The gown was white. Its top part was identical to a cheongsam. It had a delicate mandarin collar on top of its shoulders and its sleeves were made out of transparent silk. The top showed a halterneck style. A pair of phoenix feathers were embroidered on the collarbone part with golden and silver threads.
The dress stretched to the middle of her thigh before splitting to the left and the right. It fluttered down like a tailcoat or mantle would. On her waist was a thin belt made out of a silver-and-gold rope.
The gown was sweet yet noble; retro yet stylish. Coupling it up with a pair of golden stilettos, Yun Xiangxiang was bestowed with an air of grace and elegance.
“Junior, your beauty exceeds itself every time,” Xue Yu was stunned when he came to take Yun Xiangxiang.
“You look dashing too, senior.”
Xue Yu was in a special long suit today, with one side of the collar draped on the other. It was quite novel. His suit also had embroidery on it.
“Hahahaha, I have to look matching with my junior, don’t I?” Xue Yu opened the door for Yun Xiangxiang. “Please, your majesty.”
Yun Xiangxiang was a ladylike princess with her dress’s top, but a dominant queen with the dress’s bottom.
The dress might split to the left and right at the thigh, but Deng Yang wove the dress strictly according to Yun Xiangxiang’s measurements. There wouldn’t be any risk of panty flashes no matter if she was walking or sitting. This was the mark of an outstanding designer.
Whenever the wind would blow or be stirred up by her walking, the hem on the back of Yun Xiangxiang’s dress would sway slightly. It was a cheongsam-style pencil dress. Not only would it accentuate Yun Xiangxiang’s perfect curves, it also fully protected her.
He Wei arranged for Yun Xiangxiang to enter with Xue Yu because they would either walk in front, or they would come in as the finale. They didn’t have to wait too long. Since Yun Xiangxiang was the center of attention for the event, along with Xue Yu, they came in as the opening act.
Their arrival was met with deafening screams. It was the semester break after all. Except for the graduating seniors, almost everyone from Qingdao University was there. They had to support one of their own.
[I thought beauty was all my goddess had. Turns out she’s also smoking hot!]
[Where did the goddess buy her dress? It’s so darn perfect. Look at how it accentuates her curves!]
[Lucky I have my tissue with me. My nosebleed will kill me if I don’t]
[She’s just too gorgeous! This is absolutely our goddess’ prettiest style!]
[Yeah, that air she has? Better than anyone else. Ah…my goddess is the prettiest of them all. They must be jealous]
[My entrance exam is in two months! I want to get into Qingdao University too!]
[…]
Yun Xiangxiang drew a new height of screams. It didn’t stop until she finished her proceeding on the red carpet.
After the signing session, Yun Xiangxiang turned around to give the live audience a flying kiss while Xue Yu was still giving out signatures.
[Awoo, that’s a kiss for me]
[I’ll catch it and keep it in my heart. That’s the kiss goddess gave me]
[I’m getting woozy. My heart is getting woozy]
Her kiss made everyone scream again. Yun Xiangxiang and Xue Yu, who finished signing, were led into the venue by the crew.
As they came early, save for the people from the State Admin of Radio, Film, and Television, their school’s leaders, and other school’s leaders, no other actors were there yet.
Yun Xiangxiang spotted a slender figure standing out in the crowd right away.

Naturally, Hou Chengjue needed to recommend his own student. He beckoned to Yun Xiangxiang. When she came to him, he introduced her to the bigwigs. When he introduced her to Song Mian, Hou Chengjue said, “This is Mr. Song. An honorary professor of our school.”
“Hello, Professor Song,” Yun Xiangxiang extended her hand. She looked at him with a smile.
Song Mian replied seriously, “Hello, Miss Yun.”
“You’re really young, Professor Song,” Yun Xiangxiang added.
“Hahahaha. He is a promising young man. But he pursues medicine,” Hou Chengjue didn’t notice the thing going on between them.
He was just admiring his student. Not many could stay calm during their first meeting with Song Mian. Song Mian was wearing lenses to change his purplish-black eyes to black. He looked less mesmerising, but more unfathomable now. Even an experienced woman could fall for a man like him, let alone a young lady.
“That’s a shame. I was thinking of going to your lecture, seeming that we don’t have many professors as young as you,” Yun Xiangxiang replied regretfully.
“He’s a very busy man. Not even our school can ask him to give any lectures. You don’t have to feel sorry,” said Hou Chengjue.
“Since a pretty lady like Miss Yun is asking me, I will consider it,” Song Mian pulled the rug from Hou Chengjue’s feet.
“You little…,” Hou Chengjue glared at Song Mian.
“Teacher Hou, my friends are coming in. I’ll leave with senior now,” Yun Xiangxiang told them as she happened to notice Fang Nanyuan.
Naturally, Hou Chengjue did not make it hard for Yun Xiangxiang. He too noticed Song Mian was teasing Yun Xiangxiang.
After Yun Xiangxiang left, she could still overhear Hou Chengjue whispering, “Are you serious?”
“Can’t get more serious than this.”
Yun Xiangxiang smiled unknowingly. If she could hear it, Xue Yu could too. “Xiangxiang, that Professor Song really is something. Being Qingdao University’s honorary professor at such a young age. Promising guy. But you are already taken.”
“How did you know about that?” Yun Xiangxiang didn’t know her father had exposed her.
“Your dad said so,” Xue Yu confessed.
Yun Xiangxiang was speechless. But she knew Yun Zhibin wouldn’t say that to Xue Yu alone. Xue Yu must have been there when he told He Wei about it.
“Don’t worry, senior. I won’t be a two timer,” Yun Xiangxiang knew Xue Yu was worried she might get embroiled in a scandal if she managed it poorly. “Besides, is your junior that kind of person?”
“No. I am sure my junior is the most loyal of them all. I am just worried you might attract unwanted attention or people who misunderstand you because you’re just too good,” Xue Yu explained.
It was at this moment that Fang Nanyuan came over after greeting people he knew. Yun Xiangxiang stopped talking about this topic.
“Absolutely stunning, Sister Xiang. You have no idea how many people are hating on you now,” Fang Nanyuan held back his laugh.
All actresses came in beautifully styled in the first place. Nobody was ugly in the entertainment industry. All were gorgeous. All had personalities.
It was just that Yun Xiangxiang’s looks were off the charts. At least she still toned down before this, dressing up as a sweet young lady. But she still captured everyone’s attention today. On top of that, she was the opening act. Everyone who came after would be compared to her. It was awkward for them.
“I also think I am super gorgeous today.” After two lives of wearing gowns, she was most satisfied with today’s style.
But Song Mian wasn’t happy when he skimmed over her fair, long, slender legs just now.
Yun Xiangxiang couldn’t help being smug when she thought about this.
