As everyone went back to rest, Jiang Yi was led by Qian Wanguan to his arranged room. When they arrived outside of the room, he suddenly called Qian Wanguan. “Qian Wanguan, help stand guard outside for a moment!”
Qian Wanguan paused and seriously said, “Boss, are you going to refine the celestial stone? Don’t be in such a hurry! I may not be clear about the refining method of the celestial stone, but I have heard that a single celestial stone would take at least two weeks to refine.”
“Not that!”
Jiang Yi shook his head and didn’t explain much while giving his instructions, “Just help stand guard for a moment! Remember to not let anyone come near.”
“Okay then!” Qian Wanguan didn’t know what Jiang Yi was up to, but since Jiang Yi asked with such a serious tone, he naturally couldn’t reject it.
Jiang Yi closed the door and got excited. He opened the window to take a look and make sure there wasn’t anyone hiding. The Fire Spirit Pearl lit up in his hand, and a narrowly long sword box appeared in his hand.
“Fire Dragon Sword!”
His eyes were heating up while the Fire Spirit Pearl was flashing as well, looking like it was alive and was telling Jiang Yi that it wanted to go near the Fire Dragon Sword.
Gradually opening the sword box, Jiang Yi took a glance and was immediately astonished!
The Fire Dragon Sword was indeed defective. It had a dark indent at the hilt of the sword, which was lacking a piece of rock-like artifact. However, this indent seemed to be about the same size as the Fire Spirit Pearl.
“How is this possible? Isn’t the Fire Spirit Pearl a spatial divine artifact?”
Jiang Yi lifted the Fire Dragon Sword which made the Fire Spirit Pearl radiate even brighter. At this moment, the Fire Dragon Sword also swiftly glowed with a red light which turned into a dragon pattern that swam along the body of the sword while the tip of the sword was shaking slightly, giving off a soft chime. Jiang Yi felt as though the Fire Dragon Sword and the Fire Spirit Pearl… seemingly wanted to be together like two long-lost lovers.
“Since you want to be together so much, I shall let you fuse!”
Jiang Yi paused for a moment as he gradually held up the Fire Spirit Pearl and pressed it into the dark indent on the sword hilt of the Fire Dragon Sword. A mystical thing happened: the Fire Spirit Pearl and the Fire Dragon Sword released a deep red light in an instant and were actually fused together.
The Fire Spirit Pearl congealed perfectly like it was made to do so. Right now, Jiang Yi actually felt a trace of soul spirit connection with the Fire Dragon Sword!
“Refinement complete?”
Jiang Yi blinked his eyes. He had already refined the Fire Spirit Pearl, and when it fused with the Fire Dragon Sword, it helped refine the Fire Dragon Sword incidentally?
“Something isn’t right though!”
Jiang Yi suddenly thought of something. This Fire Spirit Pearl was a spatial divine artifact, but now that it was fused with the Fire Dragon Sword, was it… still a spatial divine artifact? Could it still provide immunity to flames and absorb them?
Jiang Yu quickly immersed his mind into the Fire Spirit Pearl; when he realized that he could still feel that spatial zone within the Fire Spirit Pearl, he was relieved.
“If the Fire Dragon Sword and the Fire Spirit Pearl are fused, then can this Fire Dragon Sword be kept in the Fire Spirit Pearl? I can’t be carrying a saint artifact and parading myself in the city, right?”
With a thought in his mind, Jiang Yi controlled the Fire Spirit Pearl to keep the Fire Dragon Sword. It resulted in having the Fire Dragon Sword vanish while the Fire Spirit Pearl remained suspended in mid-air, automatically disassembling the two artifacts.
“Arise!”
With a call, the Fire Dragon Sword appeared and even instantly fused with the Fire Spirit Pearl, which looked extremely strange.
“Defective saint artifact? Is it considered a true saint artifact now?”
Jiang Yi looked passionately at the Fire Dragon Sword and was liking it even more as he kept turning and checking it out. This Fire Dragon Sword felt as though it was made for him, and it felt abnormally comfortable when he wielded it like it was part of his body.
“Why is the fire dragon pattern on the Fire Dragon Sword and the Fire Spirit Pearl so similar to the fire dragon pattern that sealed my dantian? Could the owner of them be the one who sealed my dantian? That doesn’t make sense… this Fire Spirit Pearl has been in the Tomb of the Heaven Monarch for tens of thousands of years while the Heaven Monarch of Ten-Thousand Dragons was dead for the same length of years, too. How could he be the one who sealed my dantian? Seems like it is all a coincidence!”
Jiang Yi muttered to himself before sinking his mind into the Fire Dragon Sword, preparing to check it. Something shocking happened again!

