Chapter 11: Trust betrayed, Heart broken

A dark room POV

The masked god looked up, smiling, at the chained woman on the altar.

"Soon, my love... The vessel is growing, and soon she will arrive here... Once my Servants move, She will have no choice."

<You are a psychpath, Xzard. Or whatever name you use now>

"Ah, your mental voice is as lovely as ever... hmm... i suppse i should tell you the name ive chosen. Xzard Mephis Highfall. Your Future Husband and Master."

The room and its contents faded... and Xzards voice echoed... "Time to work, Boys!"

Lexi POV, 6 months after the rescue mission.

Flirting is fun. Let me explain. Hannah Rojas seemed to have a crush on me, and i was made aware of this... so i started attempting to flirt with her, and we both ended up Tomatoed... Every single time... Around two weeks ago, she FINALLY got the nerve to ask me on a date... And since then its been nonstop flirting... There hadn't been an attack in months, and life was good... Until the explosions started. Hannah and I were flirting in the halls, it was Saturday, so no school... when the base shook. Heading toward the hangar, alarms blaring, we found Erin and Levi... I was scared, and Levi hugged me.

"Calm down, Lexi, we'll be safe, i promise... no-one here will be hurt, we just need to get to the hangar." 

I nodded, trusting my stepbrother. It took 30 minutes to reach the hangar, and we ran in to find Court, badly wounded... Erin ran to check him.

"FUCK! There's... Theres nothing i can do..." I Had dashed forward too, and saw it... A gaping hole where his stomach should be... Court was dying... He grabbed my hand, and pulled me close... and whispered something... my face went pale. I slowly turned around, and locked eyes with Levi... who had an odd device in his hand... he pressed it to his chest, and golden armor encased his body,flowing like water from the device until...

He suddenly looked like one of the abominations we'd been fighting

"Why?"

"Because that mask bastard in the mask has mom! When he brought is here, he told me to infiltrate and destroy the 13 mechs, or mom dies." He pressed a button... and a strange pulse shot out... 10 of the 13 mechs were destroyed... in one blast... parts of them began gravitating around levi... and absorbed into him... his body began to warp...

"I... Have to... save... mom... I'm... Sorry... GGGRRRRRAAAAAOOOOOON!" his flesh split, expanding, tearing the roof of the hangar off with its new mass... as i watched, horrified, it shifted, darkening... until a monstrous flying Orca, with tentacles sprouting from its body, hovered in front of us... the masked man appeared, standing on his head...

"KUHAHAHAHAHAHAHA! EXCELLENT! REALLY LIVING UP TO YOUR NAME, EH, LEVIATHAN? LISTEN UP, LITTLE FOX! YOU AND YOUR MECH, AND ANY OTHER SURVIVING MECH, WILL GO TO MOUNT CRIMSON... PREPARE TO SURRENDER TO ME AT THAT TIME. DO THIS, AND I'LL SPARE YOUR DEAR LEVI, HIS MOTHER, AND YOUR ORIGINAL WORLD!"

He began to charge some kind of blast, his hands glowing... but the Leviathan creature Levi had become started to flee. He kept his promise that none of us three would die here... But the war was over. We had lost. our base was badly damaged, most of our weapons were gone, And so many died... even Court... That was a week ago, and i was still mourning... And on that day, when court's body was laid in the ground, i made a vow, a promise... I WILL KILL THAT MASKED GOD! Even if I must die myself to do so.
