The pale blue transparent crystal coffin was very narrow, and he was trapped inside. Looking back, he could not see the secret chamber at all.
He tried to break the crystal coffin, but found the Submerged Cloud Seal ineffective. Another trap.
On the bright side, at least he was not alone within this crystal coffin.
Beside him were six other crystal coffins, making a total of seven. They were all lined up on a white jade platform, a small platform that seemed to be the only safe place in the void.
Beyond the white jade platform was a fearsome storm of lightning and rain. It seemed clear that if Wu Yu went there, he would be killed in a flash.
"They’re actually all within crystal coffins."
Wu Yu saw the other five demonic emperors and Wu Jun all within crystal coffins.
Seeing Wu Jun unharmed made him breathe a sigh of relief. The other five demonic emperors looked to be in roughly the same state. Only Wu Yu was awake out of the seven coffins. The rest seemed to be in a stupor.
The five demonic emperors were all in their human forms, lying down. The white jade platform would not be able to hold their true forms without exposing them to the storm outside.
"Perhaps they’re still in the chamber?" Wu Yu mused. It was unknown.
But if he could not break the crystal coffin, then it hardly mattered where the waiting game was held.
He was surprised that he had escaped from one trap only to be in another trap. The only consolation was that the others were similarly trapped.
He had seen three demonic emperors enter. This meant that the other two must have come in earlier.
He relaxed a little. Perhaps they had to all wake up before the next round would begin.
Of course, he did not relax too much. He continued to try various ways of breaking out, and even pulled out the bronze pendant. He only gave it up after three years, when he had tried everything he had.
He was initially about to continue trying, but at this time someone else had woken up. Unending Crepuscular Sea!
Ever since the last confusing fiasco featuring the five demonic emperors and their fakes, Wu Yu had not seen Unending Crepuscular Sea.
Three years after Wu Yu woke, Unending Crepuscular Sea also came to in the crystal coffin. He looked around him to see the others, and only Wu Yu awake!
In any case, he was open to talking with Wu Yu. Wu Yu naturally wanted to talk to him as well. They might be enemies, but under such circumstances sharing information was a benefit.
They quickly discovered that they could not hear each other across crystal coffins, but could only sign.
Seeing that there was no way to communicate with Wu Yu, Unending Crepuscular Sea turned his attentions to breaking out of the crystal coffin.
As for Wu Yu, he had already tried everything he could. He was no longer impatient. While Unending Crepuscular Sea made his futile attempts, Wu Yu continued to strengthen his cultivation, honing his heavenly rule powers further.
He foresaw that the demonic emperors would probably wake up sooner or later. And even if Wu Jun finally woke up as well, it would still be 2 v 5.
It was a likely outcome, and not a favorable situation. Especially on the white jade platform, no one knew what lay beyond, and the storm seemed lethal indeed.
Wu Yu’s Somersault Cloud might well carry him into the middle of the storm, and then he would be dead.
Therefore, Wu Yu was not intending to use the Somersault Cloud unless under extreme circumstances. And yet, two on five was not good odds.
Strength was all too important. Forget the Eternal Emperor Tomb’s test, first Wu Yu had to consider how he would deal with the five demonic emperors.
Another 10 years passed.
The five demonic emperors had all awakened. Soon after Unending Crepuscular Sea was Perpetual World Tree, and then Olden Golden Mountain, Celestial Meteor, and Dignified Lava Beast awoke almost all at the same time.
With the five demonic emperors awake, the odds did not look good for Wu Yu, even if they were all unable to converse.
Finally, only Wu Jun remained asleep. Wu Yu could tell from the looks in their eyes that the demonic emperors fully intended to kill Wu Yu as soon as possible.
The crystal coffins were yet to open, but once they did, Wu Yu was in trouble.

The five demonic emperors locked on to Wu Yu like predators on prey.
Wu Jun remained unconscious.
Wu Yu’s warning bells were ringing louder and louder. In these last 10 years, he had already polished his sixth heavenly rule to a high level, and could take on any one of the demonic emperors easily.
But now he was faced with five.
Up till now, no one had found a way to open the crystal coffins. It was part of the Graveguarding Palace’s design, and it was impossible that they could get out of it.
Finally, two years after Dignified Lava Beast had awoken, Wu Jun finally came to within the crystal coffin. All of a sudden, the crystal coffins began to melt.
"It’s starting." Wu Yu warned. He saw that the other crystal coffins were beginning to evaporate. At this rate, the crystal coffins would vanish in less than a day’s time.
And at that time, it would be him and Wu Jun versus the five demonic emperors.
Wu Jun was still disoriented as he woke, but there was probably still a day’s time before the crystal coffins fully vanished. He soon had a grasp fo the situation, and a sober expression marked his understanding.
It was going to be a straight fight from hereon!
Wu Yu had expected something like this. Once everyone was ready, the crystal coffin would have them kill each other.
Luckily, he had already made preparations.
As the seven crystal coffins on the white jade platform melted at the same time, Wu Yu was constantly trying to break out of it, but he could only leave after a day, when the coffins had completely melted.
The other six burst out of the crystal coffins at the exact same time, and the two sides were clearly divided on the white jade platform.
One side was the five demonic emperors!
They could not revert into their true forms for now, but even in human form they could easily suppress Wu Yu and Wu Jun.
On the other side was Wu Yu and Wu Jun. They occupied one corner of the white jade platform for now, facing off against the five demonic emperors.
They did not fight immediately. After all, this was a strange place, and they were waiting to see what else might happen. Everyone tread cautiously.
Wu Jun took the opportunity to ask Wu Yu: "How do you feel? Can we take them?"
Wu Yu shook his head. "Not very confident, but there’s nothing else to do but try. They can’t change to their true forms for now, which means their maximum strength can’t be unleashed. Even with five of them, they might not be able to take us down quickly."
"I hope you’re right. Let’s go for it!"
Wu Jun nodded gravely. He sensed that Wu Yu had grown much stronger. Clearly, he had made some sort of a breakthrough within Graveguarding Palace. Perhaps they stood a chance.
"Oh, the elements around the white jade platform should not be touched at all costs. They are superb immortal kernels, and it’s instant death to touch them!"
Wu Jun warned Wu Yu as he looked around. "That is the Soul Eater Wind, which can swallow an immortal’s spirit and wipe you from existence. That is the Death Valley Flame, its destructive force is unparalleled. And the sleet is Eternal Night Frost. Even an eternal immortal emperor would be frozen solid upon touching it. Finally, that is Karma’s Lightning, which can strike directly at your immortal spirit."
Having come from the sky palaces, Wu Jun could recognize these things.
Wu Yu nodded. "Got it. No touchy touchy."
Otherwise he would be deady deady.
The situation was getting awkward. Everyone was on guard against something else happening, but some time had passed and nothing ellse was happening. The five demonic emperors could wait no longer.
"Let’s take them down first, and talk later."
The five demonic emperors agreed, and headed for Wu Yu’s corner.
Metal, wood, water, fire, and earth. The five elemental heavenly rule powers came surging towards them. Luckily they were not in their true forms, or Wu Yu would be reduced to dust!
The fatal attacks were about to connect. At this crucial moment, Wu Yu and Wu Jun could not afford to let it touch them. They had to dodge preemptively.
Wu Jun was first to act. He used his Primordial Immortal Dragon heavenly rule power to carry him to a different location.
Wu Yu was rather calm at this time, and he left a remnant shadow in his original position as they left. He used Fulgurating Shadows to create a small path through the void, and avoided the attacks of the five.
