Harwood sat in a cage, with all his remaining limbs chained up. His armor had been ripped of leaving in clothes that barely kept away the cold Skagossi winds.

His eyes narrowed as he watched the men and women who had attacked him dance around the flames merrily.

His eyes moved to one of the women who was gently feeding her child who could not be more than four name days old. The whole scene left him feeling conflicted, as on the one hand they reminded him of the times when his family was whole and safe.

On the other hand rage burned deep within him as he what they were devouring and celebrating were his slain comrades.

It was not as though he was a stranger to the practice, his tribe had once engaged in it winter's past when they had run out of food and were starving but that didn't lessen his rage as he watched the men and women devour his slain comrades with smiles on their faces.

As the fires weakened and the noise died out, Harwood looked through the bars to the barely visible moon in the sky, his mind drifting back to the old days when he fought in raids against other tribes and sometimes those pompous Lord's.

A smile began to form on his face when he thought of the fierce lady he had taken as his wife before the weirwood tree, but failed to fully form as his reality hit him once more.

Here he sat, in a cage, chained like some common animal his family no more, without his sword arm. He looked to where his right arm once was, with the scowl on his face deepening.

The bastards had treated the wound, 'didn't want their food getting infected' they said. "It seems I will be seeing you soon Osha, my dear wife" Harwood muttered to himself ready to close his eyes ready to sleep when he took notice of a one eyed raven.

The raven flew into the tribe drawing no attention from the men who were barely sober  after the amount of mead they had downed.

The raven flew around it's eye constantly moving, so much so it gave Harwood the impression it was looking for something. They locked eyes and the raven surprisingly came to a halt before flying towards him staring at him for a whole minute before flying off.

The eye of the raven lingered in Harwood's mind for a while due to the intelligence he was sure hid behind that eye. He thought the raven might belong to the skin changers of this tribe as he knew his captors to have three of them but soon cast out this thought as he remembered the to take the minds of three dogs as ferocious as wolves.

The raven after disappearing returned with a flock and cast out the thought of a warg being behind this, as Harwood had never heard of a warg able to control so many Ravens.

The ravens soon gathered on the roofs of the tribes resident skin changers. They remained silent causing the silent village to quickly gain an eerie feeling.

The Ravens rushed into the huts at once with such speed Harwood almost missed it. Screams soon resounded from the huts attracting the attention of all in the village.

The people began to pour out of the huts none fully clothed and clearly grabbing the weapon closest to them. All eyes were on the three huts with their grips tightening on their weapons, on of the huts entrances burst open as a woman burst as naked as the day she was born.

Her skin was dyed red with blood with her face missing both her eyes which caused her to trip and stumble as he screamed out for help. None of the people took a step forward though as they focused on her body which had clearly experienced hellish torture.

Parts of her were ripped off, with one of her tits gone and a gaping hole in her side, combined with her ghastly screams it was terrifying sight indeed. As she breath her last, the attention of the men moved to the clear perpetrators, the Ravens who were now dyed a blood red.

They silently flapped their wings, seemingly relishing in the blood that was all over them. All was silent for but a few moments when dozens of Ravens rushed out of all the three tents taking off towards the fire in the midst of camp.

As they flew through the flames the people finally noticed that each of the Ravens carried something in their mouths, and their actions were simply to light these things.

With these actions complete the Ravens took to the sky once before flying towards the huts and setting them ablaze. The tribes people finally snapped into action screaming to put out the fire, with some of the women rushing into the rapidly growing fires to rescue their children who laid within.

And Harwood who sat in his cage watching all this happen had his eyes wide opened wondering, 'Just what in the name of the old gods was happening'.
