Chapter 875: Astral Wind

For the next two days, the Heaven Fate Ship had been cruising smoothly, but the directions were changing constantly. They would fly towards northeast—towards southeast sometimes. Sometimes, they would even turn back and fly in the direction of Sin Sea, making Song Zhong and others completely confused. For these two days, the Heaven Fate Ship didn’t encounter any bandits, which made Song Zhong and others very reassured while they were in admiration of Jiang Yi’s remarkable abilities.

Jiang Yi’s Divine Perception could scout a radius of ten million miles, and he could scout every single movement clearly. As soon as a bandit legion appeared, he would know immediately, allowing them to evade them effortlessly.

The Black Flame Legion did try to pursue, and they had been chasing for over one and a half days, but Jiang Yi had successfully got away from them. In this vast sea, the Black Flame Legion wouldn’t be able to find them even if they had clairvoyance.

During these two days, apart from scouting, Jiang Yi would be playing with Xiao Yu or inquiring Song Zhong about all the situation in the East Imperial Continent. He never had another meal with Tantai Shi; in fact, they didn’t even converse for more than five sentences. Tantai Shi was very tactful and didn’t reveal herself at all for today.

Jiang Yi wasn’t heartless, but he had too many things to do, and he must not be overly high-profile. If his identity was exposed, he would suffer the ruthless investigation and pursuit from several great clans. The Mirage Divine Ability might be incredible, but who could guarantee that the East Imperial Nine Thearchs Clans didn’t have any special ability. Who could guarantee that among the tens of thousands of special races in the continent didn’t have the ability to break the Mirage Divine Ability?

After gifting a rose, the hand would have a lingering fragrance!

It was indeed virtuous to help others, and it would make one very happy; but if one had gotten into a predicament because of it, it would be absolute idiocy. There were too many tragedies in the world, and Jiang Yi wasn’t a savior.

As the Heaven Fate Ship continued to travel, they were getting closer to the East Imperial Continent. Jiang Yi’s heart couldn’t stay calm as his most beloved woman and his mother should all be on this continent.

One day later, a black mass finally appeared ahead while everyone emerged from their cabins. Tantai Shi was wearing a black dress, and she had a black veil to avoid having her beauty creating more troubles.

Jiang Yi rubbed Xiao Yu’s head and entered the cabin to release his Divine Perception one last time and make sure that the surroundings were safe.

His Divine Perception scouted a boundless continent, and the seaside wasn’t a flat sandy beach and was a range of mountains with lush greenery instead. There were plenty of demonic beasts in the mountain, but they were all low-tiered. There were also faint restriction ripples, and they were obviously the bandit bases. Jiang Yi had used his Divine Perception to scout over a million miles but actually couldn’t find any city.

“How big is the East Imperial Continent exactly?”

Jiang Yi was silently amazed. The East Imperial Continent must have countless cities, but if he couldn’t even find a single city in a million miles, it meant that this continent was overly massive. Jiang Yi continued to extend his Divine Perception and finally found a small city which was over two million miles away.

“Wolf Fang City?”

Jiang Yi withdrew his Divine Perception, took out a map from his ring to take a closer look, and finally confirmed the region they were currently in. They were now in the central west of the Waterfront Region, and the north would be the Heaven State Region. Further north of the Heaven State Region would be the Buddha Light Region which was the Yi Clan’s territory. He had to travel across the Buddha Light Region to arrive at the Buddha Region in the east and finally make it to Buddha Thearch City.

“I shall go to Wolf Fang City before I leave with the teleportation array.”

Jiang Yi didn’t want to waste his time on traveling as this region was already as big as Gods Bestow Region. If he wanted to travel across a region, he would need at least five to six months even without encountering any danger. If he had to travel over a few regions, he would probably need a few years.

Jiang Yi walked out of the cabin and looked at Song Zhong. “We are almost reaching the shore. How are we going to travel? Are we going to fly or continue riding the Heaven Fate Ship?”

“Riding the Heaven Fate Ship?”

