In a small remote village, silence ensued as the villagers surrounded a small hut. Only the harmony of the small insects and the occasional hoot of an owl resounded throughout the silent night. All the villagers wore an anxious expression except for the little children who were clueless as to what was happening. After a couple of minutes, screams of pain echoed from within the small hut.
----
Inside the hut, an old woman with emerald green eyes was delivering a baby from a red haired woman. "Push Calir! Push!" Encouraged the old woman.
"Ahhh! Ugh!" The woman groaned as she experienced pain she never felt before. She gripped the bedsheets and her other hand held on tightly to a man with platinum blonde hair beside her. The man was grimacing in pain as if he was the one giving birth.
"Breath! Just breath! You can do it honey! Push! Push!" Exclaimed the man. Beads of sweat formed on his forehead as he tried his best to stop his tears from leaking out. 'Come on my child! Come out already!' Thought the man as he looked at his exhausted poor wife. This was the only time he ever saw her with such an expression. Even when she was injured in battle she never winced even one bit but now… 'Please come out already!' Prayed the man.
The man then looked at his hand that her wife was holding on to. *crack* 'My hand won't be able to last long if this continues! So please my child do it for daddy and mommy!'
And as if his prayers were answered...
"Ugaahh!" Calir exclaimed for the last time as strength left her body and she collapsed on the bed.
"Congratulations! both of you it's a bo-" Said the old woman but before she could finish her sentence she suddenly felt something was wrong. Dread was then poured on them because the baby- the baby wasn't crying! It wasn't even breathing!
The man's face lost color as his eyes widened. The mother on the other hand lagged for a bit because of the exhaustion thus she wasn't able to comprehend the situation as fast as the other two.
But when she did- "M-My baby…" said the mother as tears fell down on her cheeks and then she lost consciousness. Her body and mind wasn't able to handle the stress caused by the sudden turn of events.
The old woman was fast on taking action. She was already performing emergency exercises on the newly born baby right after she realized that the baby wasn't breathing. When there was no response she proceeded on taking drastic measures. Dark green aura oozed out of her and she placed it on the baby's chest.
'No this- this can't be!' The old woman shivered as she figured out the reason why the baby wasn't breathing.
"The baby is-...dea-d...he has no soul." The old woman choked as she uttered that dreadful word while looking at the dismayed father.
"No! H-How could that be?" The father denied it immediately and lost his balance as he kneeled beside the bed. His hand that was still holding on to his wife gripped harder.
"Wait! I-It's not too late!" Said the old woman as he looked at the man meaningfully. "We can still save him, his body is still that of an infant so his soul would still be weak. I should be able to find it and guide it back to his body."
'That's right! Old Beth is the best in this field' Thought the man as he stood up. "Do it! I'll take full responsibility." He answered immediately. The consequences of what's about to happen would be heavy but… 'I'll deal with it when it comes. What's important is my son's life'
The old woman or rather Old Beth started gathering energy from her surroundings as she performed an incantation. Dark green aura exuded from her body as malevolent energies began forming a magic circle on her palms. Her green eyes also glowed darker.
The man or rather the father, saw this and also gathered energies from his surroundings. "I'll support you." But unlike the old woman who's energy was dark and malevolent. The father's energy was bright and soothing. His body was coated with light making him look majestic like a heavenly emperor, a faint silhouette of a six winged angel also appeared at his back. Then a magic circle began to form on his palms.
Outside, the villagers started to get more anxious when they felt the energies in the surroundings stir. 'What the hell is happening inside?' 'I hope no accidents happen!' They all thought.
Inside, the father looked at the baby and resolution burned in his eyes. "Don't worry son. Daddy won't let you and your Mommy be separated… even if it cost me my life!"

The father and the old woman simultaneously casted their spells. The father's spells were directed at the baby. While the old woman's spell was used to create a portal of some sort that leads to an unknown realm.
"Heaven's Light: Light of Vitality!"
Rich heavenly light coated the baby entirely preserving whatever life essence the baby has left. It also nourished the baby's body greatly increasing its vitality. After that another spell from the father followed.
"Heaven's Miracle: Life Heal!"
A halo made of light suddenly appeared on top of the baby's head while another one simultaneously appeared above the father's head. A huge amount of life essence was then sucked out of the father's body which was transferred to the baby through the halo.
