Diana and Hero ran side by side. Georgina had been taken into the townspeople's care, and the duo was assured that she would be safe. The cathedral was close and Diana could sense that Misty was already inside. The orb, however, had not been located yet.
They sped up, entering the dim church. A horrifying surprise is waiting for them there. Some of the nuns and priests had been killed, while the others were gravely injured. The scene was a blood bath. Misty was sitting on the Goddess Omnia's statue at the end of the church. She almost resembled an angel with the amount of white she was wearing. Almost.
"You kept me waiting." The bounty hunter spoke, her voice was as cold as ice. Hero's guard was up, but he felt like a pair of eyes was directly on top of him, causing his body to break out in cold sweat. Diana's boots lit up in flames, and so did her arms. Hero watched with awe as Diana readied herself for the battle ahead.
The orange-haired mechanic then leaped into the air, the flames she produced boosting her jump height. She then spun in a circle before bringing her foot down in a kicking motion. Misty dodged flipping forwards and landing on the nearby bookshelf.
Diana, who now stood on Omnia's statue stared at the scythe-wielding girl with an agitated look. Misty placed the white fan in her left hand over her mouth, giggling into it. Her black eyes not really conveying the same emotion. "What's so fucking funny, bitch?" Diana curtly asked, which Misty ignored before disappearing. Hero, who had tended to the injured priest that had been left alive, watched the battle go on.
His grandpa's words started ringing in his ear like a mantra. Montgomery had been right. This world was dangerous, and Hero wanted to explore every nook and cranny. Diana and Misty's battle mimicked two swans dancing. It was deadly and beautiful. Diana's stomach was hit by the handle of the scythe with force, causing her to fly back and hit the church door. "Diana!" The blue-haired boy exclaimed, worried as he rushed to her side. The young flame user groaned as she held her head. Blood had trickled down from her to her lips, prompting her to lick it and stand up again. "You sound like a damsel in distress." She remarked on the young adventurer's behavior, a small smirk plastered on her face.
The young mechanic's hands lit up in flames, as she got into fighting position. Her hands were balled into fists. Misty's eyes widened for a fraction of a second before she twirled her scythe around, and pointed it at Diana. "That stance belongs to Iron fist. Don't tell me that man is on this island." The ginger girl and the young boy's expressions turned blank, as they gave the bounty hunter a deadpanned look. "He was at pier when you landed." Diana pointed out.
"I'm blind." Their expression quickly turned into one of shock. "So how did.....huh?" Hero stuttered out. Misty took a deep breath and zoomed toward the pair. This time, she was indiscriminately attacking them both. "I have no time to explain myself to you." She muttered. "Ya don't have to! You use the mana our bodies produce to create a colored image of the person. It seems that you had an altercation and remembered his stance when Diana went into the same position." Hero explained, dodging the attacks like there was no tomorrow.
Diana was impressively smart the young boy was. Misty was annoyed, and realization dawned on the young ones. "You're old." They exclaimed in unison, visibly horrified.
"Die!"
