Chapter 1444: Silver Demon Mask

Translator: Atlas Studios  Editor: Atlas Studios

Inside a side hall in the Earth Emanations Castle, a few talents were getting impatient.

In that side hall, Mo Lingqiu sat nonchalantly, sipping his tea. On either side of him were young, good-looking men and women; dressed elegantly. On his left was a very sexy and slender lady in a short, black skirt. This woman was more beautiful than Xuanyuan Lingyan. A significant fraction of her fair, long legs were revealed. These especially were the delight of many young gentlemen.

This woman knew how to dress herself well. No one knew what type of material her skirt was made of, but it gave off a very distinguished vibe. There was a row of pearls hanging in front of her chest, matching her black skirt exceptionally well. There were also purple pearls on the earrings hanging from her earlobes. Her hair was tied up, revealing her fair, jade-like neck. Her overall vibe was elegant and dignified.

However, this woman had certain arrogance about her, just like Xuanyuan Lingyan. Not just her—but among the four remaining people seated inside the side hall, three young gentlemen had the same arrogance. It was almost as if they thought they were the moon that shone down on the earth and that mere mortals should not be allowed near them.

That was true for all except one person!

In the left corner was a petite, young lady dressed in a pink dress. She wore a sweet smile on her face, and her eyes closed slightly in a smile. She made the people around her feel warm and comfortable. The other four people were seated around the table sipping tea, but she was the only one looking out from time to time. There was curiosity in her eyes.

Shh-shh-shh!

At last, she heard the sound of footsteps coming from outside. Mo Lingqiu looked up. Apart from the young lady in the pink dress, the other four people’s expressions darkened. They looked down and sipped their tea. None of them bothered to look outwards.

A black figure floated towards them outside. Behind him was a red-haired young man. His face was clean-shaven, and there was a hint of a smile on his lips. He made people around him feel as light as a spring breeze. The moment he entered, he scanned the five young masters and young mistresses and then turned towards the young lady dressed in the pink dress. He smiled slightly and nodded, and he then cupped his hands to Mo Lingqiu. “Jiang Yi greets the Pavilion Lord!”

“Jiang Yi, you are here!”

Mo Lingqiu got up and smiled, gesturing to the young masters and young mistresses around him and introducing them one by one to Jiang Yi. He pointed to the lady in the black skirt first. “This is Mo Huaisang, the Sovereign’s beloved granddaughter. This is Jiutian Wen, the eighteenth young master of the Jiutian Clan. This is Xuanyuan Wudi, the first young master of the Xuanyuan Clan. This is Qin Huan, the monster-genius of the Qin Clan. Last of all, this is Di Ling’er, your Pavilion Lord Di Ming’s youngest and beloved granddaughter.”

Five geniuses, five monsters!

The five of them did not put on the insignia or badge of the Earth Emanations Pavilion, Battle God Pavilion, or Demon-Killing Pavilion. However, Jiang Yi had a rough sense that all of them were Heaven Emanations, God Thearchs, and Battle Gods. Mo Huaisang, Di Ling’er, and Qin Huan especially were still very young. In fact, Di Ling’er and Qin Huan looked just like children to Jiang Yi.

Horrifying!

Jiang Yi could say that he had met real geniuses now. Although the five of them were from great family clans and had endless resources at their fingertips—without talent, how could they advance so fast in terms of cultivation? Jiutian Ze, Xuanyuan Lingyan, and Qin Rong were from the same clans as these three; and yet they did not seem to have such pervertic skills.

“How are you? My name is Di Ling’er. My grandfather has told me a lot about you.”

The young lady in the pink dress smiled sweetly as she stood up and greeted Jiang Yi. Jiang Yi smiled and answered, “How do you do, Young Lady Ling’er!”

The other people just nodded curtly at Jiang Yi. Mo Huaisang—the elegant young lady dressed in the sexy black dress—did not even spare Jiang Yi a glance. Instead, she rushed Mo Lingqiu and said, “Fifth Grandfather, can we go now?”

“Jiang Yi, don’t mind her. This lass has been spoiled since a young age.”

Mo Lingqiu sent a voice transmission to Jiang Yi, clearly embarrassed. He waved his hand casually and said, “Let’s go. We’re going to Saint Spirit Domain.”

