“Netherworld Race, if I have the ability to, I will definitely wipe you all out!”
Jiang Yi secretly swore. The Netherworld Realm was the mortal enemy of the human race. The human race was like a rabbit while the Netherworld Race was an eagle; if the Netherworld Race wasn’t eliminated, humans would keep on getting demonized and become the Netherworld Realm’s lackeys. Their soul spirits would be absorbed into purgatory while their bodies would become walking zombies, doing the bidding of the Netherworld Race.
“Take note: the vanguard is made of Netherworld Slaves while the main army comprises the Netherworld Realm’s army! There should be tens of thousands of them!”
Mo Shangxing said softly. Jiang Yi glanced at Xiao Leng as Xiao Leng and a few Xiao Clan formidable martial artists immediately started to transmit this information to the entire army, cautioning everyone to be careful. As Jiang Yi’s army swiftly cleansed the Netherworld Slaves, their attention turned to the Netherworld Realm army in the distance as their faces grew steadily more serious.
They were getting closer and closer.
Tsk-tsk! Gu-gu! Jek-jek!
Jiang Yi heard the howls of the Netherworld Realm monsters and could finally see the Netherworld Realm army clearly. The Netherworld Realm armies were mainly made up of three types of Netherworld Realm beings. The first type was scaled zombie kings in pitch-black human forms. These zombie kings wielded black iron shackles on their hands and legs; their teeth were sharp and frighteningly white when they howled out loud.
Another type was also in human form. However, these had three bodies, three heads, and six hands. Each hand held onto a special, wood-made spiked mace. They swung their maces as they walked, stirring up the winds as they went.
The third type was very familiar to Jiang Yi. They were the skeletal giants. However, the skeletal giants in this army were not as tall and big as those he had encountered before. These were only a-hundred-odd feet tall like small mountains. Every time they lumbered forward, the ground would tremble; and the mountains would shake.
All three Netherworld Realm beings had a commonality: Netherworld Aura revolved about their bodies and covered the heavens and the earth while a demonic blaze trailed them. All their eyes were also bloodshot and just like the two blood moons in the sky; it was heart-stopping.
“These are all Netherworld Envoys; there is no need to fear them! Order our troops to start attacking. I will bring you along to cleanse the enemy of their Netherworld Aura. As long as they do not have the Netherworld Aura around them, their attacking strength would deplete swiftly; and they can be easily killed!” Mo Shangxing scanned about and ascertained that there weren’t any Netherworld Generals around as he sent a voice transmission to Jiang Yi.
“Kill!”
Jiang Yi howled out furiously as he became the vanguard and shot forward, with Mo Shangxing easily catching up with him and his group trailing behind him. After a while, Mo Shangxing probably felt that Jiang Yi’s speed was too slow and decided to pull Jiang Yi ahead with him.
“Xiao Long, bring your men and follow behind us!”
Xiao Leng shouted towards an Earth Emanations Army general in the far distance. Normally, he would not have the right to order Xiao Long to do anything. However, circumstances were different now. As Xiao Leng was now Jiang Yi’s follower while Xiao Hong had to be respectful of Jiang Yi, Xiao Leng’s position had naturally elevated immensely.
Xiao Long brought five thousand Earth Emanations Army soldiers and followed behind Jiang Yi. Jiang Yi did not bother with attacking; he only controlled his Xiaozhuan characters to fly about in the sky. Wherever the Xiaozhuan characters light shield went, the Netherworld Aura was automatically purged and the Netherworld Realm beings’ strength would be severely depleted.
Tsk-tsk! Gu-gu! Jek-jek!
Three types of hair-raising howls rang out as countless Netherworld Realm beings shot forward, wanting to attack Jiang Yi and company. However, there were just too many formidable martial artists near Jiang Yi. The Ink Feather Race formidable martial artists did not even need to attack; the Poison Spirit, Mo Shangxing, and Xiao Leng—as well as the two Demon-Killing Pavilion Demon-Killing Battle Gods—would easily slaughter any incoming Netherworld Envoys.
Tsk! Tsk!
A few zombie kings raised their iron shackles and spun them about in the sky as sharp screeching noises rang out. The tens of feet long iron shackles gathered the winds about them. Surrounding them was nothing but pitch-black darkness, it was a very frightening sight.
However, although these zombie kings looked fierce, they were killed instantly by casual attacks from Xiao Leng and company. The scales on their chests split piece by piece as black blood splattered everywhere. The three-headed monsters also looked murderous; however, their offensive and defensive abilities were even weaker. Only the skeletal giants’ defenses were slightly stronger; Xiao Leng’s attacks could only send them flying but could not kill them outright.
Jiang Yi surveyed the situation and realized that his group’s efficiency was still lacking. He shouted, “We don’t need to kill them; just send them flying. Only kill the skeletal giants and leave the rest to the army behind us!”

