On the ice plain, a person was traveling alone. It was very dark tonight, and there weren’t more than 300 meters of visibility. It was very dangerous during the night in the snow region as the astral winds were very concentrated. Nearly no one would travel during the night apart from the Heaven Devil Race.
The person traveling had the exact same appearance of a Heaven Devil Race. He was wearing black battle armor, had tanned skin color, and had arms that weren’t like normal human arms as they were a pair of dragon claws. His back was a little crooked, and his steps were heavy. His eyes were despondent as though he was a wild ghost that had a lonely soul.
Hoo-Hoo!
After traveling for two hours, Jiang Yi let out a long breath; and his eyes regained a little clarity but still looked lonely. He had traveled far and wide to reach the snow region and painstakingly found the Heaven Hidden Sect’s location. He was nearly killed, but he never expected to obtain such a result.
To banish the Dwarf Race and to enter the Mystic Divine Palace to obtain the Heaven Hidden Sect’s sacred treasure.
These two tasks were like giant mountains which put so much pressure that Jiang Yi couldn’t breathe. These two tasks were harder than ascending to heaven. For the first task, he had to break through to the Demigod realm or obtain more power of stars. Otherwise, it was impossible to kill the Dwarf Race’s Half God. The second task was even more challenging. He didn’t even know if he could enter the Mystic Divine Palace, let alone finding the Heaven Hidden Sect’s sacred treasure.
He stopped and looked at the dark sky—at the dark clouds that were pressing down from above, giving him a suffocating sensation. He narrowed his eyes and stared blankly at the sky, and—somehow—felt a giant hand above the dark clouds. It felt as though the giant hand was controlling everything in the dark and grasping his destiny.
This feeling made him feel uncomfortable and made him have a deep feeling of setback. No matter how hard he worked or how powerful he became, a giant mountain would always be in front of him that he would never be able to overcome. His destiny would never be in his control.
He was destined to advance with a crooked back until… death!
He was currently on a small mountain and didn’t want to move. He simply sat there and didn’t think about anything or wanted to go anywhere. He simply sat and was lost in his thoughts. He didn’t know where he was supposed to go. He felt like a lost child that had lost his directions.
He sat for an entire night, and a trace of dawn appeared in the eastern sky which illuminated Jiang Yi’s face which still had traces of blood. He had finally regained a trace of essence force before he stood up and let out a long breath. He took out two recuperation elixirs and consumed it before searching for a concealed place. He dug an underground cave that was hundreds of meters into the ground.
It didn’t matter what he had to do or if he had any good ideas; he had to recuperate first. His heart had been strengthened at the Golden Crow Mystic Realm, and he had experienced too many things during these past few years. He told himself that he must not fall.
He forced himself to stop overthinking and to think of how to recuperate and rest. His mind was blank, and he was circulating the Nameless Divine Art rapidly to recuperate. His body constitution reformed by the Destitute Dragon Grass had automatically started the recuperation. Had it been anyone else, they would need at least ten days to half a month of recuperation before having the ability to even walk. However, he had only recuperated for one day and was already able to walk. His remarkable recuperation ability could be clearly seen.
Shh-shh-shh!
Two days later, Jiang Yi was alerted by some light tremors from the distance. He immediately opened his eyes which shone with cold light. Resting for two days had put his stamina and energy to the prime, and he no longer had a dispirited expression.
His ears moved slightly as the sound was getting louder, and his face was getting more solemn. It wasn’t just a single person sprinting over—it was a hundred individuals. Those people were traveling underground and should be members of the Heaven Devil Race. They had frenetic and noisy footsteps, and they were obviously fleeing. Jiang Yi didn’t want to get implicated.
Astral winds flew out silently from his body as he prepared to run. His divine senses swept over there, and he quickly stopped and revealed some hesitation.
Those hundred individuals were indeed Heaven Devil Race’s members. Even Mo Tian, who was Mo Xing’s—Jiang Yi’s current identity—elder cousin brother, was inside that group. There was another individual who had surprised Jiang Yi. Mo Yao’er was actually inside the group as well. These one hundred individuals had panicking expressions, and they were obviously being pursued by a large army.
