Chapter 13: unravel

"We are here to take you home!" The man said proudly.

 

The beige haired boy gawked at the man curiously. The others watched the interaction with excitement. 

 

"Come along Adam! You're going to love being with your mother again." The man smiled warmly at Adam.

 

Adam was still unable to make sense of the situation, his body stiffed the man continued to speak in the background not seeming to notice growing mad by the second. The man became nervous as he looked into the boys hardened eyes. 

 

"But you do have someone waiting for you outside. So, are you going to come with us willingly or not." The man said.

 

He could see Adam starting to tense.  Hollyn and Marcella watched quietly  waiting for his reaction. Galen's eyes scanned the room as the tension grew thick between them. 

 

“Sure...I will go with you…” Adam smirked. 

 

“Y-you will?” 

 

“Battler Form Inhumation!” Adam cried out. 

 

His body started to gain girth and muscles bulked as his whole self grew bigger. His skin seemed smoother and more healthy than before. Long brown hair flowed behind him as horns extended out of his head , his eyes changed colors from green to blue.Adam’s body shifted as he stood there staring in awe at himself through the many empty glass tubes surrounding them. 

 

Karma peeked into the door watching the expressions change on Christian and Galen's face as Adam  transformed into his Battler form.

 

Adam smirked turning to look at his friends as if saying 'I know!'

 

He turned his attention to Galen and smirked. 

 

"You just came out so surely you are just bluffing!" The man scoffed.

 

Marcella strolled behind the man getting a better view of theMarcella strolled behind the man getting a better view of the beast who had just emerged. 

 

"Wait! Jaxon! Omni Ensnaring Hymnn!" Marcella shouted.

"Too slow! Deadly Computerized Killer Illusionist" Adam yelled.

 

Grabbing Jaxon by the face crushing his cheeks in and collapsing his skull, snapping the neck bones sending him crashing  into the floor. Christian screamed in horror. Marcella backed away in fear. Jaxon's body twitched in agony . His body began to shake as a horrible sound escaped his the holes in his throat. A noise of desperation to breathe. A choked groan escaping what was left of his mouth. 

 

“Would you like to go next?” He asked. 

 

His eyes widened his body shook violently as his eyes glowed blue. 

 

"You can choose to live or die but I don't really care either way. So why don't you decide for yourself and end your life." Adam suggested.

 

Adam's body quickly deteriorated back to normal size limping toward Marcela who gasped. He displayed a huge smile despite  how much pain he was in. His grin faded as he stopped walking reaching out toward her  with one hand and his head lowered.

 

Hollyn grabbed Marcella pulling her out the door   as Marcella struggled against Hollyn's grip. She screamed as she watched the scene unfold before her. Jaxon's mangled body below them . The smell of rotting flesh  lingering in the air. Adam was covered in blood, sweat and gore. His naked body ready to go after the other two . He looked like some kind of monster.

 

“We can’t stay here!” Hollyn argued. 

 

“Jaxon!” She yelled.

Marcella tried fighting against Hollyn's strong grip, but she simply pushed her forward

marrying them to a fate she herself knew was far worse than death, even with a family she loved dearly.

 

"You should listen to your friend!" Adam spouted.

 

Hollyn and Marcella shared a look of terror. Marcella nodded as she let go of Hollyn's hand

hiding herself in her coat as she followed Hollyn outside slamming the door shut behind her. 

 

"Galen, the goddess is waiting for us..." Adam smiled.

 

He was speechless  as he starred down at Jaxon's remains   the creature before him didn't seem real. Was it all just an illusion of the god's imagination?  Galen was horrified of the man standing before him reaching  towards him with a gentle smile.

"What do you mean by us?" Galen questioned.

 

"Your goal was to free me and now here I am...you will be a true magician now." He explained. Galen frowned at the man's words.

 

"You were born to destroy those who deserve to be destroyed" The man spoke softly with a soft smile on his face. "This isn't about revenge...this is about saving the planet you were created for. That is where your power lies.

 

"I think I just want to go now..." Galen mentioned.

 

"Nonsense!" Adam noted, "You are here to save me and now I'm asking you to join me."

 

"I don't think that's such a good idea..." He muttered nervously.

 

"I have never met an unbeliever before...but I'm sure I can convince you somehow. Come Galen, it will be fun...please..." Adam pleaded.

 

"What makes you think I'll ever believe something that crazy?" He replied.

 

"If you don't trust me and your faith has vanished then I won't bother trying anymore, but I ask you visit the goddess..." Adam chuckled.

 

He grabbed tightly unto Galen's arm causing him to collaspe into his arms. This made Karma and Christian unsure how to react when he turned to face them. 

 

"Trust me Galen, I can help you," he whispered in Galens ear.

 

"What did you do to him?" Christian asked.

 

"Visiting the goddess..."

 

"Would you like clothes?" Karma asked.

 

The door creaked behind them setting Adam on edge noticing a pair of eyes staring back at them before opening the door slightly. Adam froze as the light poured through the crack of the door. A man dressed in white lab coat gently stepped in the room  closing the door quietly as soon as he entered. He stared at Adam carefully.

 

"Is a boy named Galen here?" He pondered aloud, looking down  at his clipboard with a frown etched onto his face.

 

“He is right here…he is okay.” Adam smiled.

His sleeping form limp in Adam's arms. The man ran over take the kid from his arms looking and slowly slipped off his coat to hand to Adam who gracefully accepted the clothing article slipping it on as the man gives a glare at Karma and Christian.

 

“I need you to come with me!” He announced.
