Chapter 3: Chapter 3 – Origin Church – Fairy Bookstore

“Cathy, I’ve already exchanged the money.”

Peter shook the two cloth pouches with one hand and interrupted the two twittering girls. The two girls were embarrassed and stopped their little chit-chat. Cathy gave an awkward smile and said goodbye to her friend. Lilac waved her left hand and trotted back to V who was still watching at them with a smile.

Looking at Lilac who returned to her seat, V said softly, “I told you many times to act like a lady, Lilac. Heroic men would not like a childish girl who forgets everything when she meets her friends.”

Lilac pouted, “I got it. But V, isn’t Cathy the same? What do you think about her? Will she succeed in chasing her charming prince?”

V tapped Lilac’s forehead and laughed softly, “Can Cathy be the same as you? She is a very smart girl. Moreover, she knows when to take initiative. Moreover, I saw small clouds of fortune starting to gather over their heads. They get a bright and noble future.”

Then, she sat back on her chair lazily and picked up her phone. V said in a soft voice, “You lazy girl. If not for your extraordinary fortune, I am lazy to take care of you. Take Cathy as example. Expand your knowledge and set a goal. Your sister, I, will not be able to take care of you all the time.”

Lilac didn’t hear it as her attention was drawn on her phone’s screen where a spin was going on. Then, she shouted happily, “Grand prize again! Praise you great Fortuna.”

After hearing it, V on the side smiled warily. She has to say that extraordinary luck is really great.

On the other side, Peter and Chester were lead by Cathy into another room. After entering the door again, they saw a big hall full of bookshelves. Although they had prepared their mind after reading the name “Fairy Bookstore” carved on the door, they were still amazed to see it with their eyes. Cathy smiled and introduced, “This is the only bookstore you can find. You can find many books here. It is run by flower fairies. Of course, you cannot find ancient books with advanced knowledge here. However, you can still buy knowledge under tier four. Yea, these knowledge are very expensive.”

Then, she paused as a small fairy flew over towards them. Cathy said, “Look, that is a flower fairy. They are cute and peace-loving creatures. In the rumors, it is said that flower fairies are protected by Lord of Death.”

Peter asked suddenly, “What do you mean by the tiers you said? Can you explain about it?”

Cathy patted her forehead and said funnily, “Eh! I forgot that you guys had no idea about that. In a book I had read, I saw an interesting classification of strength. It is proposed by an ancient powerhouse who loves to write books. He said that there should be nine tiers although only four were mentioned in his book. They are tier one; power realm or extraordinary powerhouse, tier two; true soul powerhouse, tier three; extreme or transcendence realm powerhouse and finally, tier four; demi-god. Tier one powerhouse has already evolved and owned a strong personal strength. Basically, formal tier one powerhouse has at least ten tons of physical power or already opened up mana pool in his body. He can live at least 500 standard years or even more.”

Then she paused and said to the small fairy flying in front of them, “I am sorry, Daisy. Can I continue my explanation?”

Small fairy named Daisy said in a sweet voice which could be clearly heard by everyone at the scene, “I don’t have any problem. You can continue, Cathy. Knowledge favors the people who spread the knowledge they know. This is a sacred cause.”

Then, she flew over to a nearby bookshelf and sat on a book at ease. After seeing Daisy took a random seat, Cathy smiled and continued talking, “Only the powerhouse who has already condensed his true soul can be called tier two or true soul realm powerhouse. They can reincarnate into what they want after death of their physical body. Their attacks are also mixed with their unique soul power and it makes the injured or wounded person hard to cure unless the mixed soul powers were cleared out. In a gossip, it is said that true soul realm powerhouse can evade law enforcement of underworld as long as they can find a new body in time. Scary, isn’t it? After all, no one will know whether your familiar person’s physical body was taken away by true soul realm powerhouse or not.”

