After a moment of silence, Qin Chuan turned around and left. He didn’t reply to Jian Yiling’s words.
His reaction was puzzling to everyone.
Then, the birthday party proceeded as normal.
Qin Chuan prepared a huge nine-tier birthday cake for Mo Shiyun.
Among the blessings of the crowd, Mo Shiyun celebrated her twenty-second birthday.
Mo Shiyun clasped her hands together and made a silent wish.
Zhai Yunsheng lowered his head and whispered in Jian Yiling’s ear: “Do you want a birthday party this grand? It will be even more lively than hers.”
“No need,” Jian Yiling refused.
A smile appeared on Zhai Yunsheng’s lips and he said: “Well, let’s celebrate your birthday with just the two of us. No one else will be invited.”
“No,” Jian Yiling replied as she blushed. A memory appeared in her mind.

“Are you sure? You want a baby, no? If we don’t spend time together, how are we going to make a baby?”
Zhai Yunsheng successfully managed to get a hold of Jian Yiling’s weakness.
Jian Yiling hesitated for a moment before she replied: “Okay then. Let’s have a baby.”
“Alright.”
Who would have thought that these two people with serious expressions on their faces would be whispering about such things at a birthday party?
After this conversation, Zhai Yunsheng dragged Jian Yiling to the dance floor and he passed over her favorite desserts. The two of them completely ignored everyone else’s gazes.
With so many pairs of eyes looking at them, one pair of eyes was different from the rest.
His gaze was subtle and he would look elsewhere from time to time.
Mo Shiyun carefully stayed beside Qin Chuan. She did not notice where Qin Chuan’s gaze was going.

There were many women who cast ambiguous glances at Qin Chuan. Each of them was beautiful and of noble origin.
This made Mo Shiyun quite nervous. Therefore, she did not move an inch from his side.
After all, she knew that Jian Yiling did not pose a large threat to her. Jian Yiling was engaged to Zhai Yunsheng. Furthermore, their relationship was very stable. And thus, she wouldn’t steal Qin Chuan from her.
After Zhai Yunsheng and Jian Yiling danced for a while, someone came over to greet Zhai Yunsheng and Jian Yiling.
They smiled at both of them but it was evident that their attention was not on Zhai Yunsheng. Instead, they were interested in Jian Yiling.
Even though the young girl was small and delicate looking, she was the Dean of Lahaisen Hospital.
Therefore, people had to look at and treat her differently.
A few people gathered around her and all of them were overly attentive and hospitable.
“Dean Jian, it’s an honor to meet you here. I’ll drink a toast to you.”
“Many thanks, but I don’t drink,” Jian Yiling replied.
“Yes, yes. My bad for assuming.”
Milk or fruit juice would probably be consumed more often.
“Dean Jian, you’re young yet so capable.”
“Definitely. You’re the most accomplished person I’ve ever seen at this age.”
“Not only are you accomplished, but you’re also a beauty. All those celebrities and so-called stars are nothing when compared to you.”
“Dean Jian, if you’re planning to open a Lahaisen Hospital branch elsewhere, please feel free to contact me.”
The people surrounding Jian Yiling kept complimenting her.
Unlike before, this time, Zhai Yunsheng was the one who got left out.
However, Zhai Yunsheng was not upset. In fact, a playful smile appeared on his face.
If it was a few years ago, absolutely no one would have thought that Master Sheng would become a mere accessory to a woman.
And yet this feeling… It wasn’t that bad.