When his mind entered the Fire Dragon Sword, his mind had a ‘boom’ sound as a thunderous explosion felt as though it was going to rip his mind apart before dozens of black wordings emerged.
“This… this…”
Using his internal vision to look at these familiar yet unfamiliar black wordings, Jiang Yi’s heart was shocked more than it felt painful.
The chanting for the third rank Nameless Divine Art had appeared!
These wordings were exactly the same style as the previous wordings, and it was connected to the second rank, which meant to say that this was the chanting for the third rank.
The problem was why did it appear when he entered the Fire Dragon Sword to explore?
Jiang Yi could clearly remember the chanting of the second rank appeared when he used the black essence force to refine the Fire Spirit Pearl. A strange phenomenon occurred back then when the Fire Spirit Pearl automatically absorbed the black essence force in his body.
If it happened once, it might be a coincidence.
The fire dragon pattern on the seal of his dantian was too similar to the fire dragon pattern on the Fire Spirit Pearl and the Fire Dragon Sword. The Fire Spirit Pearl automatically absorbed his black essence force and was easily refined by him. Right now, the Fire Spirit Pearl and the Fire Dragon Sword fused together automatically. When he tried to explore the Fire Dragon Sword, the third rank of the Nameless Divine Art appeared? This was no longer just a coincidence!
The only theoretical verdict was…
Jiang Yi, the Fire Spirit Pearl, and the Fire Dragon Sword already had some kind of connection!
Setting aside the Fire Dragon Sword, this Fire Spirit Pearl had been in the Tomb of the Heaven Monarch for tens of thousands of years; he was only 16 years old. How could they be related?
“Bang!”
When he thought about this, Jiang Yi’s hand trembled as he threw the Fire Dragon Sword on the floor. He felt that this Fire Dragon Sword was something heretic, and he could feel… a mysterious formless huge hand which was in control of his life!
This feeling made him extremely uncomfortable, frightened, and uneasy. Right now, he even had a thought of abandoning this Fire Dragon Sword and Fire Spirit Pearl; he didn’t want to use the Nameless Divine Art and the black essence force either.
But… could he abandon them?
Jiang Yi calmed down quickly. He had a lot of enemies while Zhangsun Wuji and Xia Tian both wanted him dead. Once Jiang Yiliu comes out from his house arrest, he would definitely find all means to kill him. Back at the palace, the Azure Dragon College’s no.1 prodigy and Young Clan Head of the Northern Mang Kingdom’s Zhan Clan, Dao Zhan, stared at Jiang Yi with eyes that had hidden killing intent. Furthermore, he had killed Heaven Mystics Kingdom’s prince, Yun He; hence, the people from the Heaven Mystic Kingdom wouldn’t let him off.
He had too many enemies, and he still wanted Jiang Bieli to go kneel in front of his mother’s tomb. Jiang Yunhai’s situation was still unknown while he was powerless, and he required more strength.
Without the Fire Spirit Pearl and the black essence force which couldn’t be utilized—if he was to abandon the Fire Dragon Sword, too, he would only be a martial artist at the second stage of the Purple Mansion Realm which would be simply crushed by his enemies!
Therefore… after muttering for a moment, he gritted his teeth and picked up the Fire Dragon Sword again. As the ache in his mind was slightly better, Jiang Yi memorized those wordings and left it aside first. He was in a confused state of mind and didn’t have the time to comprehend the chanting for the third rank of the Nameless Divine Art.
“Fire Dragon Sword. Are you an evil sword? Are you going to bring me into the evil dao?”
Jiang Yi stared at the Fire Dragon Sword and whispered to it before he channeled his mind to explore the sword again. This time, there weren’t any surprises; but there was a complex restriction array inside of the sword which made Jiang Yi dizzy just from ‘seeing’ it.
Spirit artifacts, heaven artifacts, and saint artifacts—all had restriction arrays in it. It was through these restriction arrays that allowed the martial artists to increase their attack power, releasing stronger mystical techniques.
The strength of the restriction array was determined by the artifact’s grade. The higher the grade of the artifact, the more complex and mystical the restriction array would be. Jiang Yi had never been involved with restriction arrays; hence, it was natural for him to feel the dizzy spell.
“Eh? This isn’t right…”
Jiang Yi sensed for a moment before he realized another problem. This saint artifact looked like it was truly defective?
At the bottom of the Fire Dragon Sword’s body was a very complete restriction array where lines of red light were circulating, releasing a terrifying aura.
On the top portion, there might be some simpler arrays; but it was obviously defective and looked dimmed. Jiang Yi once checked the restriction arrays on the Black Scale Sword, and it looked very complete inside.
