Chapter 80: Deals

Seth teleported back to his room, spending a great deal of his morning just laying in bed and cultivating. The system informed him when his mother woke up and started discussing things with Nash, but Seth didn’t want to know what they spoke about.

Just as he was about to drink his second vial of energy, the room to his door opened, and Maya walked in. She was all smiles until she noticed the bleak look on Seth’s face.

Her smile faded as she came to sit next to him.

Your mom?". She knew that few things could make Seth look like this, and, considering all that had happened recently, only his mother could be the culprit.

Seth nodded and smiled wryly. “I spilled the beans on my harem plan and caused her to pass out.”

Maya’s face turned slightly awkward, not knowing how she should respond to that. Calling him an idiot felt slightly insensitive of her right now, so she just pulled him into a hug, letting the assets she was blessed with calm him instead.

Seth felt a warm and mushy feeling engulf his face and smiled as he moved his arms around Maya’s back. Maya kept rubbing the back of his head, not that different from how a mother would do to her unhappy child, and said: “Do you want to spend the day here?”

Seth sighed and pulled his head out. Looking over the notifications on his interface, which he ignored as he relaxed, he shook his head: “I have too many things to take care of. I wish I had a source to split me into multiple bodies so I could take care of everything simultaneously.”

Maya chuckled and gave him a suggestive look before saying: “That would be useful in other ways as well.”

Seth chuckled back, understanding her meaning, before sitting up from the bed. “Thanks for coming to cheer me up. Your breasts do an excellent job of that, by the way.”

“Oh my, but thank you, your excellency, God of Destruction. Why does your excellency think I bothered to grow them so large and soft?” Replied Maya with a proud look, patting her large breasts as she spoke.

Seth chuckled again and kissed her lips before creating a small portal. “You’re the best. Sorry for not joining you and Tiana last night. Things got interesting with Henrietta, but I’ll make it up to you.”

“Your loss, not ours.” Said Maya as she watched Seth disappear into the portal. Once he was gone, she laid on his bed and took the vial Seth didn’t open from the side before downing it in one go.

Seth appeared on the ship’s deck, where Julie, Lisa’s mother, was gazing at the clouds with a lost look. Feeling someone come next to her, she turned to look at who it was, only for her body to freeze at the sight of Seth.

Seth chuckled at her reaction and pulled two cups of ale from his spatial storage, extending one towards her.

Julie looked at the ale with suspicion and didn’t want to pick it up.

“Mrs. Oconnor, if I had any intention of harming you, do you think I’ll stoop so low as to poison you?”

‘You stooped low enough to cut my husband’s dick; what’s a little poison to you?’ she said in her mind, but she didn’t want to enrage him further and just picked up the ale cup she was offered.

She didn’t drink and just held it in her hand as she asked: “Why is ascended Seth looking for me?”

Seth sighed and took a sip of the ale, finding its taste pleasant for probably the first time. He had never liked alcohol before, but it seemed to soothe some of his troubles this time.

“There are a few reasons, but the most important one is that I want us to make peace.”

Julie looked at him and his forlorn expression with a raised eyebrow as she said: “I’m afraid I don’t understand ascended Seth’s meaning.”

Seth shook his head: “Lisa is refusing to talk to me anymore; my mother just passed out after discovering my plan to have hundreds of wives, and I don’t really know how to fix any of that.”

“I figured if anyone could help me solve at least one of my problems, that would be you. I also brought a peace offering.”

Julie didn’t understand what that offering was, but she remained silent, waiting for Seth to continue. Seth looked into her eyes and said: “I can fix your husband’s problem, and we could finally bury the hatchet. I was wondering if Mrs. Oconnor is interested.”

Julie sighed and looked back into the distance as she asked: “Why did you come to me and not my daughter or husband?”

Seth drank another sip of the ale. “Because your daughter is an emotional person and your husband, pardon my phrasing, a stuck-up fool. I would have more luck convincing the king of Oath to hand me the throne on a silver platter than make those two listen to me. On the other hand, you seem the most rational person in that family.”

Julie released a muffled chuckle and looked at the cup of ale in her hand. Taking a sip out of it, she asked: “You said that you cared little about us and that you only cared about Lisa. You also said you plan on having hundreds of wives…” she didn’t finish her words and just twirled the drink in her cup with a thoughtful look.

“Do I consider Lisa one of those future wives?” asked Seth, smiling while watching his reflection in the cup in his hand. “A potential one, yes, but judging how things have been going, who knows what’s going to happen…”

Julie shrugged and said: “Yeah, a girl would tend to refuse to marry someone that cut her father’s dick off.”

Seth chuckled and down the entire cup of ale. “I guess you’re right. So?”

Julie looked to the side, straight into Seth’s eyes, before nodding and downing her cup as well. “I’ll help you, but you must take care of my daughter. She’s always been sort of clumsy and a bit of an idiot, but she’s a good girl.”

“Even if the other families don’t see it, I know we were already at your mercy when we stepped onto this ship. Or even sooner, when our daughters choose to join your class. At least this way, I can get some leverage back, betting that you wouldn’t mistreat your wife or her family.”

