Lothor held on to Ronell who tried his hardest to hold back the tears which were threatening to spill from the corners of his eyes.

Lothor had led Ronell here earlier that day, they had come to play warriors as they had done so many times, but as they were engrossed in their game the sound of a horn was heard.

The tales their mothers had told time played in each of the children's minds. Some of the kids quickly began to run back to the village while others quickly attempted to find places to hide. Lothor had decided to run back to the village as well but came to a halt when he realized Ronell was no longer at his side.

"Ronell!" Lothor began to call out for his brother, he searched until he found him hidden within a tree which had a hole in its trunk just big enough for Ronell to hide in. With a lot of convincing and I mean a lot, Lothor had managed to convince Ronell to climb out.

Grasping his younger brother's hand firmly in his own, Lothar turned to the direction where their village was located planning to find any member of his family as he believed they would be able to protect them. As he did so however he took notice of the pillars of smoke that continued to rise from the village.

His faith in his brothers wavered for a moment but his trust in them won out in the end. He quickly began to lead his brother back to the village when the sound of screams from ahead found it's way to them. His eyes widened as his skin paled and he even began to tremble, all this came to a halt however when he felt his brother's hand tighten its grip over his own.

Turning to look at his younger brother, Ronell continued to stare ahead with his eyes constricted as though he could already see the enemies coming in chopping them and feasting on their flesh. His skin had gone completely white with his whole body shivering uncontrollably.

'Damn it, Damn it all I'm his big brother how can I be scared when he needs me. I need to be strong like Benjen, brave like Arthor I can't cower like a babe a son of Harwood does not cower' psyching himself Lothor turned to Ronell.

"Oi Ronell" Ronell who was now absolutely terrified by the images his brain had conjured turned to his brother at that moment his fear dissipated for a brief moment. Lothor looked into his and had a large grin which reminded Ronell of his other brother Arthor.

That was same look Arthor would show them before going on to do something others claimed was impossible. "Don't worry about anything okay because as long as I'm here no one can hurt you"

*sniff* "mm" Ronell responded with a nod, "Good come on follow me" holding on to Ronell tightly the two began to sprint back to where Ronell had hidden earlier. "Go on, hurry enter" Lothor spoke up trying to get his brother back in the hole, Ronell obediently began to make his way in but came to a halt once he realized something and turned to face his older brother.

"What. What is it?" Lothor questioned, as he looked at Ronell confused as to why he had suddenly stopped. "What about you?" Ronell asked, his question caused Lothor's confident façade cracked a little when he heard that question. Trying his hardest not to let his real feelings show.

"Don't worry about me I found another place to hide, now come on hurry up" Ronell gave a nod before entering the hole. Lothor spent a few more seconds to truly make sure Ronell was hidden before running back to where they had head the harrowing screams.

As he got closer the sounds of battle as well as the screams got louder, deafening even bit they were soon drowned out by his heartbeat. The Rythimic sound was all he could hear as he continued to Sprint forward only coming to a screeching halt when he laid eyes on an invader.

The invader wore a helmet with two horns on the side shaped like the bull creatures Arthor spoke of in his tales. He was covered in a thick fur coat made from unicorn hair with a sword which was covered in blood which had yet to dry.

Focusing on his face, Lothor saw the drool as well as look in his eyes when they're eyes met. Lothor was familiar with that look and how could he not be after all that was the look he had whenever they would eat meat.

Lothor quickly turned around and began to ran as fast as his legs would allow, not in the direction he came from however but in a new one altogether. The invader began to chase after him just as he expected, at this point Lothor only had two thoughts.

To draw the invader away from Ronell which had succeeded, and praying to the old gods that any member of his family would find him to help but if they didn't... if they didn't... Lothor knew the words but no matter how much he claimed to be a warrior, truth was he was still a child who feared death and could not utter those words.

Lothor let out heavy breaths as his lack of stamina was beginning to get to him, *thud* he had tripped of a stone causing him to fall face first and roll over.

His eyes landed on the invader who now stood over him with a wide grin, revealing all the teeth he had left.

Their attention shifted however when the heard a loud shout. They both looked to the source at the same time allowing for them to see Arthor who was running towards them.

Arthor seeing he wouldn't be able to make it pulled out an axe from behind and got into a throwing position Lothor had never seen before letting the axe loose.
