“Bang!”
On a nearby mountain peak of the Mt. Spirit Beast College, an enormous beast broke out from the ground, which frightened the college’s patrolling guards so much that their faces turned pale. They quickly drew the weapons, and many of them were about to fire the signal flare.
The news of the demonic beast insurrection had already traveled to the college. The college was situated just north of Mt. Thirty Thousand; they were naturally nervous about it, too. Their only response was to increase the patrolling teams by two folds.
“No! It is a spirit beast!”
“Everyone, don’t move; it’s Jiang Yi!”
The patrol team quickly responded; the one seated on the enormous beast was someone that left a deep impression in their minds.
When Jiang Yi saw the Mt. Spirit Beast College in the faraway mountain peak, he let out a long sigh and casually rubbed his fatigued face. He then turned to ask this group of people, “Is the Principal in the college?”
“Swish!”
Seeing a few of them nodding their heads, Jiang Yi steered Big Huang and headed straight for the college, leaving eyes of envy and admiration. They didn’t know what Jiang Yi’s spirit beast was called, but it was able to dig underground and was also a tier-three spirit beast. Only experts like the Vice Principals would be able to tame such a spirit beast.
“Hold it! Who goes there?! The college grounds are off-limits.”
At the gates of the southern courtyard, there was a group of guards that were standing guard with tensed-up expression when they saw an enormous spirit beast rushing towards them like an arrow. They all got alarmed as they yelled out.
“I am Jiang Yi! Give way!”
As the Zouwu Beast continued to sprint, Jiang Yi yelled out. He controlled his spirit beast and dashed in a straight line through the college gates and into the inner courtyard while everyone looked on with amazed eyes.
“Wow!”
Everyone in the college was very anxious, and most of them didn’t even have the heart to cultivate as they were gathered together in a discussion. When they sensed a formidable aura of the spirit beast rushed into the college, many cadets and mentors were alarmed; and all flocked out.
“Wow, this spirit beast is powerful! It is tier-three, right? What kind of spirit beast is this?”
“Jiang Yi! It is actually Jiang Yi! Our college’s no.1 and the Kingdom War’s no.1!”
“This is Jiang Yi? The criminal of treason, the one who assaulted the Divine Martial Kingdom army, and the one who caused an uproar in the Summer Rain City?
“Senior Jiang Yi, welcome back!”
“Wow… Senior Jiang Yi is back. He is so dashing. I can’t—let me faint for a moment…”
The entire Mt. Spirit Beast College was in an uproar. Jiang Yi’s matters were the most recent topic of the college. Many of the cadets were proud of Jiang Yi; of course, there were some who were ashamed because of Jiang Yi, too.
Jiang Yi was currently the prestige of the college, which surpassed all cadets and mentors. He might not be the most talented or strongest cadet in the past one-thousand-year history of the college, but he was definitely the most famous cadet!
“Boss is back? Where?”
In the western courtyard, a meatball rolled out and was having this ecstatic expression. He came out too late, and Jiang Yi had already dashed into the inner courtyard, vanishing from everyone’s vision.
“Withdraw!”
Jiang Yi rushed into the inner courtyard and immediately kept the Zouwu Beast. He was at a loss as he didn’t know which Zhuge Qingyun’s courtyard was.
“Swish!”
A few of the Vice Principals rushed over while Principal Qi yelled out from afar, “Jiang Yi, why are you back?”
Jiang Yi shouted immediately, “Vice Principal Qi, quickly bring me to see the Principal. I have an important matter to report.”
“Follow me!”
When Principal Qi saw how serious Jiang Yi looked, she didn’t even bother about him addressing her as the Vice Principal. She turned around and dashed towards a courtyard while a few other Vice Principals and Jiang Yi followed behind closely.
In just a short moment, they arrived outside of Zhuge Qingyun’s courtyard. Just as Principal Qi was about to inform him, the doors suddenly opened; and an aged voice echoed: “Jiang Yi and Principal Qi, come in. The rest of you will stand guard outside and do not allow anyone to come near.”
Principal Qi and Jiang Yi walked in with large strides. Jiang Yi immediately noticed a wrinkled Zhuge Qingyun seated on a wheelchair.

Just as he prepared to bow and give his greetings, Zhuge Qingyun gestured for him to stop. “Jiang Yi, did you come back from the Great Xia Kingdom? Didn’t you encounter the demonic beast army? How is the situation over there?”
“I did encounter them!”
Jiang Yi swallowed his saliva and quickly explained: “I do not know the exact situation, but I did see the Demon Emperor, and it is a human-form woman. There are over a dozen Demon Kings and at least tens of thousands of tier-three demonic beasts. I do not know exactly how many demonic beasts are there…”
“En?”
