At an unknown timeline:
'Damn it'
A woman cursed as she rushed through the thick trees that seemed to pierce till the skies, her face looked average, something not deemed possible to any citizens of the third heaven, a scar ran across her face, just looking at her will show that the woman was in a disguise, her breath seemed labored as she ran through the thick forestation,
'I underestimated them'
Her thoughts ran wild as she tried her best to force down the poison that ran through her veins, even for her the current poison was too much, the worst part of it was that it had nullified her most important asset, her cold calculative mind, right now she was starting to feel all the emotions that she had long forgotten, and it was amplified too,
'This is bad...'
Her mind was getting clouded while her breath labored, she had dealt with her chasers but she still has to find a safe place, with her current situation even the weakest beast in this area is capable of killing her, as she kept running soon she reached a clearing, there within her gaze she saw a man but she wasn't even able to say anything before which she collapsed,
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
"NO!"
The woman shouted out as she woke up from her nightmare sitting up straight, taking in deep breaths to control her outburst, her eyes traveled the surroundings trying to make sense of where she was, and soon memories of what happened before she fainted passed through her mind, clearing up the cloud that filled her.
Soon with better clarity she started to gaze around the room, she could tell that she was in a small hut with barely enough necessity to survive, right now she needed to know where she was, most of her power was sealed, it had been the only way to deal with the poison that was trying to destroy her.
Of course, with time she will be able to heal and get better, then revenge would fall upon those that moved to hurt her,
'Damn it my feelings are growing higher'
Due to her physique being locked her feeling was now overflowing within her, the mind that was cold was being affected too much,
"Oh? you are awake?"
Just as she was monologuing, the door to the small hut opened, and a man walked in, her eyes soon trailed to him, the man looked to be in his late 20s with dark black hair and eyes, he looked to be average, that is if he's compared to the ones in the third heaven but what caught her attention was his eyes.
They were dead.....
Seemingly having no desire left within them, the signature of a person continuing to live just because he could, someone who had lost his way, someone that is waiting to die,
'He has a fate connection with me?'
The woman or Valencia gazed through the fate connecting her and the man in front of her, a very small and thin line connected her and the man in front of her indicating that he was in her life before, peering deeper into the fate she soon understood who was in front of her,
'Xiao'
A name that had long since left her mind, someone that was just passing sand in her eyes but the current Xiao was far different from how she had remembered him to be, no longer does the arrogant young master stand in front of her, only a man broke by the harsh reality of fate,
'It seems the rumors were true'
Even she with her weak strength could crush Xiao with relative ease, while he did reach the third heaven he has no right to be here, she had indeed heard of the mass murderer of the world, a man who defied his fate and talent by killing millions to get stronger, always targeting the weak to rise, a man that is disputed in every heavenly realm.
Back then she had heard some rumors about it but she paid no mind, she had better things to deal with, though she did hear that he had gone missing and no more was his killings reported, he was a slippery man to catch, hated by every being, just his death guaranteed money, while many wanted to peer into his secrets what lead him to defy his talent albeit minorly?
'Why is his fate so messed up?'
Gazing in deeper she could see several jumbles in Xiao's fate, everything looked a mess as if someone had tried to forcefully rip and take away something while someone else is trying to fix and put something else within the already chaotic mess but just as she tried to peer in deeper a splitting headache filled her mind,
'Curious'
"Are you okay?"
She heard his voice again, as her gaze soon looked at his face, she could see the marks of time on him, his body was skinny, while a deep pain could be seen in his eyes, pain that was eating him away,
"Yes, I am fine"
Valencia spoke, putting on a 'smile', she continued,
"So where am I?"
"Well, I was on my routine walk when you arrived in front of me and fainted, so I brought you here and treated you the best I could"
"I see, thank you"
Sighing out in 'relief', Valencia thanked Xiao,
"But where am I?"
"You are in my home or if you can call it that"
Xiao replied with a weak smile, as he placed some food in front of Valencia, who gazed at it with a curious gaze before which she started to eat it with small movements,
"You can stay as long as you want, so please make yourself at home"
Xiao spoke as he stood up, walking out of the door, while Valencia sat there deep in her thoughts,
'This seems a good place to hide'
She mused, right now Xiao is soo weak that the beasts in this area even disdain to acknowledge him, that's the only reason he's surviving, who would even gaze at the sand they walk? she could use his weak cover to help her hide in plain sight, after all, it would take some time for her to heal,
'Maybe I could help him?'
'No shouldn't I use him?'
Valencia was getting restless, due to her feelings being leaked, she started to feel gratitude, something she felt she had lost,
'This is bad, I need to get everything back, quick'
Saying so she tried to stand up but she felt a splitting headache filling her mind causing her to fall off the bed,
BAM!
The sound was heard outside as Xiao walked in seeing Valencia on the ground, he rushed in and picked her up, placing her on the bed,
"Are you okay?"
He asked but Valencia didn't reply as she felt like her mind was being cut open, it took a few moments for her to regain her bearing,
'Damn it, the effects are worse than I thought'
Right now she had lost feeling in most of her body and that poison was trying its best to break her mind,
"I-I will be sealing my memory, please take care of me"
In the end, Valencia gambled as she locked all her memories and fainted for the second time.
~~~~~~~~~~~
"NO!"
Again a woman scared woke up in bed her disguised face filled with sweat, while her eyes filled with chaos and confusion,
"Calm down, everything is fine"
<o>,m A calm voice was heard beside her, causing her to turn her head to the man beside her,</o>
"Who are you and who am I?"
She asked, only endless confusion filling her mind.
