The wind howled and the torrential rain poured. The strange thing was that, just twenty meters away on the street, it was silent and not a trace of rain was seen. The dim streetlight illuminated the yellowish mist, like a ghost fire flickering to life in the dark night.

The wind once again blew across her face, the nun propped herself up with her limbs and looked up, but she still couldn’t find Piggy Shampoo’s figure.

A54 Piggy Shampoo.

The nun didn’t know the specific details of the other’s logic skill or even whether they were male or female. However, this was a level five user.

At this time, the entire area was covered in a transparent liquid.

The garden outside the house, the house with the red and white tiles, and even the short fencing. Piggy Shampoo was everywhere.

If the nun could see the scene outside, she would see that the Piggy Shampoo on the street was gradually decreasing at a slow speed. Just like a low tide, the transparent liquid was slowly receding. Because Piggy Shampoo is only a level five user and since even Water Punishment was suppressed to an inferior position in Holy Sacrifice’s field, PIggy Shampoo, who was only ranked 54th was suppressed even more.

After an hour at most, Piggy Shampoo would be suppressed to a point where it would be hard for them to maintain their logic skill.

However, an hour was too long.

The nun’s eyes reflected the dark night, she couldn’t wait for Luo Sheng to react and come out of the house to team up with Piggy Shampoo. Taking advantage of the time before the two met up, she had to hurry and leave.

On the slippery lawn, the nun used both of her hands and feet to try and escape as fast as possible.

She reacted so fast that it took less than three seconds for her to jump out of the window and discover Piggy Shampoo’s logic skill.

In this short time, under Luo Sheng’s condition and injury, was enough for a powerful level five user to escape.

However, what was faster than Luo Sheng herself was her logic skill.

“Pop—”

The nun heard a strange breaking sound.

It was like a bubble was blown to its maximum but due to the surface tension being unable to hold the gas inside, the sound of a sudden explosion was created.

…Wait, bubbles?

The nun’s eyes widened, looking back at the quiet little house. Suddenly, a sea of white bubbles instantly overwhelmed her!

“Shampoo plus water, do you know what that makes?”

Her entire vision was obscured by snow-white bubbles making the nun unable to see where Luo Sheng was, but from her voice, she could tell that the other had already walked out of the house.

“It’s bubbles.”

A crisp, young voice came from afar.

The nun didn’t have time to care who that teenager was. She could determine one thing, however, which was that when Luo Sheng asked her that question, the first half was said ten meters away from her. However, the second half was said from a position twenty meters away.

Immediately, she knew what the other party was going to do.

In this area of bubbles created by Piggy Shampoo and Luo Sheng’s logic skill, if Luo Sheng can quickly leave the area, then so could she. However, just as the nun was about to flee from the bubbles, the bubbles in front of her suddenly became heavy enough to form a wall, delaying her.

“You’re now in the logic skill imposed by both me and Captain Water Punishment, so wherever you try to run, we’ll know. As long as she and I strengthen our logic skills in the direction of your escape, the bubbles will increase in density. No matter how strong a level five user is, it’s impossible for them to easily escape.” After a pause, the teenager snorted coldly: “Although after five seconds at most, you’ll escape this twenty meter area.”

Luo Sheng’s voice came from another direction: “But five seconds is enough.”

At the same time, on the church’s bell tower in the distance, dozens of team members were already holding rockets, aiming at the house’s position.

At the very moment, after the snow-white bubble cage was formed, the team members showed a victorious smile.

“It’s already 2046, are there still users who fight others with their bare hands?”

In the next second.

“Boom—”

In the darkness of the night, people ran downstairs without putting on a coat, gathering in the empty streets.

But soon, someone noticed something strange.

“This isn’t an earthquake!”

“Look over there! What is that?”

Hundreds of thousands of people looked at the place that lit up half the sky.

On the west side of the Huangpu River, in the housing space of the old French Concession, countless shells and artillery were fired into this high-end residential area.

Millions of people in Haidu were shocked to see this thrilling scene of artillery fire.

Half an hour later.

This artillery barrage lasted for thirty minutes before finally stopping.

The police walked into the populated residential areas and sent the citizens lingering on the streets home. The official statement hadn’t been announced yet, but there was speculation among the people that the answer was most likely a terrorist attack.

But no matter what, it would be horrifying for such a terrifying terrorist attack to happen in the middle of the city. Some of the elderly even thought of the plane flying into the skyscraper at the beginning of the century. Perhaps this attack in Haidu won’t be much simpler than that.

The speculation from the outside world was something for them to consider tomorrow and now, for Haidu’s Extermination Team, their top priority is to seize A14, Holy Sacrifice.

When the first shell landed on the garden of the Howard Family’s ancestral home, the nun still had a chance to escape. She was a level five user and Luo Sheng had never thought of bringing a gun to arrest her because guns had no effect on level five users who were quick to react and fast.

