At night, Jian Dan fell asleep on Jian Yiling.
On the other hand, Zhai Yunsheng was lying on the other side of the bed.
As Jian Dan slept like a rock, he was completely unaware that someone wanted to throw him out of the room while he was asleep.
“He’s not that young. He can sleep by himself. I will buy him a crib and place it next to our bed,” Zhai Yunsheng conceded.
If he couldn’t return Jian Dan to his parents, at the very least, he had to get him out of their bed.
“He’s only one and a half years old,” Jian Yiling replied. She was happy to have him sleep next to her.
The little boy had a faint smell of milk on him. He was also very soft and cuddly.
“Being one and a half years old means he’s not young anymore,” Zhai Yunsheng stressed.
“Nope, he’s still young,” Jian Yiling insisted. She did not hear the dissatisfaction in Zhai Yunsheng’s voice. Instead, she firmly believed that someone needed to take care of the one-and-a-half-year-old baby.
Upon hearing this, Zhai Yunsheng did not know what to say. He couldn’t really argue against Jian Yiling’s words. Instead, he quietly hugged Jian Yiling who was hugging Jian Dan.
The next morning, Jian Dan was the first to wake. He did not make any noise. Instead, he stared at his beautiful auntie with a pair of glistening eyes.
Zhai Yunsheng also woke up. Their eyes met and they stared at each other.
Jian Dan was not afraid of Zhai Yunsheng. In fact, as Zhai Yunsheng stared at him, he snuggled into Jian Yiling’s arm and put his head on Jian Yiling’s chest.
That little bastard!
As Jian Yiling was wearing loose pajamas, a large patch of skin on her chest was visible.
And this spot was stolen away by Jian Dan’s head.
Because of this little boy, at times, he couldn’t even hug his wife when they were sleeping.
Zhai Yunsheng reached out to gently pinch the little boy’s cheeks.
Even if he was upset, he didn’t want to cause the little boy any pain.
After all, if the little boy started crying, he would be the one who got into trouble.

However, the little boy frowned at this gentle pinch.
Then, tears began to well in his eyes.
“Shhh, don’t cry!” Zhai Yunsheng lowered his voice to warn Jian Dan.
Zhai Yunsheng’s warning was useless. The little boy’s eyes turned red and he immediately began to wail.
“Waaa—!”
Jian Yiling was woken up by the crying. She quickly tried to soothe the little boy.
…“Dandan, don’t cry.”
Even though Jian Yiling sounded emotionless as she said this, it was surprisingly effective on Jian Dan.
The little boy immediately stopped crying.
Then, he pointed a finger at Zhai Yunsheng before huffing: “Bad! Bad! Hit me!”
Upon hearing this, Zhai Yunsheng took a deep breath.
He was being set up by a little kid!
“No no, your uncle is good. He wouldn’t bully you. Don’t cry,” Jian Yiling comforted.
Thankfully, his wife was biased towards him. She trusted his character and knew he wouldn’t do something so unqualified as bullying a child.
“Waaa…”
The little boy somewhat understood Jian Yiling’s words. He burrowed himself into Jian Yiling’s arms and whimpered.
If someone didn’t know better, they’d assume Zhai Yunsheng spanked him ten times instead of gently pinching him.
Jian Yiling had to comfort the little boy for a while before a smile returned to his face.
Then, she went to prepare milk for the little boy.
When she returned, Zhai Yunsheng asked Jian Yiling: “Where’s mine?”
