The Ice Beast incident made a rather huge commotion. After all, there were so many Write-In Cadets, and they had to go hunt demonic beasts on a daily basis. Without any guarantee of their safety, who would dare to go and throw their life away?
Principal Zhuge was furious and ordered for a thorough investigation. But unexpectedly, all the nearby members of the patrol team, along with a team leader, committed suicide to escape punishment. There was no way to investigate even if Principal Zhuge wanted to. Principal Zhuge then gave out the orders to revoke the Captain status of Gu Shanhe and allowed a Vice Principal to take his role. He also announced that those cadets that lost their lives would all be honorably buried and compensated with a huge sum of money. It was only after all these could they suppress all the anxiety.
Jiang Yi woke up the next day. His body might not have many injuries, but he was still extremely frail. He was only awake for a few moments before he went back to a deep sleep.
After he was awakened again, it was already deep into the night. He half-consciously blinked his eyes and felt that his body had recovered quite a bit. But his stomach was rumbling with hunger. He sat up and looked around, only to realize that he was in an unfamiliar room. The room was luxurious and had no one else in it.
“I am not dead? Where is this? Who saved me?”
Jiang Yi was in a daze. He could only remember that the Ice Beast rushed towards Su Ruoxue before he went unconscious. There weren’t any experts nearby at that time—he should have been dead.
He thought for a moment and couldn’t understand anything. He ultimately couldn’t endure the hunger of his stomach; he wanted to stand up to look around for some food and ask around for any information. But he was too weak, and his body fell to the ground. His head even knocked onto a small round table and smashed the teacup that was on it.
“Oh my!”
A lady, who was dressed as a servant girl, outside the room got startled. She pushed open the room door and saw Jiang Yi who was struggling to stand up. She quickly asked, “Are you ok, Young Master?”
“Who are you? Where is this?” Jiang Yi asked.
The lady let out a giggle. “This is Principal Qi’s courtyard, and I am the servant girl for Principal Qi. Young Master, please take a seat. Principal Qi went out and will be back very soon.”
“Was Principal Qi the one who saved me?”
Jiang Yi’s mind was in a shock. He suddenly recalled about Su Ruoxue and Qian Fu’s group. He then asked nervously, “Did Mentor Su and Qian Fu’s group got rescued?”
The servant girl smiled and said, “It was Mentor Su who slew the Ice Beast. She is just in the next room, and she is doing well. As for the rest of the situation, you may ask her instead.”
“Okay!”
Jiang Yi was worried about Qian Fu and the rest. He struggled to get up and walked wobbly towards the next room.
When he walked into the room, Su Ruoxue was already awake. She was seated in a recliner and reading her book. Her black long hair wasn’t combed, and it was like a waterfall over her shoulders. Jiang Yi looked at her side view: that charming face was dazzling, causing him to fall over.
Su Ruoxue turned around to look and saw the infatuated look in Jiang Yi’s eyes staring at her. She suddenly recalled the moment when Jiang Yi fell on her body back at the mountain. Her face was instantly flushed red, and she looked at the servant girl with blameful eyes. “Aiya, Xue’er, why didn’t you tell me someone came in?”
When Jiang Yi came back to his senses, he frantically asked, “Mentor Su, how are Qian Fu and the rest?”
Su Ruoxue sorted out her robes and reached out her hand to casually comb her messy hair. She then replied, “They are fine. You don’t have to worry. They are not dead yet and are in recuperation.”
“Oh, that is great.”
Jiang Yi was finally able to be completely relieved. If they were all dead, he didn’t know how he could explain to Qian Wanguan. He felt frail and didn’t restrain himself before sitting at the bedside table. He then turned his head and awkwardly asked the servant girl, “Sister, would you please get something for me to eat? I am famished.”
“Alright. Wait a moment.” When she was addressed as a sister by Jiang Yi, she burst out with joy and immediately headed outside.
After the servant girl left, Jiang Yi unconsciously turned to look at Su Ruoxue in the eye. When both their eyes met, they suddenly realized that the two of them were alone in the same room. And Su Ruoxue was wearing her sleeping gown?