Seth smiled and nodded. “You really take me as a worse person than I really am. I honestly just want to have some fun with the ones I love and someday rule this world together with them. Still, it’s refreshing to have a chat with someone like you. If you were not already taken, I wouldn’t have minded taking you by my side too.”

“I heard the talks, ascended Seth, but as you said, I’m already taken. I’ll leave that excitement to my daughter.” Said Julie before throwing the cup back at Seth and walking towards the staircase to the ship’s hull. She stopped at the top stair and looked back at him. “As for that dick, take care of it as soon as possible. I still need it.”

Seth chuckled and stowed both cups in his storage room before disappearing from the ship’s deck. Walking through the ship’s hull, he headed slowly toward its depths, nodding at every person he passed.

They were mostly members of the other families, people he didn’t know, but he knew he would have to rely on most of them when they started building Blood back up. Once he reached a room deep inside the hull, he knocked softly on the door.

“Enter. It’s open.” A calm voice came from inside, and Seth pushed open the door. Leora and Caitlin were both cultivating and opened their eyes to look at Seth the moment he walked in.

Leora nodded silently, but Caitlin seemed excited as she noticed Seth’s eyes land on her. “Are we healing someone else?”

Sighing, Seth closed the door and approached the bed the two were sitting on. Seth’s face was somewhat sunken, not knowing how he could ask her to heal Saif’s thing.

Leora moved to the side, allowing some space for Seth to sit down, and even she looked interested once she saw Seth’s face.

“I might need you to fix some trouble I made.”, said Seth, feeling more awkward by the moment, “When I went to convince Lisa’s family to join us on the journey south, I might have gone overboard and cut her father’s dick off.”

“Pffft.” Caitlin immediately erupted into laughter, and Leora lifted her eyebrows in surprise. However, Caitlin’s joy was short-lived since she quickly understood what Seth’s visit meant.

The laugh disappearing from her face, she lowered her head and asked: “Do.. Do I really have to?”

Seth knew she was unwilling to touch a man’s dick, and, at the same time, it was not her problem to deal with, but he needed her help if he wanted to fix things.

“You don’t have to, but it would help me make up with Lisa. I’ll let you think about it, and you can tell me later.”, said Seth, sitting up, ready to leave the room.

Leora, on the side, looked at Seth’s back and said: “Caitlin can’t grow cut body parts. How do you want her to heal him?”

Seth’s footsteps stopped, and even Caitlin’s face turned red, knowing what Seth had planned. Noticing their weird behavior, Leora frowned and wondered if she had missed something.

Seth also turned to look at her, ready to explain, when Leora suddenly said: “Your ability to change your body. You’re giving him your thing?”

“Not really my thing, but something like that. I’m going now.” Said Seth before porting away, already fed up with that awkward conversation.

Caitlin blushed and buried her face in the mattress once he was gone.

Leora watched her monkeying around and said: “Get back to cultivating, or you will waste the vial. It’s not like you haven’t seen or touched it before. We’ve all seen it. Also, Lisa’s father no longer has one, so isn’t it just Seth’s?”

Caitlin’s embarrassment eased as she peeked at Leora like she had just found her hero and asked: “Can you come with me as well? It’s weird being alone in one room with two naked men.”

“I have no interest in being inside a room with you and two naked men either. Seth also didn’t ask me for help, but you.”

“Come on, Leora. I’ll let you have some of my food.”, said Caitlin, grabbing Leora’s hands tightly, ready to make the most significant sacrifice she could think of.

Seeing Leora was already ignoring her, she was about to give up when a thought came to her, and she said: “I can also owe you a free heal.”

Leora’s eyes opened, looking at Caitlin like she was watching an idiot. “And why would I need a free heal from you when you’ll do it anyway the moment Seth asks?”

Caitlin turned serious, looking towards Leora’s lower body without saying a word. Leora followed her eyesight and understood what she meant. Her time as a slave brought some irreparable damage to her lower body. All the things put inside her broke most of the nerves down there, and she had long been unable to feel most of anything in her lower regions.

She was initially happy about it, no longer having to deal with that excruciating pain every day, but now that she was free...

“How did you find out?” asked Leora calmly.

“When I healed you in training. My energy made its way to your…, and I felt the damage.”, said Caitlin, somehow hating herself for bringing things up like this.

She wanted to ask Leora about it and offer to heal her long ago, but never knew how to breach the subject with the always-cold Leora.

Leora gave her lower region a conflicted look. Memories of all the pain she had to endure still haunted her sometimes. Then, she remembered Seth’s reveal of his godhood, the moment he saved her, his harem plan, and how he kept gathering girls around him.

She didn’t know how to feel about it, but she also knew that sex was not supposed to be all pain and suffering. Things might not even happen as she imagined it, but she felt that if they did, she would want to at least give herself the chance to experience that pleasure she heard a woman was supposed to feel.

Looking up at Caitlin, she nodded and said: “I agree to your deal.”