The old woman finished her preparation and casted her spells.
"Death God's Domain: Door of the Underworld!"
A huge door made of thousands of white bones suddenly appeared out of nowhere. It barely fit in the small hut and in the middle of the door, a big black demonic skull was engraved. Its eyes burn in red ambers as its mouth slowly opens wide. "There is no going back now Chief." Old Beth said to the man as she looked at him. "The dead often came back with ill intent. Although he may have just died and still an infant, his soul could have been corrupted by the lingering resentment of the dead already."
"Don't worry about that, don't forget who I am. I still have enough power to purify his soul before you guide it back to his body. Just focus on finding him first."
'The Sword of Nirvahnna, the Holy Paladin Christopher Michaelis. I have never forgotten who you are.' Thought Old Beth inwardly as she nodded her head and focused on her second spell.
"Tome of Death: Soul Searc-"
But before her spell took effect everything stopped! Everything! Everyone in the hut and outside. All the living and non living things. Even the spells that were casted. The world, the universe, the whole mortal realm and all others above it stopped as if a cosmic freeze was casted. Time itself stopped functioning.
"Hmm…" a profound voice then echoed throughout the silent hut as the baby in the old woman's arms slowly floated and opened its eyes. The Baby's eyes contained nothing but light greatly illuminating the whole place.
"How?" The Baby mused as he scanned his surroundings. He then looked at his tiny hands and small figure. He couldn't help but find it funny that his once great stature and overbearing presence has now turned into an infant's small and frail body. 'Oh how the mighty have fallen' he thought.
"Why did I reincarnate? I clearly self-destructed, body, soul and everything. And what is this familiarity that I can feel in my surroundings? Odd." The Baby assessed his situation as he closed his eyes trying to feel the connection that he can feel.
"I see… Interesting." After a while the Baby opened his eyes and found out why he felt such connections. He also discovered that he didn't have a soul. It turns out this vessel of his died because of the Primordial Spark inside him. The Primordial Spark is the culmination of all his memories and experience when he was still alive. It also contained his will and consciousness. Because of this, the newly born soul inside his vessel was destroyed, it couldn't handle the burden caused by the Primordial Spark. How and why it ended up inside this mortal baby's body? Even he didn't know. It should've been destroyed long ago.
Good thing the energies in the surrounding stirred, jolting his consciousness to awaken. What he was right now is an incomplete lifeform, a newly born baby with a Primordial Spark of a Primordial being but without a soul. The Baby's body was alive thanks to the father's spell. But the Spark was also destroying it, the Baby reckoned the body would deteriorate in a couple of minutes. Not because it has no soul but because the burden of having a Primordial Spark is too great for a mortal infant to bear.
After contemplating for a while the Baby performed a slashing motion with his tiny hand in front of him. It created a spacial-rift to an unknown realm and unlike what the old woman opened, his gate leads to a more mysterious and more unfathomable realm.
The spacial-rift closed as a naked plump baby entered it. Inside the new realm one can see myriads of bright stars with different hues constantly producing Life Orbs which gather at the center of the realm. At the very center of the realm, a rainbow colored swirl can be seen. It was massive like a mini galaxy. The moment he entered the realm the stars began to glow more brightly, some of the Life Orbs danced around the baby and rainbow colored auspicious clouds gathered around him gently brushing against his skin making him more relaxed. The whole realm seemed to be conscious and was welcoming him like an excited toddler welcoming its parents. He gently touched the clouds and directed his gaze at the center of the rainbow swirl. According to his memories this was called the Myriad Life Pond.
The center of the Myriad Life Pond and the Baby was separated by millions of miles. But the Baby was able to cross it in a single breath of time. With a single step he now stood at the center of Myriad Life Pond. It was beautiful, mysterious and emits a very rich and pure energy. At the center of the pond, Life Orbs gathered and they all vary in color and brightness.
"The Myriad Life Realm, a hidden realm beneath the Karmic Tree where new souls are born." Uttered the Baby with a profound baby voice as memories of a place just like this flashed in his mind. But one thing differs though, the one he remembered was a dull colored ruined realm being destroyed and in the center of its destruction was him.
