Chapter 20: Returning Home!

"AHH...fuck it hurts!" I grimaced in the pain which I felt in every section of my body. Despite being in pain I was relieved as it shows that I still was connected with my mortal thread. 

The battle I faced on the mountain top was nothing compared to what I saw and suffered in my domain some minutes or maybe hours ago. It was terrifying but even in face of death, I was awfully excited. Was my personality changing? Yes, or maybe I was like this all along but never found an opportunity to unleash this side of my mine.

'I should wake now...' Slowly lifting my heavy lids which were drenched with blood I gawked at my surrounding unhurriedly. The space was dark like I was standing right in the middle of a constellation. I knew this place, which made me relief before I closed my eyes again to rest.

[Are you okay host?] 

My lady shattered my wishes as I heard her calling for me quite worriedly?

'Were you really concerned about me?' Even though I try to believe it, it was weird and out of place for a higher existence like the lady to care for someone like me. But her next word made me quite startled.

[Do you really think I wasn't concerned for you but only for the mission? Do you think if not for your own safety, I would have drawn a portal on the verge of a world obliteration.]

"..." I was speechless for more than half a minute before I muttered in a small breath.

"Sorry for judging you."

Getting up I checked myself slowly while suffering from endless pain along the way. My breathing became even more ragged while I grasped my situation.  Most of my clothing was burnt with crimson red burn marks all over my flesh. Whether it's face or toe, I was thoroughly burnt to the point where a normal human could have died twice.

My face was also heated signifying how handsome I would be looking right now.

'Lady, you knew this would happen that's why you granted me with domain, right?" 

This was the only conclusion I could draw from the situation I was in. The domain was the most efficient and effective way to negate the detonation. It sure took a lot of toll on me, but nothing happened in the real world.

I mean God must be able to see the future then it wouldn't be surprising for him to know that something like what I faced would happen.

[To be honest, I was completely clueless about it. But after you pointed it out, it really seems that the almighty has foreseen what could unfold. ]

Well even though I knew I was right about my hypothesis, hearing it from the lady made me a little irritated.

 Reason?

I wasn't sure about it either.

'Can you heal me before sending me back to my real world?' It would be a hassle if ajumma or Dayun sees me like this, as I don't have any kind of excuse for something like this. It was like I took a death flame bath and came out alive. A perfect model for horror movies.

'Figured. Anyway please do it, my lady.' It was futile to grumble upon something like this. If I have gained all the skills with a blink, then I might have not respected such strength. 

As I was going through my monologue a golden hue exerted from the distant space and flew directly on top of my head before enveloping my whole face. I sat with my arms supporting my body as I let the lady treat me.

After a minute or so, the burning sensation wasn't there on my face or any part of my body. I smiled at the generosity provided by my lady.

I nodded before slowly getting up and standing on nothingness.

My smile deepened as I heard the genuine praise from the all-time stern and aloof lady. The feeling of being complimented was strangely ticklish and fluffy.

"Thank you. But the real thing is, if I didn't have stayed at the butterfly mansion for those days, then the result might have concluded differently, you know." The lady didn't speak for long, and I knew the reason. It was my honest thought that I expressed which I guess my lady wasn't expecting at all.

'Is she really a higher being..?' I sometimes think whether the woman talking in my head was a human or maybe a naive fairy?

My face lit up as I heard her. Getting the essence of God upgraded meant I would be able to improve in various fields. The soul power is like a battery to all the skills I use so its enhancement was a decent award for the work I did.

My brows raised in astonishment but as soon I registered her words a frown formed before I spoke up my concern.

'My domain isn't permanent?' It doesn't take a genius to draw the conclusion I hoped. Except for Domain, everything I got was at the time of reincarnation which more or less has become my innates. So what's left?

Suppressing my agitated mind I nodded wordlessly.

I took my time to register her words before I let out the most concerning matter which would decide what I would be using in the future.

As soon I said a golden framed menu popped right in front of my retina which made me startled as I fell on my butt. Suppressing the groan I started reading the content.

I pondered really hard this time. Domain gave me a space where I could fight with my rules and in my preferred territory. On the other hand, this regrowth wouldn't just help me but in case any of my family or comrades fall I would be able to save them.

The decision was simple.

But I needed to confirm something first.

I knew this wish of mine was like a child's plead but surprisingly the lady agreed.

I cracked my sullen neck before I got up and smirked devilishly. To defeat someone to get two powerhouses implanted in me...couldn't be so tough...right?

"I am ready-" Before I could have finished my sentence the space circulated furiously making my sensitive mind dizzy but I held my ground. Suddenly the figure that emerged in front of my eyes made my body stiff in its place.

"GRRAAAAAAAHHHHHHHH" What roared like a wild beast wasnt a wild beast at all. It wasn't something I have ever seen in any kind of manga and anime or hell of a place before. Even though it was inside a cage, I was frightened to death even being in the same air as the creature. Instantly my stomach churned in fret and I ended up throwing whatever was left inside my system.

"BWAGH".

The lady asked me after pulling my consciousness back to the empty space as I rested my body under countless stars. The feeling of death never felt this clear before, I swear. That creature was anything but normal. That heavy murderous intent, humongous body, deadly fangs...I still could picture it clearly in my head.

"Please add [Regrowth] in my skill log. I am happy with only one." Maybe if I become stronger in the future, then I might handle something like that, but now I could only limit my greed for the skill.

I nodded and thanked the kind noona, who still after witnessing my pathetic side never laughed at me.

Ijin traveled back to his home world without any further ado. He was less fatigued compared to the time he finished the mission so after entering the room he decided to take a bath before landing on the bed.

He first threw all the remnants of his clothing into the dustbin before wrapping himself in a towel. When he got naked he checked himself in the mirror which made him realize how fearsome his domain is...was.

'Fuck...talk about being lame.' He wiped his non-existing tears before exiting the room.

But as soon he landed his hand to twist the knob it got pulled out with the screw and with a thud the other side of the knob landed on the ground.

'Ain't I super strong now...' Instead of rejoicing, he felt it would be problematic for him to accommodate according to this world's reasoning. He slowly pulled the door with his hand clutching the edge gently, before getting out of the room.

He walked on his toes and silently descendant the stairs before turning toward the bathroom. He moved fast enough to not get noticed even if someone was to be walking around.

After entering the bath he relaxed his muscles and was about to throw his towel to take a hot shower when the glass door abruptly slid apart.

"Ijin!" Who stood on the other side with a baffled expression was the mature landlady of the house. Her usual braided hair was left untied which gave her a tinge of sensual touch-up. Her pink one-piece night dress covered barely any of her inviting thighs not to talk about the deep cleavage which exposed most of the ripened fruit she carries. 

Ijin was thoroughly shocked as he got frozen at his place, of course, while checking his ajumma out, up to down.

The expression on Ajumma's face shifted from perplexed to blushing before she widened her eyes in worry.

She immediately came inside while gawking at Ijin's exposed upper body as her breathing choked in her throat.

"Ijin this...no first come with me to my room. Right now!" Before even letting him speak a single thing she pulled Ijin by his arm and dragged him toward her room. Ijin could have halted their pace any moment he wanted but the development was too sudden to get registered.

After making him sit on her bed which was unbelievably warm and comfortable, he felt his senses being overwhelmed by the fragrance of his ajumma all around. He didn't let his eyes wander inside her room which he visited for the first time and just gawked at the restless lady in front.

She soon came back with a first aid box in hand before commanding something which Ijin never have thought of hearing from his aunt.

"Take out that towel and lie on the bed, right now."
