Chapter 1: I’m a Girl?

Ayo's eyes snapped open as he immediately sat up from his bed, his internal clock telling him that it was time to get up and head for school. He grimaced at the aches and pains he was feeling and deduced he must have pushed himself too hard during physical education. Forcing himself to his feet despite his body's protest, he nearly lost his balance and leaned against the nightstand for support.

'What was that? Did I really push myself too hard from playing football?'

The notion seemed ridiculous, but he had no other explanation for his inability to stand up straight other than he was sick which he wasn't. On shaky legs, he wobbled over to his closet and opened the door to retrieve his school uniform. The moment he saw himself in the mirror at the other hand of the closet he froze.

Reflected in the mirror was him and not him at the same time.

He still had sea green hair that reached down to his hips and dark goldenrod eyes. His brown skin hadn't suddenly changed into a different shade of brown or become light like foreigners. His height hadn't changed either nor did he appear to have lost or gained any weight mysteriously over night.

What had changed, however, were the two lumps slightly poking out the front of his dark blue pajamas shirt. The unusual feature was so minimal that it would have been easy to miss at first glance if not for his keen eyes that his parents loved to praise about to the rest of the family whenever they had a family gathering.

Touching the lumps with both hands, he noted a slight discomfort when he squeezed them. It was hard to determine what they were based on touch, but he had a passing thought they might be his breasts before tossing it into the trash where it belonged.

'My breasts? Ridiculous. I'm a boy. There's no way I could have breasts like a girl.'

As if to reassure himself, he tugged his pajama shirt over his head. He pushed his long hair out of his face and looked back at the mirror. Staring right back at him were two small breasts on his chest.
