Chapter 1289: Earth Emanations Pavilion, Battle God Pavilion, Demon-Killing Pavilion

The divine boat was not huge, but it was very long. It was quite empty. Apart from a huge gate, there seemed to be nothing else inside it. The divine boat was split into the front cabin and the back cabin. An Ying and the ten or so people all entered the front cabin, leaving behind only the strong, middle-aged martial artist holding the whip. He stood outside the door.

“Once you come in, find your own place to sit down. No causing any commotion, or you’ll be kicked out of the divine boat immediately.”

The middle-aged martial artist’s cool gaze landed on Jiang Yi and the Black Deity as they walked in, along with the other martial artists. Even with the Black Deity with him, Jiang Yi did not dare to get too close to this man. Thus, he sat cross-legged against a wall in the middle of the room.

People kept streaming in. Each of them found a place and sat down quietly. Jiang Yi counted the number of people in the cabin and found that a minority had not entered—about a hundred of them. He guessed that those people were trying their luck to make it to Earth Emanations Domain on their own.

Tsk! Tsk!

On seeing that no more people were entering the cabin, the middle-aged martial artist slapped a wall of the cabin with one hand. The huge door slowly closed, and the Divine Boat lit up. The walls had become transparent. Everybody inside could clearly see the surroundings outside.

Indeed, close to a hundred people decided not to enter. These people must be very confident in their own abilities.

Jiang Yi looked down at the altar and saw close to a hundred people standing below. Before the divine boat left, none of them moved. The two remaining soldiers from Earth Emanations Domain did not bother about them but remained cross-legged where they were.

The amazing thing was that Jiang Yi and company could see everything outside from inside the cabin. The hundred-or-so people outside, however, could not see Jiang Yi or anyone else inside. The divine boat kept flashing with white light, resembling a white flood dragon headed straight for the Earth Emanations Sea. In a couple of blinks, it disappeared before the very eyes of the hundred or so people standing on the altar.

“Go!”

One of the white-haired elders standing on the altar shouted out, and the hundred or so people flew as fast as they could in the direction of the sea as well. However, upon entering the sea, many of them became stunned. The waves were extremely powerful. Many of them kept getting pushed back and slammed hard against the walls of the cliffs. Their mouths filled with blood. It was obvious they were injured. Still, others’ skills were not bad. Their bodies were swift as swallows, traveling through the waves or going deeper into the sea.

What kind of freaking sea is this? Why are the waves so terrifying?

After being pushed back repeatedly, a couple of people finally realized that there was no way they could go further into the sea. All they could do was wait awkwardly on the rocks of the cliff. They found the two Earth Emanations soldiers and got down on their knees. “My Lords, we were wrong. Please let us onto the divine boat.”

“You want to get onto the divine boat now? It’s too late…”

One of the soldiers widened his eyes, mocking them. “Sit here and wait for a year.”

“A year? That’s alright, that’s alright!” A martial artist with a face full of scars heaved a sigh of relief. A year would pass fast for martial artists of their level. All they would have to do was sit down, close their eyes, and cultivate.

“Keke!”

The other soldier opened his eyes and smiled mockingly as well. “We forgot to tell you: over here, one day is counted as the fall of the blood moon and the rise of the purple sun. That is equivalent to a hundred days in your lower domain.”

“What?”

The tens of people stared at them, stunned. One day here was equivalent to a hundred days in the lower domain. Didn’t that mean they would have to wait several hundred more years?

A few people’s eyes twinkled as they turned to look at the big sea. Some people stupidly wanted to try their luck again. After all, hundreds of years was way too long for them. One of the soldiers waved his hand and said, “If you want to go to the Earth Emanations Sea yourself, you can go ahead, but… I can make it clear to you now: without a divine boat—even if we tried to enter the Earth Emanations Sea, we will perish for sure…”

“Uh—”

The tens of people left behind were thoroughly frightened now. As they watched the martial artists still struggling inside the sea, they felt like they were watching corpses floating around. None of them dared to mess around anymore. All of them sat down cross-legged, ready to cultivate for a year. Still, they felt sick to their stomachs. If they had known earlier, they would have boarded the divine boat earlier.

“Everyone, listen up!”

Inside the divine boat, the Earth Emanations soldier holding the black whip suddenly shouted. “My name is An Wu. I am the third greatest assistant commander in the Earth Emanations Army’s Blue Eagle Mansion. I’m going to briefly introduce you to Earth Emanations Domain and Blue Eagle Mansion now. I am only going to say this once.”

Jiang Yi and company perked up, quickly focusing intently on what An Wu was saying. An Wu’s gaze was as sharp as a blade as he scanned each person inside the divine boat. In a low voice, he said, “The Earth Emanations Domain is one of the world’s ten greatest domains. The Earth Emanations Domain’s owner is the Earth Emanations Sovereign. This man is the supreme being in Earth Emanations Domain. The Earth Emanations Army is the only army that enforces the law in this domain. If anyone dares to offend the army or break the law of this domain, you will perish!

