On the street around the traffic circle, various things were casually piled evenly. Almost all of them were wooden furniture. Four lines extended along the four streets of four directions with the traffic circle as the center. Over all, it just looked like the symbol of sun from the above. The bell tower was a core.
Peter walked around with a fuel tank and poured the gasoline over them. After pouring down the gasoline over the final section of the last line, he remembered something and looked up at the sky.
A dark cloud was slowly moving towards their place. Peter felt bad and immediately rushed back to the bell tower. As for the fuel tank, he simply just dropped it at somewhere.
In the mid way, a big and long knight sword appeared in his hand. Ben and others were standing around the traffic circle and constantly clearing the emerging threats. Peter nodded slightly at Mark and walked to the bell tower. He understood that they got no time.
Mark aimed and shot at the already prepared fuel tank among the piled wooden furniture. There was still some gasoline left in the fuel tank. As the bullet penetrated, ignition happened and the flames spread.
Immediately, the raging flame symbol of sun appeared around the traffic circle. Peter stood in front of the entrance of the bell tower just right under it. He stabbed the sword effortlessly into the concrete sidewalk and did a standard half kneeling while taking off the helmet. He drew the symbol of sun with forefinger on the broad and thick chest armor plate and prayed devoutly while holding the helmet with the other hand.
“Great Eternal Sun God. You rules over all light. You are the symbol of mercy, the symbol of sacredness. You represent the untaintable holiness. The evershining sun. The origin of life. The light which breaks the darkness.
I am your loyal guard, the shield that defends the evil from endangering your children, the sword that cuts down all the evil regardless of their identities.
Noblest existence in the sea of stars, the source of light and the origin of life, merciful Eternal Sun God. I pray for your sight.
I pray for your protection.
I pray for your empowerment.
I pray that you will bless us.
I pray for your holy power. I pray for your sacred blessing to fight against the incoming evils.
Through the sun, I pray for your blessing and your power.
Come forth, the holy guardian!”
As the last sentence was sounded, a mysterious energy silently triggered the invisible several laws and a chain reaction occurred invisibly. The sun light and nearby all free positive energies were gathered almost visibly. A small sphere appeared above the top of bell tower and a tiny ray of brightly shining light shined to the sky. At the high sky, another small light sphere was formed at the end of the ray and started to continuously absorb the sun lights.
The half spherical light curtain was slowly formed by mysterious orders. It was nearly thirty meters high and nearly thirty meters in radius. It was so big that even half of the buildings around were covered up by the light curtain. And in fact, another half spherical light curtain also appeared under the depth of the ground. It was just not many people could see it.
It was a miracle and also a magical scene.

Inside the silent big freezer which went power-off a long time ago due to the first super earthquake, a little girl, who seemed to be only four years old, was counting her fingers in the dark. She was curling up in the corner. There were various packaged foods, bottled water, several small portable oxygen cans and two flashlights were placed neatly around her. But one can only see their dim outlines in the darkness.
After counting to thirty, she slowly put the face cover of small portable oxygen can on her mouth and nose. Then, she pressed the button hard. She took a deep breathe and put it down. She started counting again.
Flora didn’t understand many things but she remembered what her mother told her to do. And that had been repeating for a while. But her mother seemed to forget her. Flora felt sad and she wanted to go out. What would Flora do if Mommy didn’t want her anymore.
After staying inside for a period of time, the little girl became anxious. But she remembered that her mother reminded her to not come out unless she came back to pick her up.
However, the outside had been silent for some times. For a little girl who was waiting quietly in the darkness, time seemed to have passed for a long time. Suddenly, she heard a sound of door opening.
Flora was excited and enjoyed. She forgot her mother’s reminder to wait for the call and excitedly pushed out the freezer cover while trying to stand up.
It was her mother. But she was not herself anymore. She came back to her room according to instinct and retained memories. Unexpectedly, Flora stood up and now her vitality was sensed by the mother who became the strange corpse.
Although she tried to guard the narrow staircase passage of their building with the other neighbors by using various things they could find, they still failed in fighting against those strange corpses who retained most abilities of normal human beings before they became one of the strange corpses.
“Mom?”, asked Flora. She didn’t realize that her mother was different under the dim light of the room. However, fate didn’t give up Flora. Light flashed across the dim room and the light curtain passed through them. Flora seemed to see the relief smile of her mother. But at the next moment, her mother quickly turned into fine ashes just in front of her eyes. Flora didn’t understand what was happening.
She felt that everything happened was just illusion. She sat down again, covered the freezer cover back and decided to do as her mother said and wait for her.
Half of their four story retro style building was included in the scope of light sphere and Flora’s room was protected unexpectedly. It was unknown whether Flora’s mother would choose to stay with her daughter if she foresaw this. Unfortunately, the past cannot be happened again normally.
There were not many people who were still alive at the buildings suddenly covered by the spherical light curtain. Beside little girl Flora, only a coward man who was hiding in the tall fridge survived. Several other strange corpses who were still slowly wandering in these buildings were instantly purified by the light curtain when it passed through them. For these, Peter didn’t know. His guys didn’t know about it either.
Now, they were standing together and staring tightly at the dark cloud slowly moving towards their place in the sky through the magical light curtain.
Under the underground bunker, Jordon tried to touch the light curtain which suddenly appeared in the middle of narrow corridor. He felt warmth. It didn’t hurt his finger. He didn’t feel the burning feeling either.
Suddenly, Jordon remembered the reminder of armored man Peter. He was wondered why that dude told him to stay inside a certain radius. Twenty? Thirty? Jordon couldn’t remember. He forgot the distance. But all of these didn’t matter anymore because Jordon believed that the man might have wanted him to stay inside the light curtain.
Thinking of the crowd who already went forward, Jordon felt bad and rushed into the depth of the corridor. He got to call them back quickly before something bad happened. Otherwise, he would be regretted to death.
Above the ground, Peter finally saw the appearance of the marching corpses as they arrived at nearly two hundred meters distance from them. Looking at the floating big coffin surrounded by dark mists, everyone in the team became extremely worried. Their instincts were telling them continuously that they would die if they went and fought against the guy in the coffin. That feeling was terrible.
