Little Lu ran through the forest without an inkling of feeling fear of the unknown. He was a free spirit, everything he looks at, he looked at with curiosity and mischief. He plucked every beautiful thing he can lay his hands on. He pet some small critters he met along the way and he ate anything and drank anything the wisps told him to. He was naive, no, he was innocent.

"Are we there yet? I found a really shiny rock that I want to give to Big Sister Mary. I also found a new beetle that I'm sure Leah would like, but I won't give it to her hehehe. Big Brother Gin likes to eat fruits so I wonder if I should give him the smelly one or the tasty one. Hmmm…  I know! I'll give him the smelly one first then if he gets mad I'll give him the tasty one Hahaha."

The little boy never stayed quiet for the duration he's been in the forest. Yet despite that, no Animal or Beast attacked him. Probably because his very being seems to be able to make them submissive but that was only for weaker creatures. It was mostly all thanks to the Wisps, they were the reason tje noisy little boy could run freely in such a dangerous place. They did their best to follow a safe path Little Lu could take and they also showered him with some Wisp Pollen. It's a harmless particle that they release, it's their main protective skill which allows them to safely venture to dangerous places to seek newly born Spirits. The Wisp Pollen masked Little Lu's scent and made him appear to be part of Nature. The Wisps were after all a being of mana so the particles they released had some characteristics of it and also everything in this world have in some form or another connection to Mana.

"GRAAARG!!!"

Suddenly Little Lu came to a stop when a Beast's roar echoed in the surrounding. The Wisps flew all about, panicking. The animals and weaker beasts also cower in fear as they desperately find a safe place to hide.

"What was that?" Little Lu's eyes sparkled.

'I think it's coming from there' he thought before running towards the origin of the ear splitting roar. He got distracted easily and forgot about Mary and the others. Unbeknownst to him, he was actually heading straight towards Leah and the others. The Wisps took the long route so they could avoid higher Grade Beasts but that loud roar unintentionally scared those Beasts away. So even when they saw Little Lu running they didn't dare go out of their hiding place.

The Wisps tried their best to stop him but they couldn't. They flew in front of him only to be swept along as the little boy ran.

"Dangerous? Don't worry I'm just going to take a look." Said Little Lu as he kept running, not taking the Wisps panicked advice to heart.

After a while Little Lu saw the silhouette of a huge Beast with bat-like wings "Woaaah". He slowly sneaked towards it. With the Wisp Pollen's help he was able to sneak quite close to it. He saw a bush nearby and decided to hide over there. He peeked through the bush and saw it walking slowly. It unfolded its wings and the powerful breeze it created blew some debris towards his direction. He quickly ducked down and grabbed the Wisps near him to prevent them from being blown away. Some Wips were unfortunately too far from him and was blasted away somewhere far.

"MARY!!!"

!!!! He suddenly heard Gins' voice! He froze at the thought of them finding him before he could surprise them.

"GIN!!!"

He then heard Mary's voice which surprised him even more. "Oh man. I wanted to surprise them." He said dejectedly.

'I guess I should stop hiding. But I don't want to get scolded by Big Sis. Hmm.. Should I run back?' thought Little Lu as he completely forgot about the huge Beast in front of him. After much deliberation, Little Lu slowly walked out of his hiding spot.

"I'm sorry Big Si-"

But before he could finish his statement though, a blinding light engulfed him which caused him to involuntarily close his eyes.

-----

Northern Part, outside the Village.

A man with milky angel wings on his back was flying aimlessly trying to find something. It was Chris. He casted a spell which granted him wings to move swiftly through the big trees in the forest. He already surveyed the Northern part, any more and he would reach the snowy peak of the mountain. 'They couldn't have gotten this far' he thought rationally as he headed towards a different direction. 'Lu where are you?'

-----

Eastern part

A whole section of the forest was on fire and above it, a woman with crimson hair and pitch black eyes scanned the surrounding. She had scales on some part of her body and face and huge Dragon-like wings on her back. Two black horns were also on her head. Suddenly a Dragon's roar echoed throughout. "DAMN BEAST! WHERE ARE YOU?! IF A SINGLE HAIR ON LU'S HEAD IS MISSING! I WILL HUNT YOUR WHOLE SPECIES INTO EXTINCTION!!!"