“That’s right! The Netherworld Envoys that have been cleansed of the Netherworld Aura are extremely weak; we shouldn’t attack them. Leave it to the army behind us to wipe them out! Let’s hurry!”
Mo Shangxing agreed as he nodded and held onto Jiang Yi with one hand as his other sent out palm-sized energy waves, targeting the skeletal giants specifically. The Poison Spirit and the others took on the job of blasting backward the incoming zombies and three-headed monsters. The entire group was like a sharp sword cleaving its way through the Netherworld Realm army.
Bang, bang, bang!
Xiao Long and his five thousand Earth Emanations Army soldiers followed behind closely. Few Heaven Emanations were present among the five thousand; there were only twenty-odd of them. The rest were all Earth Emanations. As his troops swept forward, they split up into teams of five as they combined their attacks. They realized that these Netherworld Envoys were exceptionally easy to kill and were not as strong as they had imagined. Furthermore, these Netherworld Envoys did not have Netherworld Auras on them; the Earth Emanations Army did not need to be mindful of being assaulted by the auras as well.
“Ah…”
From all around them, devastating cries rang out. The Earth Emanations Army soldiers following Jiang Yi scanned the surroundings, and they became confused. The losses among the other human armies were rather significant; there were many dead and wounded. It seemed as if the Netherworld Envoys around them were much stronger?
“That’s not it! It’s Lord Jiang!”
Many people looked in front of them and finally understood. Jiang Yi’s Xiaozhuan characters had been the decisive factor in turning the tide in their favor. The Xiaozhuan characters had cleansed the Netherworld Aura from the Netherworld Envoys, making them extremely weak and much easier to kill.
“Kill—!”
These Earth Emanations Army soldiers accompanying Jiang Yi immediately became much more energetic. If a general was inept, his soldiers would not fight at their peak as well. However, with such a strong general leading them, the moral of these soldiers was lifted greatly. They became even more ferocious as they slaughtered the enemy.
“Increase speed!”
Jiang Yi heard the cries and screams from both sides as his face changed. He wasn’t worried about his men getting attacked; he was more concerned about them being assaulted by the Netherworld Aura and demonized. He did not want to see living humans instantly changing into creatures of the Netherworld Realm and then turning against and fighting their own human kin.
“Ha!”
Mo Shangxing shouted as his speed increased once again while the Poison Spirit and the others also started to give it their all. The group easily pierced through the entire Netherworld Envoy army’s formation and then made a turn and started to bisect the Netherworld Envoy army once again. The greater amount of Netherworld Aura that was cleansed, the weaker the Netherworld Envoys would be; and they would be able to kill more skeletal giants. This way, the human army could kill the enemy faster.
Like a hot knife cutting through butter!
Mo Shangxing and company were too formidable. They complemented Jiang Yi’s Xiaozhuan characters’ cleansing of the Netherworld Auras, and as group after group of Netherworld Realm beings were cleansed, Xiao Long and the others followed suit and easily killed these beings. Within five minutes, Jiang Yi and company had pierced through the enemy lines tens of times. The majority of the Netherworld Race army had been cleansed of their Netherworld Auras and needed a while before they could recover their Netherworld Auras. However, before they could do so, they were killed one and all.
Inevitably, some human race martial artists were demonized in the battle. However, as they had not been demonized too deeply, Jiang Yi’s Xiaozhuan characters easily cleansed their bodies of the Netherworld Aura just like the previous time at the Heaven Camel Mountain.
“Ah? Many thanks to the Great Minister of Public Works!”
One Demon-Killing Battle King from the Demon-Killing Pavilion had been demonized and had immediately regained his faculties when Jiang Yi’s Xiaozhuan characters went through his mind. This Demon-Killing Battle King looked about and was so happy and grateful that he instantly genuflected in thanks. For human race martial artists, they would rather die than be demonized and become beings of the Netherworld Realm, harming their own kin. This was something worse than death.
“Be careful!”
Jiang Yi looked at him, nodded, and asked Mo Shangxing to bring him along as they flew into the distance.
That Demon-Killing Battle King was still hovering in the same spot, slightly dazed. Suddenly, his eyes grew moist; this feeling of being rescued back from hell was extremely good. Many Demon-Killing Pavilion martial artists nearby also grew emotional; Jiang Yi’s Xiaozhuan characters were the natural bane to the Netherworld Realm.
They looked as Mo Shangxing brought Jiang Yi along and became a streak of lightning. Jiang Yi’s Xiaozhuan characters kept on flying about in the sky. They were just like small fireflies in the pitch-black night sky or like Mars ablaze. They were also like the first light of dawn, letting them see hope.
To them, Jiang Yi was like a legend. He had only ascended and entered the Demon-Killing Pavilion not long ago but had soared through the ranks like a rocket; the entire Earth Domain now knew his name. If he was given some time and he continued to grow, how far could he go?
It was unimaginable!