Boom! Boom! Boom!

As expected, hammering sounds echoed from the surface of the ground. Jiang Yi had spotted numerous dwarfs rushing over from the left and right directions. The sounds of hammering could be heard from everywhere.
This was a mystical ability. The dwarfs were hammering the ground, but the surface of the ground wasn’t splitting open. Instead, there were invisible ripples that instantly reduced the speed of the people fleeing underground. Furthermore, their innards were jolted; and if they were enveloped in the ripples for a long period of time, they might suffer light injuries or might even be jolted to death in serious cases.
Goddammit!
Jiang Yi noticed that he had been enveloped by the ripples and silently cursed. Earlier on when he hesitated, he had lost the best chance to escape. If this carried on, his injuries which had just recovered would be aggravated; and his inner organs would bleed again.
The Dwarf Race’s ability was too overbearing, and the ripples would radiate three kilometers into the ground. The soil got firmer the further down it went, and so even the Heaven Devil Race could only dig a few thousand feet underground. Jiang Yi’s astral winds were a little more formidable, and he reckoned he could go over three kilometers into the ground. Right now, there were plenty of divine senses that had locked onto him. How would he dare to release the astral winds?
“Fight with them to death!”
“That’s right… we can escape anymore, let’s fight them.”
“Sacred Lady, we will hold them back. You should hurry up and escape.”
Bursts of yells echoed from the distance, and Jiang Yi could subtly hear a few of them, causing him to sneer. He had already examined the surface, and there were up to 5000 dwarfs. Mo Yao’er wouldn’t be able to escape even if she wanted to. Her combat strength might be tyrannical and even possessed a powerful ancient artifact, but she would be able to face an attack from all sides executed by a group of Four- and Five-Star experts.
“This idiot Sacred Lady, why did she even dare to venture out with such little people? Didn’t her father say that he wouldn’t bother even his daughter died on the outside? With such a great opportunity, the Dwarf Race will surely kill her to take revenge on the Heaven Devil Race.”
Jiang Yi silently sighed with sorrow. On the other side, Mo Yao’er’s whip had already appeared; and her arms flashed with black light and actually turned into two snow-white dragon claws. She rushed towards the surface and yelled delicately, “The Heaven Devil Race will only battle to the death and not abandon their people. Everyone is to obey my orders and kill our way out. I have already sent a message to the sect, and our reinforcement will arrive soon. As long as we can kill a path of blood out, we will be rescued!”
“Kill—”
Mo Tian and others were fired up by Mo Yao’er’s speech, and their eyes were glowing with black light as they rapidly shot up. Mo Yao’er’s divine senses swept at Jiang Yi and sent an order. “Mo Xing? Follow me and charge our way out!”
“Charge your head!”
Jiang Yi silently cursed. There were so many dwarfs above, and there were obviously plenty of Four- and Five-Star experts, too. If the Dwarf Race had grasped such a good opportunity, why would they waste it? There were probably more dwarfs that were making their way here. With just Mo Yao’er and her group, it was impossible to charge out of the entrapment. They might last longer underground, and if the Heaven Devil Race really sent reinforcements, it would be best to guard themselves underground.
“It doesn’t matter what kind of method you use. As long as you can drive the Dwarf Race out from the sacred mountain, you will be qualified to meet with our Matriarch.”
Jiang Yi originally didn’t want to get involved in this, but when he recalled Fifth Eldress’ words, his heart moved for some reason. If he was able to make the two races’ conflicts into a deep grudge like a sea of blood, he might be able to make use of the Heaven Devil Race’s strength to eradicate the Dwarf Race?
“Kill—”
He quickly had an idea which was to kill the thousands of dwarfs and the group of Four- and Five-Star experts altogether. It would certainly cause the blood feud between the two races to be so deep that it would never be resolved.
