I am awake again, I have to figure out who Helen is, and who is the other member of her family. I am not going to lie, I feel like I am stealing this child’s little body. The problem is, I don’t know a thing about this world or where the hell am I. I just pop into this child's body and I don’t know what to do next.

“Rachel, what happens to your sister?” My mother asks.

“I don’t know, mom, she acts a little bit strange,” Rachel says.

“Well, the carriage hits her head hard,” My mother says. “Must have been some memory loss.”

A little child like me got hit by a carriage and is still alive? Why can’t I get this durable body in my old fragile body that turns into minced meat once it gets hit by an armored vehicle driven by some idiotic private that just got its driving license?

Rachel then stood right beside me in the mirror. I looked way smaller than her. The only difference between my sister and I is that my sister didn’t have any halo while I do have one. Who has the halo, though, my father? I look like an angel and wolfkin hybrid with very white hair. I am not complaining though.

“Mother, can you open Helen’s status, I just feel that something is off about her,” Rachel says. Did I just raise a red flag in their mind? And what is about this status window that they just spoke about? Is this a game or something? Probably, it isn’t. Still, I feel that something is not quite right.

My mother then put her hand right on my temple then she whispered, "open mine child general status."

[Helen]

Race: Angelic Wolf-kin

Level: 1

HP: 60%

MP: 100%

Class: [Materialmancer]

Skill: [Material Manipulation I]

General Health Status: [Abdominal Puncture] [Moderate Blood Loss] [Pain] [Concussion]

[Quest]

“Nothing is unusual, my dear, your sister is better than yesterday,” My mother says.

How old am I? If I were younger than my sister, I should be around 10 years old at this point, judging by my height and how my sister looks like a junior high school student. Wait a minute, what’s this holographic-like screen in front of me? I move my vision back and forth, and the holographic screen follows it as if it is attached to my own eyes.

There were no other options on that screen. However, I noticed that the [Material Manipulation I] and [Quest] are clickable. I clicked on the [Quest] menu and it is empty. I then click on [Material Manipulation I], and then, another menu appeared. How to describe this menu? It was like a blank blue blueprint page. On the upper left corner, there is an ‘X’ button, probably to close the menu. I press it to close the menu.

“Helen, what are you doing?” Rachel asks, questioning what I am doing. To be honest, the best way to describe what I am doing is that I am doing a tutorial stage of my life if there is no better way of saying it. I get to a world with some things that don't connect with my common sense. For starters, a magical screen that appears just like the inside of a game? Seriously?

My mother then put her arm on Rachel’s shoulder, “Rachel, Helen is still little. Of course, she will fiddle around with the stuff around her. Moreover, because her main class is a Materialmancer, who manipulates with materials.”

“Materialmancer?” The word naturally comes out of my mouth, mainly because I haven’t heard that term anywhere when I’m still an Earth inhabitant. Does this mean that I actually can design something? In this world? Where magic exists? I can’t hold my excitement, to the point where I suddenly grin out of nowhere.

Imagine creating an M16 out of thin air, or even, an air-superiority fighter jet like the F-15 out of thin air, just imagine the possibility of this class. I can’t wait to utilize its technology, as long as I know what I can do with it. Should I make another Lockheed Martin in this world? The biggest aerospace defense contractor, only beaten by Boeing in some aspects except in defense?

“Yes, a Materialmancer, those who are born with materialmancing spells are often turned into engineers or weaponsmiths, depending on what you want to do with it,” My mother says.

So, about class, is it based on preference, or does the higher being just choose it for us? There are too many questions. Still, ignoring that, I’m happy with what I currently had at this moment. No matter what it is, if I can design and manufacture something, then it’s good enough for me.

Excited is an understatement, then my grin becomes wider, knowing how much I can do. I can do everything without worrying about bureaucrats and the like, I can just design the perfect machine. What is the limitation of this world, though?

“Mom, are you sure my little sister didn’t turn crazy?” Rachel asks.

“The bump on her head will surely affect something. We need to bring her to the healer, sooner or later,” my mom says. “Still, she indeed says that Helen would turn a little bit different personality-wise, so there’s that.”

Look, mom, I am not Helen. I want to tell her that, but no way, it is the same as saying that I am a body snatcher that caught your daughter’s body. I’ll just play along and pretend to lose most of my memories thanks to the previous crash against the carriage. That’s the best I can do for now.

“Still, I think we can suspend her magic learning…”

“No, can I learn magic now?” I grin, without realizing that I am being a creep.

“Woah, that’s quite an enthusiastic response, Helen,” Rachel comments.

“This is different than usual,” My mother comments.

“Is there something wrong?” I ask.

“Nothing, nothing. Are you sure you are fine, my dear?” My mother asks.

“I’m fine,” I answer, even though it is very clear that I have a bandage around my head, wrapped around it. How hard did the carriage hit me anyway? And how long have I been unconscious? And why do they respond so timid about me after being hit by a carriage like that?

I better get to learn how to use this manipulation magic to create some quick duplicates of the basic machinery that I had in my old lives. I sigh, there’s no way I could produce advanced computers, it’s beyond my capabilities as an engineer.

Still, I can design weapons that don’t require such complexity, such as guns, for example. I shake my head, getting myself clear of the wild idea to respond to both my mother and sister who keeps looking at me like I just lost my mind.

To be honest, there is some truth in that statement, mainly because I can’t wait to learn how to use this ability. Still, I need to know more about what I should do about this current situation and my own feeble body. Perhaps, having a little body had its own advantages to an extent
