Chapter 2: Prologue 1.2

After this brief and unpleasant moment, everything was explained to him by the "monks".

The people wearing the robes were not "monks", but in fact high-level magicians. Those magicians guided him to this place's main hall. There, he was granted an audition with the king and queen of the Ambrose Kingdom: Wicus and Aurelia Divus Ambrose.

As he entered the main hall, Hiroki could feel their warm welcoming, they both had a bright smile on their face. Wicus had a very warm, yet intimidating aura, it was obvious that he had been a king for a long time already.

Even though he wore a red and white, royal mantle, and was basically dressed just like the kings and emperors back on earth, his muscular body was clearly visible. His short, blonde hair and his long beard were a testify of wisdom. Queen Aurelia was charismatic, with golden hair tied up in a lace braid, smooth white skin, and breathtaking blue eyes. Also, she had these really big breas….

"Wait, wait, what am I thinking, this isn't important right now, I should focus on other things", was what Hiroki thought.

Anyways, during this audition he learned all kinds of important information about this world and the adventure that was awaiting him:

Ø  The Ambrose kingdom is a wealthy and big kingdom located in the middle of a continent called Dharna. Since the other kingdoms around Ambrose are rather poor, they rely on the support of the Ambrose Kingdom.

Ø  In the Ambrose kingdom live many different races peaceful together: Humans, elves, and demi-humans.

Ø  In this world, there exist demons who are trying to take over the world.

Ø  The demon kingdom is located in the east of the continent Dharna. But since Dharna is separated from the demon kingdom by the Unclimbable Summits and the desert, which is also known as the Wailing Wastelands, it's hard for the main army of demons to invade Dharna.

Ø  Every person has a status window, which displays the most important information about someone and also his skills, abilities, and level.

Ø  The skills have different grades. According to their rarity and power, and they are graded from E to A, with E being the lowest.

Ø  A status window looks something like this:

Ø  Also, this entire world is covered with so-called mana particles, which are invisible and allow people to use magic. The capacity of mana depends on the level of the person.

Ø  MP displays the capacity of mana.

Ø  Strength displays the physical strength (if a mage has low strength, it doesn't mean that his skills have low power, it shows one's physical strength, thus it is important for swordsmen or swordmages)

Ø  HP displays the health points, if they were to go to 0, the person dies.

Ø  And lastly, Hiroki's mission was to go on an adventure, level up his skills and stats, and defeat the demons and the demon lord.

So basically, it was just like a game. This fact relieved Hiroki, since due to his otaku-self, he already knew all the important strategies and his unique skill Appraisal [S] came in handy, since he could appraise his opponent's status and thus know if he could beat him or not.

'I guess this will be some kind of cheat ability plot… well, not that I mind.'

Two weeks later, Hiroki set off on a journey with three other people who were assigned to be his party members:

-          Livia, a 15-year-old girl, who is considered the beauty of the Ambrose Kingdom with her feminine curves and gold-blonde hair, the sign of royalty. She is the first princess of the Ambrose Kingdom. She specializes in swordsmanship and has a level of 44, making her quite strong.

-          Aemilius, 16 years old, has brown hair and is a very tall and muscular boy. He is so muscular that his physique is praised throughout the whole Kingdom. Aemilius is also a swordsman, though, with a level of 36 it makes him weaker than Livia. He considers himself her rival.

-          Callidus is an 18-year-old boy, he has grey hair and constantly wears a dark-blue robe. He sometimes can get really annoying. Callidus is a high-level mage with a level of 46 and specializes in fire and wind magic.

Together with those 3, he departed on his journey, where they cilled countless demons, in all the different Kingdoms, and after a five-year-long journey they had built up the courage to challenge the demon lord.

Demon Lord's Castle

The demon lord's castle was in the middle of the demon kingdom. To even get there, they spent several months killing each and every demon that came in their way. The castle was surrounded by a rotten forest. The trees looked lifeless, they had no leaves, and their branches would break at the slightest touch. Th whole forest was covered in a thick, white fog.

'What a scary atmosphere, better finish this quickly.'

As they went deeper into the forest, they saw the big castle. The castle itself looked already horrifying and intimidating with its small windows and jagged towers. Due to his high level, Hiroki was very sensitive when it comes to mana, thus he could feel the cries of the dead and constant magical pressure in the surrounding area.

He didn't let himself be distracted by these things and ordered the party to go inside. As they came to the throne room of the castle, they spotted who seemed to be the demon lord. The demon lord was a rather old geezer, but he still looked muscular, with his body covered in dragon-like scales and two majestic horns on top of his, in grey hairs covered, head, kept bragging about his strength and might but he ended up being killed by Hiroki after merely 3 hits.

'Wow… all this hard work for such a small fry as final boss… I'm speechless.'

With the subjugation of the demon lord, Hiroki's mission was finished, and he ended up being summoned back to earth.
