“Nope,” Jian Yubo replied. Jian Yubo was a teenager. However, somehow his voice managed to sound a little too old and deep for his age.
“Ahh, all right then,” the girl replied. She appeared to look a little disappointed to hear such a reply.
The little girl turned her head to leave, however, she hesitated for a moment. Then, she turned around again: “Brother Yubo, will you come and play with me? Let’s not read books! Books aren’t fun!”
“I don’t want to play,” Jian Yubo responded. His face was expressionless.
“Ahh, okay.” The little girl pursed her lips in disappointment before she ran away again.
After the girl left, the boy looked up. He gazed at the little girl who was running happily in the distance.
Then his eyes fell back to the book in his hand. There was a little girl’s headband with rabbit beads in his left palm.
A ringing at the door interrupted Jian Yubo’s thoughts.
Jian Yubo unlocked the door with a remote control to allow the person in.
A smartly dressed woman came through the door. She had a pile of information in her hands.
“Boss, here’s the information that you wanted. In addition, the internal secrets of the Jian family that you have in your hands have been released to their competitors. This should cause some damage to the business of the Jian family.”
The woman reported the whole thing in a formulaic manner. She didn’t look anywhere else. She had her gaze fixed on Jian Yubo.
“Furthermore, according to your mother’s instructions, we have given the best resources to the girl named Mo Shiyun. The evidence of Mo Shiyun’s mother’s theft has also been destroyed.”
“Understood. Continue to keep an eye on Jian Yuncheng,” Jian Yubo replied. The look on his face was as cold as his tone. Not a single slither of warmth could be felt from Jian Yubo.
“Yes, boss.”
Then, the female assistant left the room.
Jian Yubo picked up the information that had been left on the desk and flicked through it.

A shadow passed over his expressionless face.
###
In the end, Jian Yumin approached Jian Yiling. He asked her to accompany him for the second episode of the reality show.
Jian Yumin sought after Jian Yiling not only because he was interested in Jian Yiling’s IQ, but also because this was a way that he could spend some alone time with his sister on the weekend.
Ever since Jian Yunmo had returned from overseas, that guy had stolen Jian Yiling’s weekends.
The two of them were either at home doing experiments, doing academic research, or in Grandpa Jian’s greenhouse growing flowers and studying plants together.
No one else could interfere with them.
Even if Jian Yumin returned to the Old Jian Residence on the weekends, he wouldn’t be able to get the attention of his sister.
However, it would be different if Jian Yiling accompanied him for the show.
The mere thought of surviving together in the wilderness and solving puzzles together was very exciting for Jian Yumin.
It took a lot of coaxing and shamelessly persisting before Jian Yiling finally agreed. Furthermore, he had to convince Grandma Jian to ask Jian Yiling as well.
Grandma Jian was only willing to help Jian Yumin because she was a fan of the show as well!
She had watched the first episode air with Grandpa Jian.
Initially, she watched the show because of her grandson. However, whilst Grandpa Jian was complaining about his grandson’s stupidity the entire time, Grandma Jian was laughing her face off. It was quite funny to watch Jian Yumin make so many mistakes.
Grandma Jian’s friends also watched the reality show. After watching the episode, they joked about Xie Minyu. What a straightforward yet simple-minded boy!
And thus, Grandma Jian was looking forward to seeing how her darling would perform in the show.
Grandma Jian was not concerned about Mo Shiyun being in the show as well. The guests could choose to go their own way and thus, there would not be much interaction between the guests.
Furthermore, they were not at fault for anything in the first place. There was no need to intentionally avoid Mo Shiyun.
After Jian Yiling agreed to Jian Yumin’s request, Jian Yumin was delighted for quite some time.
Then, Jian Yumin began to explain the rules of the show to Jian Yiling. He told her about what they had to do.
