After An Yang left, Mo Shiyun’s image in the minds of her classmates completely collapsed.
Her classmates didn’t say anything in front of Mo Shiyun. However, the campus forum was full of negative comments about her.
[Wow, Mo Shiyun really did that. She actually took advantage of An Yang’s feelings.]
[Yeah, I heard the conversation between the two of them. It seemed as though An Yang was totally fooled by her!]
[Poor Brother Yang.]
[This is why you shouldn’t be a simp. You will end up with nothing.]
[I honestly didn’t expect this at all. I always thought that Mo Shiyun was a nice, gentle, and good-natured girl… Ahhh…]
Everyone was disgusted by the idea of keeping someone as a B-plan. Furthermore, inciting and asking a person to do stuff for them was even more despicable.
And thus, everyone was overwhelmingly critical of Mo Shiyun.
The students in Mo Shiyun’s class started to stay away from her. Some did this intentionally whilst others did this unintentionally
The scene was very similar to the time when Jian Yiling had been accused of pushing Jian Yunnao down the stairs.
Faced with this, Mo Shiyun gritted her teeth. Her heart was flooded with hatred and bitterness.
When Mo Shiyun returned home in the evening, she went directly to her mother to ask what had happened.
“Mother, you have to tell me what happened. Otherwise, I won’t know what to do.”
Under Mo Shiyun’s persuasion, Mo Huiqin finally revealed the truth to Mo Shiyun.
Mo Shiyun was stunned to hear what her mother had said. It was a big shock to her.
Mo Shiyun felt that a part of her world had collapsed.
Then, she thought about what had happened to her over the past few weeks. She thought about the things that had been taken away from her by Jian Yiling and the rest of the Jian family.
She thought about the chemistry competition, about the evening they were kicked out of the Jian family, about Qin Chuan hanging out with Jian Yiling, about the role that she had been replaced with, and about the abuse she was now receiving at school…

Mo Huiqin panicked when she saw the expression on her daughter’s face: “Shiyun, please don’t scare me. It’s all my fault. It’s my fault for causing all of this.”
Mo Huiqin kept apologizing to her daughter: “I’m sorry. I know I’m wrong but I wanted to handle everything by myself… However… The only thing that I managed to do was to drag you into this mess! I’ve begged them to forgive me… But it was no use… They didn’t listen to me… And now, I’ve dragged you down once again. I’m so sorry.”
Mo Huiqin was sobbing uncontrollably. Her face was covered in tears.
Mo Shiyun gradually came back to her senses: “Mother, don’t cry. I know that you did all of these things for me. Who am I to blame you? The only thing that you did was tell a small lie. The mistake was made by Jian Yunnao himself. And now, the Jian family is turning their mistakes on us!”
Mo Shiyun quickly found a suitable reason for herself and her mother. She refused to admit that she and her mother were the ones at fault. Therefore, the only people that were at fault were the ones who stood against them, the Jian family.
Mo Shiyun continued to speak in a cold voice: “Mother, you used to protect me from the wind and the rain. However, it’s my turn to protect you now! Don’t worry, I won’t let you suffer like this again…”

This weekend was the day of the Jian family’s monthly family gathering.
Other than Jian Shuxing’s youngest brother’s family who was not in Hengyuan City, the rest of the family all headed over to the Old Jian Residence to spend time with Grandma and Grandpa Jian. That day, they all meant to sit down together to eat and chat.
When they arrived at the Old Jian Residence, Jian Yunnao immediately saw the sweater that Jian Yunmo was wearing.
It was the exact same style as the black sweater that his oldest brother was wearing.
Obviously, it was also knitted by Jian Yiling.
Jian Yunnao felt quite upset when he saw this. However, he didn’t dare to ask Yunmo about it. Last time, he was beaten up by his brother. That memory was still fresh in his mind. Furthermore, Yunmo had told him that he had temper issues recently. Due to this reason, it was best to stay away from him.
Not long after the arrival of the Jian Shuxing family, He Yan also arrived with Jian Yumin and Jian Yujie.
Amongst the brothers, most of them wore the sweaters that had been hand-knitted by Jian Yiling. It was as though the few of them had discussed this in advance.
Four identical sweaters. The only thing that was different was the colors.
Jian Yuncheng: Black;
Jian Yunmo: White;
Jian Yumin: Dark red;
Jian Yujie: Light grey;
Jian Yunnao: None.