Jiang Yi nodded subtly, but he did not take it to heart. These young masters and young mistresses from great family clans were all indigenous divine races. Their family clans were outstanding, and they were born with a hint of arrogance in their blood. It was only natural for them to look down on dirt who ascended from the Lower Domain. The Jiutian Clan, Xuanyuan Clan, and Qin Clan had all ran into conflict with Jiang Yi as well. It was good enough already that the three young masters had nodded to him in acknowledgment earlier.

What surprised him was that Di Ling’er was acting so friendly to him. This increased the respect that Jiang Yi felt for Di Ming. The Di Clan’s discipline must have been very strict. What’s more, Di Ming must have had a good judgment of him. This was probably why Di Ling’er was influenced to treat Jiang Yi this way.

The entire group followed Mo Shangxing into a corridor outside. Midway through, Mo Lingqiu seemed to remember something. He retrieved a silver mask from his ring and handed it to Jiang Yi. At the same time, he sent a voice transmission: “Jiang Yi, refine this mask. Once you put it on—apart from King-Ranked formidable martial artists, people would not be able to see your true looks or sense your aura. Once we get to Saint Spirit Domain, just follow me. Don’t reveal your identity. If you do anything rash, I will throw you into my interspatial ring by force. These are orders from the Sovereign himself!”

“Yes!”

A bitter smile spread across Jiang Yi’s lips. He had wanted to bring the Poison Spirit with him at first, but Mo Shangxing did not allow him to. Now, they were making it clear that he was not to do anything rash, or else he would be taken down immediately. He had still thought that even if he could not rescue Yi Piaopiao, he would at least be able to see her. Now, it looked like it was all wild imagination on his part.

“The Silver Demon Mask?”

Mo Huaisang scanned it, and the corners of her lips twitched. Dissatisfied, she whined, “Fifth Grandfather, I begged you to let me play with the mask back then, but you didn’t let me. Now, you’re giving it to him? You’re so biased…”

Mo Lingqiu smiled bitterly and explained, “If your grandfather had not given orders, I would not let Jiang Yi have it as well. Lass, when we get back, I’ll give you a Purple Jade Bamboo. I’ll even ask Master An to turn it into a jade flute for you. Is that enough?”

“A Purple Jade Bamboo? That’s more like it.”

Mo Huaisang immediately smiled again. She placed her hands behind her back and tilted her chin upwards like a proud peacock and then walked forward. Jiang Yi stared at her for a couple of seconds, but he decided not to bother too much. Instead, he began to refine the mask using his heavenly powers.

Mo Lingqiu had already undone the spiritual imprint inside the mask. Within seconds, Jiang Yi finished refining it. He gently placed the mask on his face. It stuck automatically. It felt like he did not even have it on.

The aura around Jiang Yi’s body disappeared the moment he put on the mask. He looked just like a mortal, who did not have any cultivation level. Anyone who looked at the silver mask would experience heart palpitations. It would be like Jiang Yi was an extremely powerful formidable martial artist. No one would dare to offend him.

“The Silver Demon Mask is indeed something else!”

Di Ling’er stared at it for a while and then whispered under her breath. Jiutian Wen, Xuanyuan Wudi, and Qin Huan looked at it for a while and nodded subtly as well. This really was a valuable treasure. Apart from hiding one’s aura, it also possessed a terrifying prowess. The silver glow also added to the mystery that Jiang Yi already had.

“Let’s go!”

Mo Lingqiu led the group through the long corridor. At last, they entered a huge side hall. There was a big Teleportation Formation in the middle of this side hall, and five Heaven Emanations guarding it. When they saw the group enter the side hall, they immediately bowed.

“Activate the Teleportation Formation!”

Mo Lingqiu led the group into the Teleportation Formation. The five Heaven Emanations kept channeling their heavenly powers into the Teleportation Formation, causing it to activate slowly.

Saint Spirit Domain! Mother, your child is coming to find you.

Although Jiang Yi had a mask on, his eyes and nose were both exposed to the outer world. His eyes immediately turned hot, and his heart thudded. He had worked so hard for so many years, and he was finally going to make it to the realm where his mother was.