However, for those five seconds, the dozens of team members with high-pressure rockets bombarded the bubble area the nun was in, making it so that even the nun had lost her ability to escape.

Luo Sheng didn’t let the team members stop attacking.

Until they had fired for half an hour, after making sure that the nun was no longer able to escape, that the ground was scorched and the area blown into ruins, Luo Sheng walked to the middle of the pit and saw the dying woman.

“Huo Lanxu.”

At the very bottom of the pit was a lump of charred flesh that only held a vague humanoid form.

Luo Sheng’s cold face didn’t show a single expression: “November 19th, you had long planted ‘Pope’s Crown’s’ logic skill on the innocent marchers in Zhongdu, at least half a month ago. But you chose yesterday, November 19th, to activate this logic skill.

“Does this day hold some type of special meaning to you?”

The charred flesh seemed to squirm a little, but there was no sound.

Huo Lanxu couldn’t make any noise anyways.

“There should be some type of meaning, after all, you’re a person who misses the past glory of your family. You were once a European aristocrat? The big miss of a rich family?” Luo Sheng said sarcastically: “Are you still living in the last century?”

Soon, the extermination team’s team members rushed to the scene.

Just as the team members were preparing to carry Holy Sacrifice away, Luo Sheng suddenly moved, a cluster of ice spikes piercing Huo Lanxu’s limbs. The charred black flesh couldn’t help but tremble as she was nailed to the stretcher.

“Captain?” A team member asked in shock.

Luo Sheng looked indifferent: “She’s still a level five user, just in case.”

The team members began to clean up the scene.

The entire residential area of the French Concession was blown into ruins.

However, blowing up an area inhabited by rich people in comparison to catching a level five user really wasn’t a big deal. In the beginning, the team members painstakingly cleared the surrounding crowd so that they could use weapons to block Holy Sacrifice.

Looking at the busy backs of the team members, Luo Sheng suddenly shifted her vision, walking to the end of Haoming Street.

The streetlights were blown up by countless artillery fire and only the dim moonlight illuminated the earth.

Piggy Shampoo’s upper body was hidden in the shadow of a large tree, revealing only a pair of slightly yellowed sneakers. He wasn’t very tall, only half a head shorter than Water Punishment. His voice was slightly hoarse, probably because he still hasn’t completed puberty.

“A Rank task, assisting the Haidu Extermination Team in capturing Holy Sacrifice. I’ve completed it.”

Luo Sheng raised her head and in the darkness, she could only see the thin silhouette of the teenager. As for his face… she casually took a glance.

The other party was wearing an old pig mask.

Luo Sheng went straight to the point: “The money will be sent to your account tomorrow.”

“Don’t send it to the account, just place the cash in the area I ask and I’ll go and pick it up. But there’s also another reward.”

“Contribution points? You’re the first level five user that isn’t anonymous, but even if you get a large number of contribution points, the Grow Some Brains APP still won’t hide your name. Polluter 004 can’t display the names of the top 53 not because they’re in the top 53, but because the logic skills of those 53 people have reached the same level of strength as 004.” This was a matter of personal strength, it has nothing to do with contribution points.

“…”

“I’m not talking about this.”

Luo Sheng’s eyelashes moved slightly. She calmly looked at the boy in front of her.

“The task reward promised me one favor within the extent of the law.”

Luo Sheng: “What do you want?”

Piggy Shampoo said an answer.

Luo Sheng thought for a short moment: “Ok.”

The brief conversation lasted for less than three minutes and after getting the answer he wanted, Piggy Shampoo turned around to leave. Suddenly, he stopped and remembered something: “Has that guy… gotten to level seven yet?”

Luo Sheng froze for a moment: “Not yet.”

“…Can I add another request to that favor? I want to move to a place as far away from Haidu and Zhongdu as possible.”

Luo Sheng said calmly: “People are alive, you don’t know what city people will be in when they collapse. You can choose to cure your father’s illness first then find a mountain and old forest to live in seclusion. Or simply go abroad which is safer.”

Piggy Shampoo: “…”

You say that like it makes a difference!

Piggy Shampoo left in anger.

Luo Sheng was calm. She soon made a call, found someone from the government, and according to the request from Piggy Shampoo, brought all the best doctors in the country to Haidu’s Second Hospital to treat all the terminal cancer patients in that hospital.

After hanging up the phone, Luo Sheng walked back to the ruins of the house and couldn’t stop thinking of that little friend who was unwilling to face reality.

Piggy Shampoo’s request was to use the government’s hand to treat his father’s illness. But in order to hide his identity, he demanded that all the patients in his father’s hospital be treated together.

Although there aren’t a lot of users like PIggy Shampoo who haven’t had their identity checked by the government yet, there are still some out there.

Logic skills don’t appear out of nowhere, and if they awaken a logic skill, they must have been exposed to logic factors. Just like Xiao Jinyu, he was found because the only logic skill event in the city that day was White Garden’s logic storm and he was the only survivor.

