His next and last sighting would be at Salt Shore. There, he was seen the most. Salt Shore’s shore was often infested with slavers from the east and pirates. The Dornish fleet tried to stop them of course, but slavers always found a way to sail past them. In Salt Shore, he was seen with companions, ten cloaked men were always following him one way or another, be it walking besides him, or walking in the shadows.

In Salt Shore, the prince helped the locals on defending against slavers. He used a strange ball-like device that explodes when it is ignited and the prince used them to destroy the slaver’s ship. People say that the prince and his Cloaked men slaughtered the men who often provided the slavers intel in exchange for money. Those men’s remains were found burned to crisps in their houses. In the night, there was no scream, there was no sound, yet the body was found burned to crisps, it’s either that the prince and his men killed them before burning them, or they were good at concealing the screams of agony. The prince and his cloaked men quickly made a name for themselves for killing efficiently and silently, yet no one gave the prince a nickname like his brother, they simply called them ‘The Prince and his Cloaked Men’, it was strange, as smallfolk tends to like nicknaming their lords, but the prince would earn his first moniker soon enough. Lord Gargalen has an interesting entry about the prince in his journal.

[Lord Gargalen’s writing]

When Prince Morian Martell was sighted in Salt Shore, I was prepared for strange requests and tasks, but it never came. Instead, the prince itself along with his cloaked companions ask to meet me, claiming that they are offering help. I was doubtful he could give help, but because he was a Martell, I met with him anyway. It was one of the best decisions in my life.

He came offering his help against the slavers that have been terrorising our shores, gods, those slavers, even the whirlpools couldn’t stop them. I agreed, although I was sceptical at first. He first then asked if he could use one of our ships, I told him to follow the patrol that will go that day, and he quickly went to the port much to my surprise.

The result was frightening. After a week of patrolling, the ship came back, and there was no damage whatsoever. Usually some guards will die, but this time, no one died. When I asked the captain what happened, he was unusually happy. He said that the boy that I’ve been told to follow the patrols was a miracle. He, alongside his companions, used strange ball-like devices to fight against the slavers, the ball would explode when he pulled a string and threw it to the slavers ship. He said that around 10 slavers ship have been either captured or destroyed.

At first, I didn’t believe it, but when I saw the captured ships and the damage in it, I got curious. I asked the prince what he did to get such an efficient result. His answer? “Just some powder my lord.”

I often think about what that means, but when the war happened, I finally knew how the prince had done it. After that, I offered him lodgings along with his companions, but he refused, saying that they still have work to do.

He wasn’t lying when he said he still had work to do. Throughout the next week, dozens of men have been burned alive in their houses, we searched on who killed them, but eventually, the prince himself said that he had done it. He said that the ones who he killed were the people who told the slavers the passage of the salt shore in exchange for money. Utter humiliation, an open insubordination, in front of prince Morian no doubt. Dornishmen who betray their own kin, the prince is right to burn them alive.

One day, the prince politely said that he would be leaving as his job was finished. I quickly think of a way to repay the debt, and settled for a black hawk that I bought in Braavos, the hawk has black feathers and clear blue eyes, just like the prince, but the hawk was rowdy, and I doubted to give him a rowdy bird, but I didn’t have anything left, so I gave it to him.

When the hawk saw the prince, he suddenly got tame, he didn’t try to escape from his cage anymore, and he stared at the prince as if he knew that his owner was in front of him. Eventually, the prince released the hawk, and yet he just swooped to the prince’s shoulder.

If I knew that I would give him the reason for his infamous nickname back then, I don’t even know how I would react.

After that, there was no more sighting, but there are speculations that the Prince was in Yronwood, as some of the bandit camps there were found in shambles, as if the gods themselves sent thunder and lighting to the camps, the grounds were charred, mangled body parts everywhere, but other than that, there was no proof that the prince was there. But one thing’s for sure, the prince went back to Sunspear with a huge collection of scars and wounds.

Entry(Note that most of the things in the Entry are speculations):

Known for their absolute secrecy, efficiency, brutality, and loyalty to Prince Morian Martell, the Cloaked Men were first sighted when Prince Morian was in Salt Shore, dealing with slavers that have been plaguing the coast. In their early days, they were just the Prince’s companions when he was travelling around Dorne, but overtime, they were the backbone of Dorne’s spy network and subterfuge. They were efficient at killing, nothing is known other than their codenames, speculations and theories have emerged, people often claimed that they’ve seen their faces, but people know that once you saw their faces, it was your time to meet with the stranger.

When they acted, they often used brutality depending on their targets ‘sins’, if you are deemed sinful by the Dornish, your death won’t be easy. One of the common traits of the Cloaked Men is that all of them had hidden blades that were crafted by Prince Morian. The blade was sharp, it can be used as a dagger if expanded, and the blades can sprung from their wrists, making it a small crossbow.

Their achievements are many, but most of them are speculations, as we don’t really know what they did specifically, there were no historical records about their duties, if there were, it has probably been burned to ashes.