After saying it, Cathy paused a bit as she became thirsty. She took out a water bottle from her handbag and took several sips. She didn’t put it back. While holding the bottle in one hand, she continued, “Tier three, I don’t know much but it is said they have half-immortal body and have power to easily destroy a city. About tier four, demi-god, there are even few knowledge about them. Demi-god powerhouse has already formed his unique divine power and immortal body. They can destroy a country as long as they try their best. That is all I know. So, I warn you not to run as long as you meet tier three, no, run as long as you meet tier two powerhouse.”

Only then, Peter and Chester realized how dangerous they were in the previous struggle. That tier three ,who Cathy mentioned, might be playing with them. Otherwise, they wouldn’t even know how they died. Thinking of their bodies being taken away, chills climbed up their body and they suddenly sweated.

Cathy looked at Chester and smiled softly. She said, “Come on, I can recommend several books which contain the knowledge you would need. They would help you guys a lot in your future journey.”

Then, she said to Daisy, “Daisy, can you get them a copy of ‘Basic Knowledge about Human Body’, ‘Various Things in Our World’, ‘How to Purify One Hundred Evils’, ‘Introduction into Grand Tera’, ‘Influences of Tera’ and ‘Basic Apprentice Knight Training Manuel’.”

Cathy looked back at the two men and said, “You are paying, right?”

Peter nodded in agreement. After all, he can’t just let her pay for them. He is a smart man. When he heard the teasing of Lilac about Cathy being their recommender, he already realized that they were already owing her a favor.

They saw that Daisy was muttering something and raising her one hand as if she was summoning something. If they owned extraordinary hearing, they would hear her saying ‘Basic Knowledge about Human Body, come, come. Various things in our world, come, come. ...’ Then, they saw several books with a thickness of at least two inches each flew over. The books were floating in front of the two men magically and it brought amazement and great impact to their world’s view. Cathy walked forwards a few steps and took over the books. After confirming the names, she nodded and asked, “How much?”

Daisy thought for a while and said, “20 gold coins in total. The first five books are only two gold coins each. The last book costs ten gold coins.”

Cathy nodded and said, “Reasonable price.”

Then, she looked at Peter and the latter immediately opened the smaller cloth pouch and took out the gold coins inside. He counted and asked foolishly while putting them on his opened palm, “Where shall I put them?”

That was not his fault. After all, Daisy is only one slap size and she was still sitting on a book. However, Peter forgot about the magical scene he just saw. His brain was short-circuit for a while.

Daisy just pointed at the gold coins and said, “Gold coins, come, come.”

Stacked gold coins flew over to the front of Daisy. Daisy took the small pouch from her belt and opened it towards the gold coins while the latter became smaller and flew into the bag. When the last gold coin got into her small pouch made of unknown leather, Daisy drew the string and closed it again before she hung it on her belt again. After making a successful business, Daisy became happy and said, “Cathy, do you want to buy some more books? I can give you ten percent discount.”

Cathy smiled and immediately said, “I want one copy of Formal Sun Knight training manual.”

When Daisy saw the smile of Cathy, she felt bad. Then, she summoned the book and turned her little head to the other side while making unhappy face. Cathy took over the book and said as she took out a sealed bottle from her handbag, “Blue Orchid nectar, my apology for you. Don’t be unhappy. Your monthly quota is quite useless since few people come to buy books.”

Daisy turned her head and looked. When she saw the small sealed bottle, she smiled sweetly and said happily, “You know I love you, Cathy. It is my favorite Blue Orchid nectar again. Emm, ya, one hundred and eighties gold coins for the book.”

Cathy took out a checkbook and a fountain pen case. After taking out her favorite purple fountain pen, she wrote down the exact amount on the blank check and signed her signature. She tore it and handed it over to Daisy who just put the sealed bottle into her small pouch. She said goodbye to flower fairy Daisy in excuse of having to show around the two men. As they went out, Daisy also flew back to her little nest. She is going to taste the nectar. Umm, that sweetness, the taste of home. Daisy even sang unknown lyrics which sounded very beautiful while flying and dancing.
