Seth and Caitlin were floating on chocolate, deep underneath the Royal Chambers or, more accurately, the Imperial Chambers. Caitlin was lying with her body over Seth’s, one of his legs firmly caught between her thighs.
“The others usually call me a cheater, but you’re the biggest cheater of all of us.” Said Seth with a chuckle.
Caitlin looked up and smiled: “But since you taught me everything I am, doesn’t that still make you the biggest cheater?”
Seth slapped her behind, but Caitlin didn’t flinch as she took a bite of his chest in retribution. Looking at her playful expression, Seth sighed and said: “You know that doesn’t hurt, do you?”
“It’s fun.” Replied Caitlin through her teeth, still holding on firmly to his chest. Seth shook his head and rubbed her back. “We should go. We’ve been here too long, and Maya is probably already brooding.”
Caitlin released his chest with a nod. “Alright. I know that I’ve already monopolized you too much.”
Seth chuckled, and they both stood up from the molten chocolate.
Caitlin looked around and asked: “Are you going to destroy it?”
Seth noticed the sorrowful look in her eyes and shook his head: “No. I’ve never done this before, but it was fun. I’ve been thinking of bringing Maya here as well.”
The sorrow on Caitlin’s face only intensified as Seth teleported them inside his room. Spreading his destruction and creation energies, he cleansed both of their bodies before creating a set of clothes.
“You know? You’re the only one who gets to walk without care after spending a night with me. Not to mention things got even rougher than usual.”
Caitlin pouted again and said: “I know it’s quite annoying, but my source will spin on its own...”
Seth shook his head and gave her a small book. “I’ll go check on Maya and Katy. You can study this in the meantime.”
“Is this… seventh shell knowledge?” asked Caitlin, snatching the book from his hand.
“It is. You are already ready to break through. After reading and understanding it, make sure to come to me before attempting to break through. There should be no issues, but it’s better to make sure.”
Caitlin nodded and looked at the bed in Seth’s room. “Can I stay here?”
“Alright.” Seth nodded and kissed her lips before teleporting again. The next moment he arrived in the garden, where Katy and Maya were chatting casually.
When he appeared, Katy jumped from the table, rushing straight into Seth’s arms. Seth caught her mid-jump and spun once with her before carrying her back to the bench, her feet dangling in mid-air.
“I missed you so much.” Whispered Katy in his ear.
“I missed you too, Katy, but we spent most of those five years unconscious.” Whispered Seth, sitting down with Katy in his lap and looking at Maya. “Thank you for giving Caitlin her moment, and sorry for taking so long.”
Maya nodded and sighed: “Seth, I want nothing more than to spend time with you, but you should see Hilda and Nash. There’s also Alice….”
“I will, but I know you kept my situation a secret from my parents, so I’m sure there isn’t such a big deal. As for Alice, she has already settled in the capital, and meeting her can wait.” replied Seth.
“We did, but it’s not the easiest thing to hide. Your parents were already suspecting something a while ago, and also… they are getting old.”
Seth sighed and lowered his head. “I know, but there’s not much I can do. They don’t want to ascend, and I don’t know how to convince them otherwise. It’s not like I can force them to.”
“You should try speaking to them again. Maybe after living in Endora for such a long time, they had reconsidered. I thought about opening the subject with them, but with you missing and all the trouble around, I didn’t want to give myself away.”
“There’s also the announcement of your return, and we should prepare a celebration. While you were missing, I’ve been taking care of the empire, but the people still need their emperor.”
Seth sighed again and nodded: “We’ll do that once the others return. We’ll keep my return on the down low as I deal with my parents and spend some more time with all of you.”
Seth paused before stroking Katy’s head, who was rubbing her head against his chest like a kitty. “There’s one more thing I wanted to speak to you two about.”
Hearing she was also involved, Katy looked up with big curious eyes as Maya asked: “What is it?”
“The incident with Katy. While troublesome, it let me learn a few things. One of those things is that Katy can easily bear children.”

Katy’s eyes shinned brightly as soon as she heard his words while Maya lowered her head. Sighing, Maya asked: “Do you want to have one so your parents won’t pester you anymore?”
