Chapter 3162: Transmigrator Base

Other than Ding Lingdang, Yan Liren, and Li Linghai, Boss Bai, Long Yangjun, Little Ming, and Wei Qingqing, as well as the first batch of messengers, had settled all their affairs in the Pangu Universe and gathered at the ‘transmigrating base’.

Wei Qingqing told everyone that in the multiverse sea, every natural paradise with abundant spiritual energy often had a thin barrier between them and the outside world because of the drastic changes in the concentration of spiritual energy. It was not necessarily a high wall or a stone belt that was visible to the naked eye, but it was certainly different. It was called ‘crystal wall’.

Fearing that everybody would not be able to understand the concept of ‘crystal wall’, she gave two more examples. The first one was that the seawater would be divided into distinct lines because of the different concentration of salt. The color, nutrition, and even the ecosystem inside the lines would be entirely different.

Secondly, the magma that had an extremely high temperature would quickly condense into a shell when it came into contact with the ice that had an extremely low temperature. The shell was essentially a ‘crystal wall’.

The natural paradises that were surrounded by crystal walls were known as sub-universes. For example, the ‘spiritless worlds’ that were not surrounded by crystal walls and did not boast any spiritual energy, such as ‘Earth’, the birthplace of human civilization, were a miracle among miracles. They were not part of the exploration this time.

Since they were going through the ‘crystal walls’ to arrive at a completely different, unpredictable, and mysterious world, they were naturally ‘travelers’, and their base was the ‘traveler base’.

Since the coordinates of the primeval relics were unpredictable, they did not choose to build a base inside the Heavenly Palace. Instead, they listened to the suggestions of the Pangu Clan and the Nuwa Clan and chose an abandoned world that seemed to be barren. A million years ago, the abandoned world was the forward base of the first expedition of the Pangu civilization.

There must’ve been a good reason why he chose this place as his starting point to cross the black wall. With the guidance of the survivors of the primeval era and the cooperation of the three major forces of the human civilization, a magnificent new base that looked like the future was established very quickly. Thankfully, Li Yao had chosen communication and cooperation instead of hostility when he met the ‘Full Moon’ girl of the Nuwa Clan. Otherwise, it would’ve been impossible for the human civilization to find the forward base of the Pangu Expeditionary Force in the past.

Looking at the bases and starships that were both primeval and futuristic, Ding Lingdang felt that she was back to the time a hundred years ago when she and Li Yao were preparing to explore the worlds around the Star Glory Federation.

In fact, the ‘Messenger Plan’ right now was exactly the same as the ‘Heavenly Path Plan’ a hundred years ago. They were both meant to explore the wider living space for their civilization and look for more like-minded friends, or at least the kind of people that they could communicate with.

When a civilization was born in communication, it was bound to grow stronger in communication, too. A civilization that lived in seclusion for a long time might be able to take a moment of rest, but it would also put an invisible noose around its neck and cut off the possibility of growth.

Compared to the ‘Heavenly Path Plan’ a hundred years ago, the ‘Messenger Plan’ right now was a completely different one.

When the Heaven’s Path Plan was implemented, the federation only had the Heaven’s Origin Sector, the Blood Demon Sector, and the Flying Star Sector. The fire of war between the three worlds had only just died down. Just like the bloody dawn when the darkness had just dispersed, the starship and the hibernation system that they used to explore the sea of stars were also crude and highly dangerous. Countless explorers had fallen before they saw the dawn of a new world.

But today, the entire base was packed with cutting-edge technologies that even Ding Lingdang had never seen before, and Wei Qingqing had retrieved a lot of precious star maps from the debris of the ‘Messenger starships’. Countless experts and scholars of the Pangu Clan and the Nuwa Clan had been busy providing the greatest technical support for the exploration operation.

In fact, the Pangu Clan and the Nuwa Clan had been the best candidates for the exploration. After all, their ancestors had carried out a similar operation a million years ago. Although the exploration was not very far away from the black wall, the scale of the operation was tens of thousands of times larger than that of Operation Messenger.

However, the simplest and most important reason was still that they had to retreat to the back lines and give up on the first wave—they were too large and too heavy.

It was going to be a long journey in the sea of stars. The energy and resources required to increase the size and mass of the starship were astronomical. It must be noted that the latest exploration starship might have to perform tens of thousands of space jumps. The difficulty and danger of the mission would be ten times higher if the mass of the space travelers was increased by one gram.

Therefore, in order to explore a few ‘subuniverse’ where intelligent creatures might exist, human beings that were smaller in size and lighter in mass were more suitable to take the lead.

