Chapter 1: Prologue

I found myself in an unfamiliar forest rich with plant life.

There I found a cave leading underground in-front of me.

I reached for my hat and I stand up as I wore it. I was Confused to where and how did I get here. Then, a voice spoke to me:

“Come forward”

…

I blacked out for a moment and when I woke I was inside of the cave.

My body was walking on its own and is descending down further. I was not in control.

I feel as if my body is under a spell.

I kept trying to move my body but it kept on walking.

Nearing the end of the cave, light grew as I come closer. I saw a mysterious hooded man besides a pedestal with a pillow on top of it with a weird red ring laying on top.

The cave seems to end here on this room. The whole space is being illuminated by a single torch on the wall.

“… huh?”

The hooded man spoke with a surprised tone.

“What’s a child doing here?”

“Eep!”

I let out a sound similar to a squirrel.

My body collapsed onto the floor as the hooded man walked towards me. I realized that I had finally taken control of my body again though I had frozen up.

As the hooded man came closer to me, the opening entrance to the cave had been sealed.

I had nowhere to go and I’m now stuck here with the mysterious hooded man who I presume is going to kill me.

The hooded man came closer and stare at my clothing. I think he is examining me.

“A city-boy, huh. Where is your guide?

“My what?”

I replied confused as I am.

“A guide?’

“Yes, a guide.”

I was bewildered. I had no idea what he is talking about.

He looked at me with confusion but after A few seconds, he looked at me. His expression indicates he understood what the situation was.

“I’m guessing you don’t have one, correct?”

“I think so…”

“You think so… huh. So I’m guessing you came here on your own, right?”

“I….. Maybe.”

“hmmmm….. Where is your Navistone compass?”

“My Navistone compass?”

“Yes your Navistone compass.”

“…”

The hooded man looked confused as I am. Wondering about something, he asked me a question:

“Do you know what a Navistone compass is?”

Scared as I was, I didn’t know what would happen if I said I didn’t know what that is and how I ended up here. I mustered up my courage and said “No.”

The hooded man paused for a bit, then asked me a question again.

“Then how did you get here?”

“I-“

I was about to speak but then I heard a voice calling to me.

“Come forward”

I looked on the direction I thought the voice had come from but there was nothing there other than the pedestal.

The hooded man was confused. He looked at the pedestal where I was looking at too.

My body, once again moved on its own, I walked myself near the pedestal.

“What are you doing?” said the hooded man.

My hand reached out onto the ring while the voice on my head kept getting louder while repeating the two words it’s been asking me.

I was stopped by the hooded man by grabbing my reaching arm as I was about to grab the ring from the pedestal.

“I said, what are you doing?”

I had regain control over my body again as I slowly lax out.

I replied: “I don’t know.”

“You don’t know?”

“Yes, my body seems to have moved on its own.”

“…”

He let go of my hand and said: “Interesting.” Following up with:

“Hey, tell me. Have you been hearing a strange voice?”

I answered: “Yes.”

He paused for a moment. Looked at me and then paused again.

“Not exactly what I was expecting.”

“Huh?”

He looked at me again and he smiled and laughed, patted me on the head and said:

“Kid, there’s someth-“

As he was about to talk about something I presume to be important, we were met with a bright red light being emitted from the ring on the pedestal.

As I was unsteadily walking away, the light grew brighter and brighter.

The light engulfed the room and the next thing I know….

 

I woke up in my own bed in my room.