Song Zhong quickly shook his head and said, “There are one hundred times or one thousand times more bandits on the continent than on the sea. Even a medium-size clan wouldn’t dare to ride the Heaven Fate Ship like this as they would become too big a target. There must be countless bandits hidden in the mountain range ahead, and there might already be scouts hidden over at the shore now. Hence, if we can to arrive safely to the city, we have no choice but to fly with a low profile.”

“Alright!”

Jiang Yi nodded and extended his divine senses to check the mountain peaks at the shore. Soon enough, his eyes turned cold as he nodded and said, “As expected, there are scouts hidden over there. Keep the Heaven Fate Ship and fly then.”

Buzz!

Everyone was standing by while Song Zhong opened up the Heaven Fate Ship’s barrier. A ring in his hand flashed, and the Heaven Fate Ship vanished. His ring flashed again as two luxurious war chariots appeared. Song Zhong cupped his hands and spoke respectfully, “Young Madam, Young Lady, Young Master, please board the war chariot.”

Tantai Shi carried Xiao Yu and Xiao Tian into the war chariot while the maidservants followed in as well. Song Zhong then pointed at another war chariot and said, “My Lord, please board!”

Jiang Yi didn’t reserve himself and flashed into the war chariot. It was very spacious inside and could fit over ten individuals. However, Song Zhong and the others had over 50 men; hence, they were obviously not going to fit.

Song Zhong and the others didn’t have the intention to board the war chariots either as one individual went to sit on the shaft of the chariot and controlled the war chariot to advance. The rest of the people surrounded the two war chariots.

“Song Zhong, there are two scouts at the stone cliff on the left. Go kill them!”

Jiang Yi’s eyes flashed with cold light as he yelled out. Song Zhong turned into a stream of light and flew to the left and had quickly discovered the two hidden scouts. A golden bow appeared in his hand as he abruptly drew the bow fully with an iron arrow and shot it at a cave on the cliff.

Boom!

The small cave on the cliff was blasted open. The two Heaven Monarch scouts had just activated their divine shields but were ruptured immediately, and their bodies were turned into blood mist. Jiang Yi took a glance and nodded silently. This Song Zhong’s strength should be comparable to Yang Dong and was considered passable.

“Let’s go!”

Jiang Yi yelled out as the two war chariots flew across the sky. Song Zhong and the others surrounded the chariots and rushed into the lush mountain range. They didn’t dare to fly too high and was traversing in between the mountains. The speed was slower than the Heaven Fate Ship, but it was much safer like this as the Heaven Fate Ship’s 300-meter long body was too conspicuous.

“Change direction, fly to the right!”

“Change direction, fly to the left ahead!”

Jiang Yi would constantly give his orders along the way while Song Zhong and the others would immediately execute it without any hesitation. After flying for an entire day, Song Zhong and the others were bewildered and ecstatic… as they didn’t even encounter a single bandit legion today. Everyone was starting to suspect if this was the East Imperial Continent at all.

This place was definitely the East Imperial Continent. However, why didn’t they encounter any bandits after flying for the whole day? It could only be explained with Jiang Yi’s celestial eye, or perhaps because of his terrifying divine senses which would scout millions of miles away.

No matter what, being safe was a great thing. When it was getting dark, Song Zhong flew to the side of Jiang Yi’s war chariot and inquired, “My Lord, we have to find a place to spend the night. The wilderness during nighttime in the East Imperial Continent is rather dreadful as there will be astral winds.”

“Astral winds?”

This was the first time Jiang Yi had heard of this. He asked curiously, “What are astral winds? Can we just travel by flying lower and slower?”

“It is useless!”

Song Zhong forced a smile and explained, “Astral winds are silent, do not have presences, extremely fast, and ferocious attack power. Unless we are to travel on foot, but it would make our speed very slow. One might be able to vaguely detect the astral winds with divine senses, but it is still too dangerous. It is better for us to set up camp below to spend the night, and travel again tomorrow morning.”

“I see. Go find a place to set up camp then.”

Jiang Yi replied indifferently and felt very curious in his heart. Why would there be strange astral winds on the East Imperial Continent? How were these astral winds formed?
