The four brothers remained silent grasping their weapons tightly, listening to the sounds outside which got harder with the increasing winds.
"Ronell" "yes" "There should be an opening try and scout with your ravens and see how many men are out there". Arthor gave an order to his younger brother after regaining his calm, the men had shot at Ronell's ravens when he had tried to scout earlier with him barely withdrawing his mind from the bird before it died.
Watching with another raven though Ronell was able to see them relax just a tad, which Arthor attributed to the men still underestimating them. The men were pissed that was a fact after all they had killed some of them, but that was not enough to fully clear away the fact that they still saw us as just boys.
Their views might have changed a bit with the reveal that they had a warg amongst them, but they definitely did not expect Ronell to be able to control a whole flock of ravens. Benjen moved in close to watch over Ronell's body as he began to warg once more, in his raven Ronell kept his distance while keeping watch over the men who were vigorously searching around and getting closer with each men.
Obtaining their information, he was not quick to return but began to fly around making sure there were no others he had missed allowing him to see a man who was rushing back to the village and speaking to someone. Ronell did not fly in close to hear what they said, but returned back to his brothers telling them what he had seen knowing all to well that time was not on their side.
Arthor hearing Ronell's report gave a nod to the others before speaking, "you heard what he said, sixteen men. We are not sneaking around anymore we are taking down these men and we are doing it fast before the others can arrive, understand", the boys put on their battle faces and stared back into Arthor's eyes.
"Good, Ronell" hearing his name Ronell simply got into a relaxed sitting positing with his eyes turning pure white.
Outside the cave, three men drew ever so close to the entrance of the cave. One of them took notice of the rocks which looked out of place and tried to have a better look but stopped and looked to the sky when he heard what seemed to be a caw. He was not alone in his actions as the other two also looked to the sky.
They saw a bunch of ravens led by a one eyed raven, who rushed down at them with unbridled fury. The men let out a screams trying to drive away the ravens who clawed at them, as well as ripped out their eyeballs.
The three brothers with Benjen leading the charge burst through the stones which hid the entrance and charged straight at the men. Benjen was quick to swing his sword, first beheading one of the screaming men before moving to another who he knocked down with his pummel, "Aaargh!" taking note of the cries behind him Benjen moved around directing the enemies sword away from himself before plunging it into the man's heat and then proceeding to draw out the sword and thrust it into the base of the neck of the other man who tried to make it back to his feet.
The other two did not remain idle during Benjen's battle but rather rather rushed to meet the other's who had been drawn due to screams of the other three. Lothor was nimble enough to avoid an arrow which flew right past his head and met the enemies head on.
Lothor quickly shifted his axe before sending it right between the legs of one of the men causing him to let out a blood curling scream as he dropped to his knees, unfazed by it all Lothor performed a spin and sliced at the legs of his enemies bringing them down to his level before proceeding to behead them in a manner nearly identical to his training.
The ravens not yet gone from the battle field headed for the archers, pecking into them and tearing at their flesh preventing them from joining the battle to aid their comrades. Arthor followed after Lothor, with axe in one hand and sword in the other. He moved in deftly blocking an attack aimed towards Lothor with his sword before sending his axe into the man's throat sending blood splattering over his face.
Not staying with one opponent long, Arthor quickly spun around another opponent who swung a battle axe towards himself. This allowed for him to catch another man unprepared as he sent his axe into the man with the force behind it sending him straight to the ground with Arthor changing his grip over his sword into a reverse grip before shoving it into the back of his assailant.
The battle was quick but brutal with the only one among them to take some damage being Benjen. Gathering all the loot they could Arthor put Ronell on his back before the began to sprint abandoning the bloody scene and quickly heading further down the mountain before the reinforcements arrived.
With this battle however the boys were all sure of one thing, they were definitely improving.