“Huh…”
Su Ruoxue immediate diverted her gaze and had red clouds appearing on her face. She wanted to say something but didn’t do so; she couldn’t just chase Jiang Yi out, right? He was so weak now and might just collapse along the way.
Jiang Yi didn’t know what to say at this moment, and the atmosphere within this room had become very awkward and very alluring.
Eh. What was I going to say?
Jiang Yi paused before casually speaking, “Mentor Su, I will leave once I finish eating. That’s right… thank you for saving me. If you have any mishap in the future, I, Jiang Yi, will not have a word of complaint—even if I have to climb the mountains of daggers or go through the sea of flames.”
After Jiang Yi spoke like this, Su Ruoxue wasn’t as awkward anymore. She blinked her crystal-like eyes and asked, “Jiang Yi, do you not remember what happened then?”
“En!”
Jiang Yi nodded like a muddle-head and replied, “I saw that demonic beast rushing towards you. I fainted from the overwhelming agitation and forgot what happened later on. What happened, Mentor Su?”
When Su Ruoxue heard the footsteps of the servant girl, she didn’t say much and lowered her voice, “After you finish eating and resting, go back to the West Courtyard. Until my injuries are fully recovered, you all need not to go out to hunt any demonic beasts. Especially you! Do not exit the college! There are some things that I have to tell you later on.”
“Oh!”
Jiang Yi was rather confused, but he didn’t dare ask any further. He quickly gobbled down the huge bowl of meat porridge that was served by the servant girl. With the bowl of porridge down his stomach, he licked his lips and looked anxiously at the servant girl, “Sister, could I have more?”
The servant girl was shocked by Jiang Yi’s table manners and promptly nodded. “There is more. Let me go bring it here.”
“Pfff! That’s enough for now!”
Su Ruoxue laughed and said, “Jiang Yi, you depleted your essence force, and it wouldn’t be good for your body to eat too much. Rest for now and then head back to the West Courtyard.”
Jiang Yi nodded and grinned at Su Ruoxue. He stretched his body and realized that he had recovered slightly. He bade Su Ruoxue goodbye and headed out with the servant girl.
After exiting Principal Qi’s loft, Jiang Yi walked all the way towards the West Courtyard. It took him around one hour before he finally reached his own living quarters. Once he entered the courtyard, a ball-shaped body came running out and shouted from afar, “Boss! Are you ok? You nearly scared me to death!”
Jiang Yi smiled bitterly and shook his head. He asked while blaming himself, “How are Qian Fu and the rest? Sigh… I was the one who implicated them.”
“It’s fine, they won’t die. But one of Qian Jun’s legs is broken.”
Qian Wanguan’s expression turned cold as he lowered his voice. “Boss. This was done by Jiang Yiliu. Gu Shanhe is a lackey of the Jiang Clan. Others might not know of this, but I am certain about it.”
“He is the one?”
Jiang Yi’s eyes had a flash of murderous intent. All of them nearly died in this incident. This Jiang Yiliu might seem to be a modest nobleman, but he didn’t expect him to be as narrow-minded as Jiang Qilin. But it was obvious that Jiang Yiliu was much superior. Even if someone guessed that he was the mastermind, there was no evidence at all; and no one would believe it even if rumors spread.
“Give me a year’s time. I will reclaim Qian Jun’s blood debt for him!”
Jiang Yi had this cold intent on his face. He could have disregarded it if Jiang Yiliu tried to assassinate him. But Qian Fu and the group got injured—Qian Jun left with a broken leg. It even caused the casualty of more than ten cadets. He could not allow this blood debt to be settled like this. He needed just one year. He was confident his strength would then exceed Jiang Yiliu, and it would be the best timing for him to claim this blood debt.
After walking from the North to the West Courtyard, Jiang Yi felt rather fatigued. He casually spoke to Qian Wanguan for a while before preparing to go rest in his room. Just as he entered the room, he heard the shouting of Qian Wanguan, “Boss, a beauty is looking for you.”
Jiang Yi looked out and saw a bright-yellow figure. Ji Tingyu was standing in the courtyard, smiling at him. That beautiful and flirtatious young lady was just like a blooming peony and was blindingly dazzling.
