Long Sijue ordered the kitchen to make an exquisite fruit platter and deliver it to Su Qianxun’s room. Eating fruits was not an issue for her. Before bedtime, Huan Huan brought her a glass of milk.
The good thing was, she did not vomit this time. After she finished the milk, Su Qianxun felt very sleepy, so she lay down and fell asleep.
At midnight, she sensed that someone had put his arms around her again. Long Sijue kissed her on the lips and closed his eyes in relief.
…..
When Tang Zui returned to the hospital, Gu Mian was lying by her father’s bed. She was already asleep. He furrowed his eyebrows slightly. Of all three of the children in the Gu family, Gu Mian was the most responsible one. She had been taking care of her father on her own for the past few days.
Tang Zui went over to the bedside and lifted her up. He then turned around and laid her down on the couch. He even found a blanket and put it over her.
Once he was done tucking her in, Tang Zui left the room to make a call.
When he went out, he ran into Gu Yan. He nodded at the girl expressionlessly and was about to walk away.
“Tang Zui, do you still remember me?” Gu Yan was waiting for him outside the room on purpose. She hoped to run into him by chance and have a word with him in private.
Tang Zui furrowed his eyebrows and stared at her. He said, “You should call me brother-in-law!”
Hearing that, Gu Yan was rather dejected. “You and my older sister are already divorced. Why would I call you brother-in-law?”
She did not want to call him her brother-in-law at all.
“Who was the one who told you that we’re divorced? We’re very happy together!” Tang Zui said and was about to leave.
Gu Yan could not believe what he said. “Do you remember me, then?”
Tang Zui was confused.
“You’re my wife’s younger sister. How could I not remember you?” Tang Zui thought that this girl was behaving very strangely.

“I…”
Gu Yan was just about to tell him that he had saved her before, but Tang Zui had already stridden off. He did not intend to continue their conversation at all.
Gu Yan was quite disappointed as she watched Tang Zui leave. She opened the door and walked into the ward. Due to anger, she was rather aggressive and rude when she opened the door. Gu Mian was jolted awake.
“Yan’er, why are you here?” Gu Mian sat up and rubbed her eyes. She was slightly puzzled and wondering how she got onto the couch.
“This is father’s ward. Why can’t I come here? Are you the only person allowed to be here?” Due to her bad mood, Gu Mian sounded rather brusque and irritable.
Gu Mian gazed at her younger sister. “What’s going on with you? Are you in a bad mood?
“No, you should go. I’ll keep father company tonight.” Gu Yan thought that Tang Zui might come back.
Gu Mian was dumbfounded.
“Are you sure?”
“Of course I am sure. You should get going now. Go home and get some sleep!” Gu Yan urged her older sister to leave.
Gu Mian was puzzled by her insistence.
Considering that there was nothing much to do at night and all Gu Yan would need to do was to call the nurse if something happened to their father, Gu Mian decided to go home first and let her younger sister stay here for the night.
When Gu Mian left the ward, she heard Tang Zui’s voice. She could see him talking on the phone from afar. Gu Mian instantly thought that she ought to sneak away without being noticed by him.
However, the moment she overheard Tang Zui mentioning Su Qianxun’s miscarriage, she stopped in her tracks abruptly.
Gu Mian immediately dashed towards Tang Zui. Hearing the footsteps, Tang Zui quickly turned around. When he saw the petite woman who was running towards him, he immediately said to the person on the other end of the line, “That is it. You’ll have to excuse me. I have something else to attend to.”
“What did you just say? Qianxun had a miscarriage? Since when?” Gu Mian stood in front of the man and glared at him as she questioned him.
“Gu Mian, before you speak, shouldn’t you realize whom you’re speaking to?” Tang Zui suddenly stretched his arm and threw it around her neck. He then dragged her towards the hospital entrance.