However, sometimes the logic skill event involves way too many people and witnesses. 004 can count how many logic skills have awakened in China in one day and even their general content. However, the government might not be able to follow the information given by 004 to find the holder of the logic skill itself. Piggy Shampoo is one of those that escaped their sight.

“Crunch—”

Luo Sheng’s shoes pressed down on the loose snow on the ground and stopped. She looked up and suddenly noticed that the snow that had been falling all night had stopped without her notice.

Holy Sacrifice was caught.

Tomorrow’s weather must be nice then.

***

Compared with Haidu’s suspected terrorist attack, on the other side in Zhongdu, they were still busy dealing with the casualties caused by the Head-Picking March.

Xu Qi suddenly received the news from Haidu and after learning that Holy Sacrifice was caught, he excitedly clenched his hand and almost crushed the metal casing of his phone.

“Finally caught her!”

Xu Qi immediately told Wang Tao’s group this news.

Wang Tao and Zhao Hen couldn’t help but reveal expressions of joy.

However, Wang Tao quickly calmed down and asked slowly: “Captain Luo didn’t kill her on the spot, did she?”

Xu Qi stilled, then understood his meaning: “She’s still alive. Captain held back.”

Holy Sacrifice wasn’t Meat King’s killer, this Luo Sheng knows. Although if Meat King wasn’t killed by Beauty’s Fragrant Scarf first, then an hour later, he would be killed by Pope’s Crown. But there wasn’t an ‘although’, Meat King really wasn’t killed by the nun.

Of course, this time she held back wasn’t only because she didn’t lose her mind due to anger, but also that the victim this time wasn’t only Meat King alone. Luo Sheng couldn’t freely decide Huo Lanxu’s punishment.

The place Huo Lanxu should go is the Trial Court.

No one had the qualifications to judge her sins alone.

Wang Tao nodded and just as he was about to speak, a team member suddenly ran over: “The numbers are in, Captain. At present, a total of 3987 victims have been identified to have participated in the march, within them, 137 have died and 2887 are injured. The survivors include men and women and it has been confirmed that 2166 of them are virgins because they have regained consciousness, personally admitting it. There are 1787 people left, but their relatives and friends are very sure that they are virgins.”

Xu Qi deduced: “It seems like Pope’s Crown’s logic skill hasn’t changed, it still requires the other person to be ‘physically and mentally pure’. But Holy Sacrifice’s logic skill has changed, she now needs virgin blood. Before she reached level three, she didn’t show to have this prerequisite…” His voice stopped, Xu Qi looked at the youth who came over and asked: “Xiao Jinyu, what do you think?”

“Must be virgins?”

Xu Qi stilled: “En. Although there are still more than a thousand people who we aren’t completely sure about, a sample of over two thousand can determine this. They must be virgins. It’s weird, however.” Xu Qi was deeply impressed by the new user in front of him and the strong deduction ability of the other party once made him ask ‘how come you didn’t upgrade in one day’. He wanted the other to come help as well: “Normally when a user upgrades from level three to four, they will choose to simplify the cause of their logic skill.”

Xu Qi: “For example, if it’s Meat King’s logic skill, he might have some specific requirements for the roasted pork he eats at level three. However, if he thinks in the right direction and finds a way to change the cause of his logic skill and upgrades to level four, then he can remove those tedious restrictions. Not only can he eat roasted pork, but eating white meat, chicken thighs, can also activate his logic skill. But what Huo Lanxu chose to do was to complicate her logic skill’s cause, adding a virgin blood restriction…”

Under the dark sky of the icy night, the moonlight gently shone on the earth.

The grief from the loss of his mother and the physical pain from forcing the use of his logic skill didn’t make Xiao Jinyu form a trace of doubt or thought of retreat. At this moment, however, his lips trembled slightly and for the first time, there was hesitation and confusion in his eyes.

“Are you sure that they must be virgins?”

Xu Qi’s voice stopped abruptly.

In the distance, Su Jiuzhou was carrying the black box where Polluter 008 was stored, gently brushing away the snowflakes on the bottom of the box. Hearing the young man’s trembling voice, he turned his head and looked at the people in the middle of the street.

Xiao Jinyu was silent for a long time: “Is it true that all the victims that entered the logic skill are virgins?”

Wang Tao and Xu Qi’s expressions immediately changed.

Su Jiuzhou stood up, his boots stepping on the snow on the ground. He walked to the middle of the street but just when he was almost there, he slightly stopped, but two seconds later, he continued. He moved to the side, watching the scene in front of him, not saying much, just smiling curiously.

Wang Tao’s mind quickly flashed a thought. He looked at the youth in front of him, his voice thoughtful: “Why did you ask this?”

After a long silence.

Xiao Jinyu looked up and although he looked calm, his eyes were firm and shining: “I want proof that all the victims who entered this logic skill are virgins.”
