by the two of them and did not know their scheme at all. She was too focused on the ‘Tinder Plan’ to be confused with Mo Xuan and Lu Qingchen.

After Mo Xuan’s death, Lu Qingchen’s escape, and the failure of the Phantom Plan, under the insistence of Wei Qingqing, Gui Shishou, and the rest of the Cultivators, the ‘Tinder Plan’ was still carried out on a smaller scale. Wei Qingqing got what she wanted and became the first Pangu Clan member to be shot at the end of the sea of stars.

Calculating the time, it was almost ten years ago.

At that time, the small starship carrying Wei Qingqing’s soul had been jumping and drifting aimlessly in the sea of stars with outdated technology. Logically speaking, it should not have been able to fly very far, much less cross the black wall.

Was it because of a technical fault that Wei Qingqing woke up in advance and fled back to her hometown, unable to bear the loneliness of the long journey?

But that was not right. Wei Qingqing was a spectral Cultivator, or rather, a member of the ‘Spirit Clan’. She had lost her body of flesh and blood a hundred years ago. The only thing that was left was a vague magnetic field of life, but the female teacher in front of him had a warm body.

Ding Lingdang was only one step away from Wei Qingqing.

She could clearly feel the hot stream coming from Wei Qingqing’s body. She could clearly see the movement of every hair on the other party’s body. She could even sense the vitality of light and heat blossoming from every cell of the other party’s body.

It was a very young body that looked like a baby.

If Ding Lingdang could make such a mistake, the past three years, no, the past hundred years of training would have been in vain.

However, if the enemy was a human being made of flesh and blood, a new question popped up. How did she sneak into the cockpit of Kunlun through the most impenetrable defense lines at least thirty to fifty times with the clothes of a village teacher?

She, she was even wearing a pair of cheap-looking plastic sandals, the kind that would make “pa pa pa pa” sounds when she walked. However, whether it was Ding Lingdang or Long Yangjun, whether it was Li Jialing or Boss Bai, whether it was the boxing champion or Yan Liren, no one discovered her unless she spoke up herself!

“Sister Qingqing?”

Taking a deep breath, Ding Lingdang repeated the question that she and everyone else had asked. “Are you really Wei Qingqing—a volunteer of the ‘Tinder Plan’ of the Star Glory Federation?”

“Of course, I am Wei Qingqing, a volunteer of the Pyro Company.

Wei Qingqing smiled. Her smile was as stubborn and tranquil as a hundred years ago, but there was something else in the depths of her eyes. “But right now, I have a new identity — I am a messenger.”
