Sherine opened her eyes and pushed her body off the bed. Her eyes met the silvery eyes of the Alchemist. It hadn’t been a day in the town, and Zephyr brought another woman home. An older beauty overflowing with charm and sex appeal.

“Zephyr…?”

As the depression crept over her, Zephyr sat by her side and rubbed her head. “How are you feeling now?”

“I…” she blushed. “I am better.”

She wasn’t as hot and bothered. The little rest eased her tensions. The calm wouldn’t last as long as he remained near her, the reason for these foreign feelings.

Zephyr pulled her into his chest and stroked her back. “We’ll talk about our relationship later.”

His whisper gave rise to a wave of anticipation. She gulped and nodded her head, rubbing her sealed horn against his chest.

Drake nudged Achmea, who gazed at the couple sharing an intimate moment. “Sherine can’t speak. Can you make a potion to cure her?”

Achmea’s eyes behind the blindfold widened. Zephyr’s fiancée was just doing light gestures with her head. Understanding her thoughts would be nigh impossible even for the most perceptive. He did so without missing a beat.

The chemistry between the couple was astonishing.

Achmea shook her head in the face of her brother’s glimmering eyes. “A potion to cure her doesn’t exist.”

At least not in the alchemy books she read to this day. As the increase of Forsaken Lands under the Brood Queen, the knowledge and wealth on their side decreased.

Drake rubbed his face with a heavy sigh. “Unfortunate. I think these lovebirds don’t need words to communicate. It’s more appropriate to call them soulmates.”

“Certainly.”

Her relationship with her late husband seemed frail compared to the bond between Sherine and Zephyr.

“Listen,” Achmea said with a light cough. “I can concoct a potion to ease your symptoms.”

“Sherine?”

Zephyr left the choice to Sherine. If she was ready, he had no reason to hesitate. He was maidenless in his previous life. But here he was in a fantasy world, carrying the infatuation mark of a dragon on his chest and hugging her erotic body.

He was no longer maidenless!

Sherine took a deep breath, taking in his scent, and nodded. “I need time to collect my thoughts. I’m not ready to do t-that… yet. I might faint.”

He chuckled, greatly looking forward to pushing down the voluptuous woman that clung to him.

“I am not causing trouble for you, right?” Sherine asked in a meek voice as she pushed him and gazed up with almost teary eyes. “Right?”

Something about her nervous figure was precious. He couldn’t help but pat her head even more.

“How will that cause trouble? I’d be more motivated to do better in the Game of Multiverse. For my cute fiancée~.”

With the power of love, he might just win out the whole thing and get back her voice.

Sherine buried her face deeper in his chest, embarrassed to look into his eyes. “I love you.”

Her thought was muffled, barely audible.

“Me too,” Zephyr replied to her confession with a smile.

Infatuation or pure lust for her beauty, he couldn't care about the origin of his feelings. He wanted her, it was all that mattered.

He turned to Achmea. “Please make the potion for her. I’ll cover the cost.”

Drake punched Zephyr’s shoulder. “Keep your money for something more important.”

Achmea nodded. “You don’t have to pay.”

Today, she became the second person of this era to witness the descendant of a dragon. The experience couldn't be bought with any amount of money.

Achmea set up her tools and materials on the table inside the inn. Drake helped her. She began mixing all kinds of mixtures of different colors and consistency.

Sherine shivered to even think about the potion’s taste. ‘Just once. I’d do it with Zephyr next time.’

The strange potions gave her the courage to sleep with Zephyr and end her nervousness once and for all.

After a few minutes of tinkering, Achmea raised a vial filled with mysterious blue fluid.

“The Glacier Yin elixir. It should suppress your urges for some time. I recommend you do it with your partner afterwards.”

Sherine nodded and took the vial, drinking it down in one go. The cold fluid immediately brought down her temperature. She felt normal. More normal than she had ever been.

“It worked!”

Sherine’s smile confirmed the potion’s effect. Achmea slightly puffed her chest in her success. The art she picked up as a side hobby helped out more humans than her time as a literal goddess.

“Thanks for helping out,” Zephyr said and gave a thumbs up to Drake. “You’re a good friend.”

“Haha, I didn’t do much. We’ll get going now. Someone has to help her clean up the mess.”

Achmea, who was done packing up her stuff, stood up. Zephyr walked past her and blocked the door.

“I’m a bit hungry after running. Why don’t we all dine together?”

Zephyr had a hunch about Achmea but he needed more time to confirm it. The fact that Achmea discerned Sherine’s race. Eating together will also give him an opportunity to learn more about the odd pair of siblings.

Achmea tried to decline him, saying she had a lot of work to do. Sherine joined her hands together and gave her most sincere look. She hadn’t said a word but anyone could imagine a “please” coming out of her.

“I’m free and energetic because of your meticulous approach in purging the fools.” Drake put a hand on Achmea’s shoulder. “When was the last time you ate, my beloved sister?”

“Morning.”

Drake glared at her. “Do not lie.”

“...Four days.”

Zephyr blinked his eyes. How busy must one be to forgo food for four days? This woman’s sense of duty surpassed even the most devoted mind. The inhumane feat shed more light on her extraordinary race.

“Come with us if you have an ounce of love for your younger brother.”

Drake straight up blackmailed his sister. Achmea buckled under the combined pressure of three people and agreed.

The four occupied a side of the dining area. The inn lady ran around in a waitress dress, flustered by the sheer number of customers. Most were there just to gossip about Achmea and see the new exotic beauty in the town.

And seeing Sherine they did.

Sherine frowned and rubbed the ring on her finger, displeased by the gawking of nearly twenty people. Achmea handled everything calmly, showing her experience as the celebrity of Gallowind Town.

‘I have to be like that.’

The half dragoness took it as a goal to reach Achmea’s level of calmness.
