Chapter 51: Curiosity that bled the cat

“You still haven’t told me what you’re going to do in the Wrath kingdom.”, said Hollie as they were flying over the city.

“Do you know the Valdez knight family of their kingdom?”

Seeing Hollie shake her head, Seth continued: “I have a student outside the academy who is a refugee from the Valdez family. The king locked her family in prison when he got into power, and my student barely escaped. Now, I got word that they planned on executing her family, so I am going to get them out of there.”

Hollie looked quite surprised by his answer and asked: “Are you doing all this for a student?”

“Kind of, but that’s not all. They are all very loyal people, which I know I could count on. They might come in handy in the future.”

“Are you sure you can save them?” asked Hollie next.

“They are only six people and I’m about to break into the third shell. Once I do that, getting them out shouldn’t be that hard.”

Hollie nodded, not finding it too surprising Seth was already at the third shell. With his knowledge, all he needed was energy, and given how he offered over 30 vials for her students, he didn’t seem to lack those either.

They flew for half a day until Hollie’s energy ran out and they had to stop. “Do you want an energy vial?” asked Seth as they were resting in the shadow of a tree.

Hollie raised an eyebrow and shook her head before saying: “I took one for cultivating before leaving.”

Seeing the curiosity in her eyes, Seth chuckled and took a vial out of his storage space.

Hollie give the vial an inquisitive look and asked: “Where did you pull it from?”

“Space. Another type of energy…” Seth slowly took the time to explain what space was while she was recovering her energy.

“Couldn’t you have used space energy to reach Wrath kingdom faster?” asked Hollie.

“I can only displace my body for small distances right now in the second shell. To reach the Wrath kingdom in one go, I would need to reach at least the fifth shell. The further I progress, the farther I can teleport.”

Hollie nodded in understanding before asking: “What about the vial? Where did you take it from?”

“Once I broke through the first shell, I could create a small dimension inside my body where I can store different objects.”

“Handy.” Muttered Hollie before asking: “Why are you telling me now? You never answered my questions before.”

“Because you agreed to help me. Consider it good faith on my part as well. More so, I trust you.”

Hollie nodded and laid down on the soft grass, looking up towards the blinding sun.

“Seth, do I have other affinities I missed when creating my source?”

“Indeed, you do.” Replied Seth as he lay down as well. “You have a secondary affinity for darkness, but you don’t have to think of it like that. Even if you were to practice the two of them, your progress would have been a lot slower with all the faulty knowledge. That darkness energy is also the main reason for such a large amount of impurities inside your source.”

“What is darkness like?”

“Not that much different from air, it being an elemental affinity as well.”

Hollie turned towards Seth and asked: “Can I have a look at your energies? I don’t want you to explain to me what they do. I just want to see them.”

Seth smiled and summoned six rotating orbs of energy. Seth looked at her captivated expression and asked: “Do you want to be my lover, Hollie?”

The sudden question took her by surprise as she asked: “Don’t you have Maya?”

Seth chuckled and separated the orb of lust energy from the rest before saying: “This is a type of energy called lust energy. To progress in this source, I need to absorb energy from having sex with women, since none of it is found in the atmosphere.”

“While having sex with only one person would still help me progress, the more people I have sex with, the faster the progress.”

“Maya already knows about it, but I plan on taking every woman I like as my lover and building a harem.”

Hollie listened to his words as she brought her hand closer to the lust source. “I never imagined there could be such an energy.” Fixing her eyes on Seth, she asked: “What can it do?”

“In the first shell, it allows me to see the emotions of other people in the form of an aura, as well as make them sexually excited. The second one could increase someone’s stamina. I don’t know from there on tho…”

Hollie nodded and asked: “Can you use it on me? I want to see how it feels.”

Seth found the request not strange for the ever curious Hollie, so he grabbed her hand and started flooding her body with lust energy.

After calming her breathing, he grabbed Seth’s hand again and said: “Give me some more.”

Hollie fell into deep thought for a moment before saying: “I don’t know about the lover thing, but I guess I’ll sex a try. I’d never been interested before, but the feeling just before was not bad. We’ll do it when we stop to rest for longer. Now we should continue. My energy is almost completely recovered.”

It wasn’t exactly what Seth had in mind, but he didn’t have a reason to decline her scientific sex, so he nodded.

Hollie lifted him into the air again, and they continued on their journey. With short, around two hours breaks in between, they flew for an entire week until Hollie’s constant usage of energy forced them to take an actual break.

After landing at the edge of a small lake, they both sat down on a rock and Hollie said: “Shall we try it now?”

“Aren’t you too tired? You’ve been exhausting your source for the entire week.” Asked Seth in concern.

Hollie shook her head and said: “It’s fine. Can you show me how to do it? I know the general idea, but I have no experience.”

Seth chuckled, seeing a trace of curiosity in her eyes. Grabbing her hand gently, he teleported them both down from the rock and used creation energy to make a bed for them. Hollie watched the show with curiosity and asked: “This bed is not from your storage space, is it? I could feel strange energy activating while it took form.”

Seth nodded and said: “Another one of my sources.”. He didn’t explain further as he took her to sit down on the edge of the bed.

He decided that since it was her first time, he wouldn’t use lust energy and just do it the normal way. After covering her with a blanket, he sat down next to her and looked at the smile on her lips before closing his eyes to sleep.