Unlike Chris and Lionell, Calir was… a bit violent in finding the children.

The Smog Mountain is a mysterious place. Chris and Calir could have easily casted a detection spell which could detect Little Lu from miles away yet they couldn't. That's because of the unique fog surrounding the mountain. A highly toxic barrier outside while a healthy rich Mana induced air was inside. Just simply breathing this air could enable a small animal to become a mighty Beast in a few decades. And now that the Mana concentration has skyrocketed, this place just became a paradise for Mages and Beasts alike. This rich Mana induced air was good and all but it also had a con, it could interfere with detection spells since they wouldn't be able to pinpoint anything with all the Mana clouding their senses since most detection spells usually used all the caster senses to feel everything in the surrounding. There was an exception though. An inborn ability like a highly strong sense of smell, hearing etc. even thermal detection. These are physical abilities that don't use any spells or Mana to use which are exclusive mostly to Beasts and Bloodline Mages.

-----

In the Western part outside the Village.

A black blur could be seen swiftly moving from branch to branch on top of the huge trees. It was Lionell. His physical power enabled him to move swiftly and fast through the forest's canopy.

'Please let me make it in time!!!' Linonell prayed as he gritted his teeth in frustration. He touched the area where the engraved mark is. 'Fucking Seal! If I could just release my Primal Instinct, then I would be able to find Leah faster!'

He was already on their tail. At first he was heading towards the South because that's where the well was located, Leah and Leo always used to go there to fetch some water so their scent was quite strong at that location. But when he got there a strong breeze blew towards his direction. His nose twitched and he bolted towards the origin of the scent without a second thought.

-----

While Chris and the others were looking for the children, in the Village a commotion was happening.

"HOLD HIM DOWN!" shouted by a middle aged man in a farmer's get up.

BOOOM! A wooden house was smashed to smithereens.

A few minutes earlier, Brian was just casually strolling with Barak when he suddenly saw Auntie Jane frantically run towards him from the Village Chief's house. "Brian! Help me gather everyone in the Village square! It's important! Hurry!" Aunty Jane immediately pleaded before running off to inform everyone else.

Brian didn't dare to think anymore! He got onto Barak and ran around the Village and informed everyone he saw.

After a few moments later everyone gathered in the village square except for some elders, wondering why the sudden summoning. All they heard was that the children were in danger. The village only has a population of 30 heads and there were only 7 little kids running around so they were pretty much aware who those children Aunty Jane was referring to. The Villagers looked like your normal run of the mill villagers but if an expert were to see them then they would be undoubtedly shocked to their core since everyone here isn't what they seem to be.

Aunty Jane got up onto a small platform and told everyone about the recent events. After hearing what Jane said, the Villagers erupted into uproar. They only had one thought. "Let's spread out and find them immediately!"

The Villagers split up and went in all directions and some stayed in case they needed to defend the Village but that doesn't mean they weren't worried about the children. The Villagers that stayed gathered at the center of the square to talk about the events that were happening.

As they were discussing a house suddenly exploded. They were stunned at first but hastily ran towards the destroyed house. "LEOOO!!!" they shouted after realizing whose dwelling exploded. Yes, it was Lionell and his twins' house.

Everyone knew that Leo was bedridden at the moment because he got stung by some Wildebees. And how could they not when Little Lu and Leah told everyone about it.

'What could possibly have happened?!' They all thought.

When they're only a couple of meters away from the broken house. They heard a Mighty Beast's roar before something whistled through the air and flew directly toward a nearby house. Bang! It was smashed to pieces!

The Villagers halted their steps. "Is that who I think it is?" Said by a dark skinned man in his twenties. He had a head of grey dreadlocks and some tribal tattoos on his body. He also has an engraved mark on the back of his right hand like that of Lionell. His name was Jackal.

Booom! A small cottage was just smashed down!

"My cottage! It took me 8 months to build that!" Exclaimed by a man with a fish pole and stitches all over his body as he saw his hard work go down the drain.

Bang! A four horned cow was just blown to bits.

"Noooo! Not my baby!" An old woman cried! She really loved that cow.

BOOOM!

Something just heavily landed on the ground.