Passing through the silver, almost transparent crystal pathway, Ding Lingdang met the other ‘travelers’ in the last preparation cabin.

She, Long Yangjun, Boss Bai, Yan Liren, Li Linghai, Xiao Ming, Wei Qingqing… Maybe they were her old friends, maybe they were her old enemies, maybe they were in different life forms, and maybe they had different ideas and expectations about the future. But right now, all they could do was smile at each other and sense each other’s beliefs and determination.

“It seems that everybody has made clear where they want to explore!”

Ding Lingdang looked around and smiled at Boss Bai. “Boss Bai, where are you going to start?”

“Here—”

Boss Bai took out a star map from the crystal processor on his wrist without any hesitation. “The battlefield where the expedition army of the Pangu Clan fought the Flood Tide Legion was an earthshaking, epic war. Even after a million years, I believe that countless starship remnants are still floating among the stars. Maybe, there are still some interesting things that can survive and develop with the remnants of the battlefield? I want to check it out first before I make any plans. What about you?”

It is indeed the style of the Pirate Potentate.

Ding Lingdang brought up her own star map, too. “This is my first target. Sister Qingqing said that, according to the astronomical parameters and the ancient intelligence collected by the Resistance Alliance, it is very likely that a furious undercurrent of spiritual energy exists in the sea of stars. If a habitable planet happens to be wherever the undercurrent goes, and if it is selected by the survivors of the Primeval Clan, it will most likely evolve into a universe where the strong reign supreme and the martial arts reign supreme. I want to go there and experience the legendary ‘battle aura’.

“Same as me.”

Xiao Ming rubbed his hands and grinned. “My target is this space zone. Aunt Qingqing said that there are a lot of weird heavy elements in the sea of stars. If the survivors of the Primeval Clan choose this place as a shelter, it is very likely that a deformed ‘mechanical universe’ will be developed in millions of years. It sounds very suitable for me.

While they were talking and laughing, they introduced their first target.

Of course, the intelligence that Wei Qingqing brought was vague. Nobody knew whether or not the so-called ‘Battle Aura Universe’ and ‘Mechanical Universe’ really existed.

But they firmly believed that they were not alone. Their own kind and friends must still exist in the vast universe. Even if they were not ‘battle aura’ or ‘mechanical’, there must be something different about them.

“Hey, wait.”

After everyone finished their introductions, Wei Qingqing suddenly frowned and said, “Why do I feel that we are missing a person?”

“I’m here. Ladies and gentlemen, fellow Cultivators, my friends who have been waiting in front of the Spiritual Nexus and the light beam for a long time, it’s finally my turn. The new legend of the universe, the great sorcerer Han Te, has shown up! Hahahaha!”

After a burst of earsplitting laughter, a crimson cloak that was carved with countless weird runes and out of place in the world of Cultivators flew into the room. The cloak was fluttering even though there was no wind, as if it belonged to a guy who was enjoying himself. Then, the guy suddenly appeared in front of the cloak. “Are you shocked? Are you shivering? Are you dumbfounded? Is this… the power of magic?”

Veins were bulging on the foreheads of Ding Lingdang, Boss Bai, Li Linghai, Long Yangjun, and Yan Liren.

They looked over Han Te’s shoulder at the boxing champion who was walking close slowly.

“Punching King, have you really decided to let the boy explore the ‘magical universe’ in your place?”

Ding Lingdang hesitated. “You must know that, according to the information awakened in your core database, the ‘magical universe’ is the one that is most likely to exist and the one that is most likely to be found. It was your home in your previous life. Do you really not want to go back and take a look?”

“The past is history. Right now, the Pangu Universe is my only home.

The Fist King was still controlling the broken civil puppet that was so rusted that it was hard to tell whether it was made of metal or wood. More wildflowers and gold foils were growing out of the joints. However, the air around him made Xiao Ming, who was carrying the latest combat puppet, unable to look at him in the eyes. “After six years of hard training, Han Te has grasped the mysteries of magic, and he has passed all of your tests to prove that he is strong enough to explore the space zones, hasn’t he?”

“Indeed, but…”

Ding Lingdang frowned. “Are you sure that injecting unparalleled magical mysteries into his brain in only several years will not cause any… permanent damage to his brain?”

“Rest assured. Han Te is the most talented man in the Pangu Universe. He is born to be a sorcerer and not a Cultivator. The magical universe and the magical towers are the best choices for him. I believe that he will find the magical universe and be like a fish in water there.

“Besides,” the Fist King said, “we can’t send all the top experts out. Somebody has to stay and protect the Pangu Universe. Recently, I’ve had a vague feeling that danger beyond our calculation is lurking somewhere in the Pangu Universe.