“There aren’t many rules in the Earth Emanations Domain. First, you cannot attack Earth Emanations soldiers, or you will be killed! Second, you cannot use your powers in the cities, or you will be killed! Third, you are not to go against Earth Emanations Orders, or you will be killed. Other than these… there are no other rules!

“A day and a half later, you will arrive at Blue Eagle Prefecture. When that time comes, you can choose to join Earth Emanations Pavilion, Battle God Pavilion, or the Demon-Killing Pavilion. Of course, you can also choose not to join any group and try to make it on your own. However… there are only three places where you can obtain battle merits and earn huge amounts of divine roots. Without either of these, you will have a tough time inside Earth Emanations Domain. Alright, now all of you can go back to your seats and cultivate. Do not cause any commotion or use your martial arts here, or you will bear the consequences.”

Once An Wu had finished speaking, he took big steps into the front cabin. The gate closed slowly, leaving thousands of pairs of confused gazes looking for his body once again. Jiang Yi and the Black Deity exchanged a look. Neither of them understood what An Wu had just said either.

“Earth Domain? Is that what they call the Higher Domain? Earth Emanations Pavilion? Battle God Pavilion? Demon-Killing Pavilion? What’s the difference between all of these? Why didn’t he explain it to us? How do we obtain battle merits? And what are divine roots?”

Jiang Yi kept mumbling to himself softly. All around him, people were beginning to murmur to one another as well. However, everyone understood the rules full well. Thus, they all spoke in hushed tones. An Wu said not to cause any commotion, but he did not say they were not allowed to talk. There should not be too big of a problem if they spoke softly.

“Keke!”

A young, handsome martial artist in elegant battle armor suddenly spoke up. “Everyone, my father is in Demon-Killing Pavilion; and he’s a commander at that. Father sent some news about Earth Emanations Domain to me using a special method. If you want to listen to it, you can come to me and ask for it. However, you must give me some treasure. If you give me one treasure, I’ll tell you one thing. Don’t cause any commotion. If you do and you get kicked out, don’t blame me either.

“I also want to tell everyone that there are Chaos Beasts in this Earth Emanations Sea. They know how to make use of the laws of heaven and earth naturally, and they are extremely formidable. Us aside—even if Lord An Wu enters that sea, they have only a ten percent chance of surviving. Of course… if you are in this divine boat, you are safe for sure.”

“Uh!”

The young man’s words attracted everyone’s attention. Everyone had just ascended from the lower domain and had no idea about anything here. Of course, they wanted to know as much as they could. On the spot, two people rushed toward the young man. From within their interspatial ring, they retrieved some treasures. Surprisingly, the young man shook his head and said, “These things are all treasures only in the lower domain. They are not worth a cent over here. Divine artifacts—I only want divine artifacts! One divine artifact can be exchanged for three questions!”

Ss, ss…

Many people sucked in a deep breath. All of them were from the lower domain; who would have divine artifacts? Many people wanted to ask many questions, but all of them had no choice but to turn around awkwardly.

Jiang Yi’s eyes, however, brightened. After thinking for a long while, he gritted his teeth and walked over to the young man. Then, from his Ancient Divine Essence Ring, he retrieved a battle sword and handed it to the handsome, young man, saying, “I want to ask three questions.”

This was Wu Shang’s divine battle sword. Jiang Yi did not give it to anyone. Stellarsky Domain was very safe at that moment. There was no reason to hand it to anyone there. Although it physically hurt to give this sword to this man, he could not wait to hear news about Jiang Xiaonu. Thus, he had no choice but to bite his tongue through the pain.

“This man did pretty well in the lower domain! My name is He Wei. You can mix around with me from now on.” The handsome, young man took the battle sword satisfactorily and smiled. Many other people looked at the divine battle sword enviously and greedily as He Wei kept it. “Brother, please shoot.”

That’s not good; I should not flaunt my wealth!

Jiang Yi’s soul spirit trembled. Just a second ago, he felt at least hundreds of pairs of eyes lock onto him. Among them, tens of people emitted killing intent. It showed that they were eyeing the treasures that he was carrying around with him. He Wei said that his father was from Demon-Killing Pavilion. Ordinary people would not dare to go after him. Jiang Yi, however, was different.

It doesn’t matter anymore!

While they were still in the divine boat, none of them dared to take action. Jiang Yi decided that he would think about his next step once they arrived at Blue Eagle Prefecture. He turned back to He Wei and waved his hand as he said, “Lord He, I have a friend who ascended together with me, but I don’t know where she is now. How should I find her?”
