Chapter 24: Chapter 24: “New owner of Dawn”

(Lancel POV)

Stepping out into the gardens, I found Oberyn training with his eldest daughters, Obara, Nymeria, and Tyene, as well as the Princess and Prince.

Oberyn "It's been a long time since we last trained" he tells me "You guys keep training" he tells them, leaving the others behind. Princess Rhaenys returns to training angry that she can't greet me when Oberyn told them to keep training

Lancel "Master I came to ask you, what size would you like Valyrian steel spear ?" I tell him remembering what I got in Valyria

Oberyn "Do you have any?" he asks me puzzled

Lancel "Just answer Master" I tell him

Oberyn "Any size above my height, and if it's Valyrian steel it doesn't matter because I won't feel the weight" he tells me with a dreamy face

Lancel "System, can you give me the appropriate measurements for my companions' weapons to fight the Others?" I ask the system

System "Measurements are ready" says the voice

Lancel 'I'm running out of options for comrades-in-arms against the Others'

Since I asked Oberyn to train the Princess and the Prince, they will be part of my companions in the fight, then I pay attention to Oberyn's three daughters, and I think that they must also be part of the group that will fight together with me

Lancel "Master stop the training and tell them to come" I say to Oberyn

Oberyn "Everyone stop, come for a moment" he tells them while looking at me as if to say; What you want to do?

Lancel "In a moment you will know Master" I tell him

The Princess approaches and takes my right arm "Hello" she says with a smile

Lancel "We'll play later" I tell her seeing her sad smile for my words

Lancel "I want us to form a battle group, later I will take you to a place with me so that you can see what we will fight against" I tell them

Oberyn "Are you serious?" he asks me

Lancel "I have never spoken as seriously as today" I reply knowing the dangers that lie ahead

Rhaenys "Yes, I will do" says without waiting for the others to make a decision

Lancel "Well, who else?" I tell them

Aegon "They told me that you and my uncle saved us in King's Landing, so we are in debt with you, that's why I accept" he tells me, I look at him surprised with the maturity that people develop in this fantasy world

Oberyn "Okay, I'm included in the group" Oberyn says to his daughters

Obara, Nymeria and Tyene "Okay, we accept" they say all three in unison

Lancel "Thank you everyone" I say to everyone present

Lancel "Master, train them the best you can, because it will be difficult for them to win each fight with who we will fight" I say, taking Rhaenys's hand

Lancel "We only played 5 rounds, then I have to go back to my house in Starfall" I say taking her to the garden table

The others came to watch our game, obviously I lost all 5 rounds of chess, this time in 16 moves. Looking around me I look at them with sad smiles, and I think that they must have played against the Princess

After the game I go to my room and ask the system to transport me to my sister's location in Starfall.

Upon arrival I felt a gust of wind against my face, at the moment I take a step back but I feel a pain in my head and I pass out

Waking up, I see Ser Arthur staring at me.

Ser Arthur "You finally wake up, how did you get here all of a sudden?" he asks me looking into my eyes

Lancel "There are times when asking can cause him to be more confused and not understand, that's why I'm not going to answer" I told him getting up from the bed

Lisa "Master don't be mad at him, he said he will always appear by my side wherever I am, so it must be some magic he learned" she says to Ser Arthur, he sighs

Ser Arthur "It's better not to know" he says shaking his head

Then Lisa tells me how I passed out, it turns out that I was training the second level against Ser Arthur, and when I dodged Lisa's sword, I found myself squarely with a slash of Ser Arthur's wooden sword

System "The Host receives a mandatory mission with only one option: Defeat Ser Arthur. For the failure of the mission the Host has to kill three Specters before the age of 20 or he will die" says the voice

Lancel 'What the fuck is going on? Does the system want me dead?'

Lancel "Master, let's fight one more time, but this time I'm going to defeat you, so get ready" I say with cold sweat running down my back

Ser Arthur "We'll see" he tells me going to the garden where we train

Lisa "Are you okay?" she asks me worried

Lancel "I should be" I tell her with a sigh.

(third person POV)

In the garden are Ser Arthur and Lancel ready to start the fight, both have armor on them and with a dull iron sword in their hands both

At the sound of clanging swords as they meet sword against sword with a slash, the match begins.

Lancel sends a slash to Ser Arthur's abdomen, Ser Arthur blocks the slash and takes a step back, then moves forward with a thrust to Lancel's chest. Lancel spins the sword and successfully blocks by taking the sword by the edge, then steps diagonally to his right releasing the edged sword, using his right hand he cuts Ser Arthur's neck.

Ser Arthur leans his body back in a dodge, then leans forward and slashes at Lancel's right arm. Lancel drops his sword and raises his right hand, dodging the slash and stabbing at Ser Arthur's waist with his sword held in his left hand.

Ser Arthur is unable to avoid this precise attack, so he has no choice but to admit defeat. Lancel thinks it wasn´t an honorable victory, because he had to activate the fighting instinct, and win like Arya did in the Series.

Ser Arthur "You won" he tells him by going for the Sword of the Morning, Dawn, then he approaches and continues "I name you Ser Lancel Dayne, Sword of Dawn, new owner of Dawn" he tells him putting the sword on his shoulder, then he offers him the sword and sheath

Lancel "It's my honor" he said taking the sword as something sacred. Then he stands up and takes the sheath on his shoulders keeping the sword of Dawn 

Lancel "Master, I'll get you a sword made of Valyrian steel" he said leaving the training grounds

System "As the Host managed to accomplish the mission, from now on he will be able to put his opponent in an illusion by placing his palm on his forehead" the voice tells me

Lancel 'Since I couldn't get the sharinggan, this power is convenient, it was the same one I used against Amory and Gregor, but now I can use it without them losing consciousness'

(Robert's POV)

Being at work I see Lancel arrive

Robert "I see you have a good sword there" I tell him remembering that year after year I made him a sword to suit him

Lancel "It's amazing, this sword is Dawn, the sword of Dawn" he tells me with a cheerful smile

Robert "You are the first to carry this sword at 8 years old" I say surprised

Lancel "Here I bring you a manual on how to cast Valyrian steel" he tells me taking out a manual, at the moment I feel my eyes shine

Robert "Pass it fast to me the manual" I say snatching the manual and reading it

Lancel "Here I'll give you Valyrian steel so you can make 9 blades" he tells me passing me Valyrian steel that I don't know where I get it

Robert "Okay" I tell him taking the things and taking him out of my work area

Lancel "What's the rush?" he asks me

Robert "You wouldn't understand, tell your mother that I won't go home today" I say closing the door

An hour later I hear a knock on the door, which makes me angry and I go out saying who dares to bother me until I see that it is Mary, suddenly being cold sweat running down my back

Angry Mary grabs me by the ear and guides me home