There was a flash of radiance in Zhuge Qingyun and Principal Qi’s eyes before Principal Qi immediately asked while feeling astonished. “Encountered? Then how did you come back alive? A human-form Demon Emperor? Principal, did that one in the depths of the mountains actually broke through?”
“En!”
Zhuge Qingyun nodded and let out a bitter laugh. “None of the mankind’s top ten martial experts broke through yet, but a demonic beast actually did. Ridiculous, lamentable, and sorrowful! Jiang Yi… tell me about the exact situation at that moment.”
“Alright!”
This was a matter regarding the life and death of humankind, and Jiang Yi didn’t dare to be careless, elaborating everything without hiding anything. He explained the encounter with the demonic beast army in its entirety, and the last statement that the Demon Empress passed without missing out a single word.
“Huh…”
Principal Qi felt shocked and appalled when she was listening as her expression kept changing. When Zhuge Qingyun finished listening to every single word, there was a chill that erupted from his eyes as he spoke with rage, “Who is it? Which deranged person is it? Actually kidnapping the daughter of the Demon Empress? Setting off a war between two races! What a vicious intention!”
“What?”
Principal Qi’s expression changed again as she exclaimed involuntarily, “Principal, do you mean that someone intentionally kidnapped the daughter of the Demon Empress and trigger the demonic beast insurrection? How can this be possible? Who would actually be that audacious? If that individual had been found out, that individual would be the public enemy of the human race!”
“Intentionally?”
Jiang Yi’s eyes flickered as he recalled when the Azure Dragon Empire granted him the position as Patrol Envoy. He was a little suspicious as he spoke, “Principal, do you think it is the member of the Azure Dragon Empire? If the continent fell into chaos, and a few of the kingdoms got eradicated, they would be the one to benefit the most.”
“It is possible!”
There was a flash of light in Principal Qi’s eyes as she snorted. “If it was truly done by the Empire, they would be digging their own grave!”
“It is still too early to set the verdict!”
Zhuge Qingyun waved his hand and gave his instructions: “Principal Qi, immediately go make an announcement about the statement from the Demon Empress. Appeal to the whole continent to find the Demon Empress’ daughter and rescue her once she is found. The demonic beast army would naturally retreat afterward.”
“Alright!”
This was a grave matter, and Principal Qi didn’t dare to have any delays as she immediately went out to make arrangements. Zhuge Qingyun muttered for a moment before he suddenly asked, “Jiang Yi, you are still hiding something, right? Otherwise, the Demon Empress wouldn’t just let you off like this.”
“Wise!”
Jiang Yi gasped and murmured to himself for a moment. He revealed everything about the incident between himself and the Three-Tailed Spirit Fox before he finally asked, “Principal, do you think that Three-Tailed Spirit Fox is possibly the Demon Empress’ daughter? Otherwise, why would she let me off?”
“Absolutely is!”
Zhuge Qingyun was absolutely certain when he responded loudly, “This Demon Empress’ original body must be the Five-Tailed Spirit Fox! The Three-Tailed Spirit Fox that you encountered must definitely be her daughter!”
“As expected!”
Jiang Yi was thinking how lucky he was that he didn’t tame or kill that Three-Tailed Spirit Fox; else, he might have been dead countless times.
“Jiang Yi!”
Zhuge Qingyun’s suddenly had this grave expression as he inquired seriously, “You mentioned that the Three-Tailed Spirit Fox released her Foxy Fragrance Charm Art on you?”
“Yes, what about it, Principal!” Jiang Yi asked with doubt.
“Alright!”
Zhuge Qingyun slammed on the wheelchair and yelled out, “You set off with a few Vice Principals immediately and head over to the Great Xia Kingdom. I have an elixir here that can enhance your sense of smell by a hundred folds. The Three-Tailed Spirit Fox has this subtle rare fragrance on its body, and if you have smelled the foxy fragrance that it released, you will be able to recognize it easily. You have to look for the little fox by the rare fragrance that is still lingering in the air and then rescue it. Otherwise, all the humans on the continent will be in extreme distress.”
“Alright!”
Jiang Yi immediately agreed without any hesitation. Three jade boxes appeared in his hands when the Fire Spirit Pearl flashed. He handed them over to Zhuge Qingyun and said, “Principal, I have gathered all the spirit herbs. I have to trouble you to request for Master Liao to help treat Xiaonu. I shall take my leave now!”
Zhuge Qingyun nodded and spoke with a dignified tone, “Stay safe and come back alive.”