Seth sighed and nodded: “I want to speak to them and try to convince them again, but if they refuse, I wanted to do them at least this favor.”
Katy’s excitement died down when she noticed Maya’s expression and said right after Seth: “Don’t worry, sister. We’ll all be the child’s mothers. Even if I gave birth to him, we would all be his parents.”
Maya smiled and bent forward to rub Katy’s head. “I know Katy. Thank you.”. She then looked up at Seth and nodded: “Go see your parents first. After that, you must make it up to me and Katy. Also, even if they agree this time, you and Katy should still do it. Having a little Seth around will be fun when you decide to leave again.”
Seth sighed and placed Katy on the bench, kissing her passionately before moving across and sharing another kiss with Maya. “This time, I won’t be leaving so soon. By the time I do, my child might be even older than Katy is right now.”
Maya nodded and said: “Go. They’ve been missing you.”
Seth closed his eyes and warped the space around him. His surroundings blurred, and he arrived at a small garden not far from the Imperial Palace. His parents were lying comfortably on a large bed, carelessly watching the sky.
‘Worried, my ass.’ Thought Seth as he approached them from the back and bent forward above them.
“Ah.” “Eek.” Both Nash and Hilda were startled, letting out some very uncharacteristic sounds. “You brat. Missing for years, and now you appear like that? You almost gave your mother and me a heart attack.”
“Mom, dad. I’m back.” Seth chuckled and looked at his father’s red face before turning toward his mother, who was smiling lovingly at him.
Nash scoffed, and they both sat up, moving to share a hug with Seth before all three of them lay on the large comfortable bed.
“Where have you been?” asked Hilda.
“Up north, messing around with some idiots. Have you two been well?”
Hilda nodded, and Nash said: “See? I told you, Hilda, you just imagined things. The brat was surely fooling around with more women.”
Hilda raised an eyebrow and asked: “Did you, Seth?”
“No, not really. Just an old grumpy foot and some annoying worm.” Muttered Seth before smiling wryly when he saw his parents’ curious looks. “Nothing important. At least, not as important as you two…”
Seth looked at their white hair and wrinkled faces before continuing: “Are you two still against becoming ascended?”
The atmosphere turned suddenly a lot heavier and everyone fell silent. Eventually, it was Nash who spoke as he said: “Seth, your mother and I are more than happy with how things are now.”
“We’ve considered it numerous times, but the ascended life is not for us. We’re already content, our son having long exceeded our expectations. If someone were to tell us you’d become an emperor of about half of the continent, I might have beat the foot myself. Haha.”
Hilda also nodded and said: “We made our peace and are happy just waiting for our ends to come. You have your responsibilities, family, and life in a completely different world than ours. Nash and I are prouder than any parent will ever be.”
Seth sighed and said: “I understand, but it’s also quite frustrating. When I turned back time, I wanted to give you two the life you wanted and make up for everything, but most of my time was spent on the run… your lives are now approaching their end, and I barely had any chance to make up for everything.”
Hilda and Nash smiled before Hilda said: “Oh, son. There’s nothing for you to make up for. Whatever it might have happened, that life has nothing to do with us here and now. As for this life, we’re more than content.”
Nash nodded and said: “We also would have liked to spend more time with you, but between all of your responsibilities, even if you got some free time, you should spend it with your women and not old folks like us. I know I would have done that.”
Seth chuckled and looked up at the sky. “Fine. I won’t bug you two about it anymore. I’ll probably spend the next 50-something years in Endora, except if anything were to happen, so I’ll make sure to spend a lot of time with you before… sigh.”
Hilda smiled and rolled to hug Seth to her chest. “Oh, my little boy, just knowing you are fine is enough for us. I don’t know much about ascended, but whatever happens after we are gone, don’t forget your parents are proud of you.”
Nash also nodded and hugged the two with red eyes, not saying a single word.
For the rest of the day, Seth and his family lay in the garden of his parents’ house, chatting casually. Seth chose not to tell them about his plan of having a child with Katy yet, still unsure how that would end up.
Once the sun started to die down, Seth said goodbye to his parents and returned to the Imperial Chambers.
What he didn’t notice was a tiny thread of perception and lust energy leaving his sources and entering his parents’ bodies as he initiated his teleportation.
