"Yini? Your beguiling, breathtaking dream man is here!" Falk flew in front of the nest of the harpy that had stolen his heart, as he used to say. Yini. A pretty girl with white wings and short very dark hair.
He was not in love with her. No. Falk thought of himself as too good to be in love with anyone. But Yini had a special place in his heart. After all, he had to go to great lengths to be allowed between her feathers.
Her mother looked out of the nest and rolled her eyes. "Yini? The troublemaker is back", she murmured.
Falk grinned broadly. "Troublemaker? No. The delight of the young and beautiful ladies!"
"And all the young gentlemen, I know!" Yini's mother rolled her eyes. Her daughter pushed past her and swung herself into the air.
"Falk! Are you bored?", she asked with a wink.
Since Falk had his beloved bell, Yini was open to his courtship attempts. This bell brought him luck and decorated his gem appropriately. "Ready for an adventure?", he whispered to her, shaking his tail feathers. The bell rang softly.
Yini's mother disappeared back into her nest annoyed.
"An adventure?"
"Yes!" Falk grabbed her hands and kissed them as seductively as he could. Jane claimed that this was not seductive but tickling. But what did Jane know... He had demonstrated his skills to her and she ended up laughing on the floor.
"I would be open to an adventure with you!"
"And if it's not just me?" Falk stroked her short hair. But he had the feeling that he had forgotten something important ... He ignored it.
"Oh?" This seemed to interest Yini even more. "Were you successful?"
"We will meet Mei, Niam, and Emiliano on the riverbank!"
Yini chewed on her underlip. "On the riverbank? And what are we doing there?"
"Everything!" Falk kissed her cheek.

Everything was a cheerful description of the activities that took place a little later on the riverbank. A Kelpie watched the events indignantly.
"I am your delighter!", exclaimed Falk euphorically.
"My hero!" cried Yini.
"Falk!" In shock, he looked up at the sky. Jane came flying to them and she looked anything but happy.
"Did you forget to invite her?", asked Niam, who had made himself 'comfortable' under Falk and Yini.
"The more, the better!", announced Emiliano.
Mai grimaced. "Jane looks angry..." She pushed Emiliano's wings aside. "Is our fun over?"
"What?" Emiliano looked at her in shock.
Falk, however, turned pale when his best friend landed angrily in front of him and put her hands on her hips.
"Hi, Jane. You look adorable...", he murmured restlessly.
"Aha!" She raised her eyebrows.
"Do you want to join us?", Yini invited her embarrassed.
"No thanks", Jane replied, fixing Falk with flaming eyes. "You wanted to help clean the nest. Did you forget this? YOU promised it to my very pregnant and extremely disgruntled mother! So? Pack your carrot with the bell away and swing your feathers! My mother refuses to let us start without you. And at the same time, she whines about the stench of rats and threatens to throw us out if we don't make the stench disappear! But dare us, if dad and I start without you... I can't stand it anymore! She drives me crazy!"
Falk sighed.
So, this was, what he had forgotten.