Debris and dust flew everywhere creating a small dust tornado. A small discernible silhouette could be seen inside it and its red glowing eyes looked eerie. Eventually some of the dust settled down and the villagers got a good look at it. It was a little boy albeit he was more muscular and taller than everyone at his age. He looked just like Leah, he had the same golden eyes like her or should have, his eyes were all red at the moment. He had the same pitch black messy hair that now stood on ends but Leo had a scar on his cheek unlike Leah. Two diagonal scars could be seen on his small face, which he got when he and Leah fought a Four-eyed Deer they were hunting. He made a mistake and almost got stabbed in the face with the Deer's antlers but his fast reflex saved him in time.

Leo suddenly growled! ROOOAR*

"What's all the ruckus about?! You younglings don't really want me to rest do you?!" Said by an old man. He wore a white long garment and was supported by a walking stick. He was bald and he had a long beard on his chin looking like an old scholar… well almost. He was short and  skinny, that one might ask why is this old man still alive and was still able to walk? He was practically skin and bones. Also he looks like one cough away from death's door.

*Swoosh! Something came out of the dusty mess.

"Careful Old Kyle!!!" Shouted by a woman dressed in a blue kimono like dress.

Seeing the figure going straight towards him, the old man was shocked! Yet instantly a smile appeared across his face, he then closed his eyes, looking like he had accepted his fate and was ready to be turned into a fog of blood when suddenly a robed figure appeared before him. The robed figure was quite tall, he was clad in a black robe from head to toe and a hood was covering its face. The figure pushed Old Kyle away from harm's way and also simultaneously evaded Leo but it looked like it did the opposite when the other Villagers saw the old man fly like a swatted fly and smashed heavily on a house or what's left of that house since it was smashed earlier.

"Sin, you bastard! Are you trying to kill me?!" Yelled by the old man looking sorry in his messy clothes. He was covered in dust and his long beard was thrown over his shoulder. It was simply a miracle he was able to survive that crash.

Sin, the robed figure comically scratched his head and looked awkward. He wanted to save Old Kyle yet he actually did more harm than good. But if he didn't then Old Kyle would definitely be dead by now… or would he?

"What happened to Leo?" Asked Aunty Jane worriedly. She was one of the few who stayed since there's practically nothing she can do once she encounters a beast. She wasn't weak, it's just her skills weren't made for combat. She wanted to get back to Noah's side but he can't leave Leo like this. She at least wanted to help.

"Primal Instinct. Don't worry he's going to be alright" uttered by Old man Kyle as he dusted himself off. Sin went over to his back and pat the dust away from the old man's back but the Old Man heavily tumbled forward.

"Don't! Don't help me anymore! I'm fine." Hastily said by Old man Kyle after seeing that Sin wanted to help him up. Sin slouched down and sadly walked away. "You freak of nature" whispered by Old man Kyle as he supported himself with a cane. Sin heard it and sobbed, he ran away.

"He made Sin cry again."

"Yeah, this old man is too much."

"He's definitely going to hell."

The villagers showered Old Kyle with criticism. Their words were harsh but the most brutal one was uttered in between the criticism to hide …

"I hope this old man drops dead already. Then I could move into his place hehe."

"Karma you bastard I heard that!"

"Wha-? And how do you know it was me?" Indignantly asked by a fierce looking man with two axes on his back. He was burly and barbaric looking. He had a head of spiky black hair and was only wearing a leather vest which was opened at the front showcasing his chiseled muscles. But on his chest, an engraved mark could be seen.

"Who else here is eying my house other than you huh?!" Fumingly said by the Old man.

Karma looked around and all eyes were also on him. He saw Brian and couldn't help but grin. "Hmp Brian said he wanted to live in your place too."

"What a load of bullsh-"

"STOP!!! All of you! You all act like children, have you forgotten what's happening to Leo right now?!" Jane was furious, 'Seriously this is why the childrens are getting out hand, it's because they're learning from these childish adults'

"We're sorry…" they said as they all looked down. Aunty Jane's head really hurts at the moment she couldn't help but sigh and then face Old man Kyle.

"What exactly does it mean when someone awakens their Primal Instinct?" Brian asked, he had some little understanding about Primal Instinct but he never really had any desire nor the time to think about it except now.
