"What are we even looking for in here?" Galen asked.

"My weapon...Aspen has decided I wasn't allowed to fight and I never thought they would bring another user here." Christian chimed.

Galen glanced around the broken equipment as they both looked together at the broken computer screens and keyboards littering the table. The place looked like a mess. The computers had cracked screens, smashed keyboards, burnt monitors, and other miscellaneous things laying about the place.

"You live here in this giant place?" Galen asked.

"Of course!" Christian laughed.

He tossed chairs and tables looking through the junk stacked up in the middle of the room. He pulled some broken chairs aside revealing a pile of objects hidden among them. Grabbing a few of the items he held them up showing them off to Galen: some sort of gun, knife, and other weapons.

"What if its not here? Can't you tell with that weird eye of yours?" Galen questioned.

"I never thought of that..." Christian replied. His hand moved to his temple rubbing it. "Maybe its just in the database somewhere?" He offered doubtfully.

"So what are we going to do next?" Galen asked raising his eyebrow.

"We keep searching. Come on lets try one of these rooms first." Christian chuckled.

Galen nodded hesitatingly following him into the hallway looking at all the doors wondering which one they should go to. Finally they came to another large locked door with two windows set in front of the door. Christian grabbed hold of the handle pushing the door and it opened easily allowing them to slip inside into a dimly lit room.

"Oh, Galen what is your passive skill?" Christian asked.

"Passive skill?" Galen wondered.

"Yeah, its like what I am using to scan stuff and open pass keys."

Galen shook his head, unsure of what he was talking about. "I don't know." He admitted honestly.

"Come on use your senses! Tell me what kind of skills do you have!” Christian demanded.

“I..um...” Galen stuttered trying to think of a good explanation.

He pulled his phone out to gaze at it for a couple minutes typing. “I don’t really know. But my passive ability is called the sense of touch. My sensitivity and strength increase with the amount of blood I drink and my perception is heightened,” he explained.

"But we all have that, but you should have a special passive to yourself." Christian said frowning.

"I just started though...what is your level?" Galen asked.

Christian looked away embarassed unsure what exactly what to say as he thought about it for a bit. He sighed heavily and leaned against the wall and rubbed his head before explaining.

"I'm Level 5!" he exclaimed proudly smiling slightly.

Galen raised his eyebrows, "Really?"

"My weapon was taken from and I was kept unable to progress, but now you are here!" Christian cried happily.

Galen tilted his head slightly, surprised by the revelation. Suddenly, Christian's face changed from joy to concern, "Wait, they pushed you here cause your special or something right? I will protect you then!" he declared

"Wha-" Galen began to ask.

"I will protect you then! We are friends and no harm shall come to you! Now let's look for clues in here,” Christian stated. “There's gotta be something important here that will prove that we're the ones meant to be the heroes! That's the only logical conclusion."

Galen swallowed nervously.

"Are you scared?" Christian teased, causing Galen's lips to part in shock.

Galen blushed slightly. Was he? Well he was certainly terrified of everything that happened so far and being in such a dangerous place was making him incredibly nervous. He wasn't scared exactly....but there was certainly something in the back of his mind telling him that this was wrong somehow, that something bad was about to happen.

"No...well yes actually!" Galen exclaimed embarrassed. "It doesn't seem fair to be put in such a stressful situation for such stupid reasons! I hate this so much!"

Galen pouted crossing his arms angrily over his chest. A huge smile spread across Christian's face. "Well it sure looks like you have it tough, my friend! But don't worry! Everything will be okay!" Christian reassured.

They heard the sounds of footprints tapping along the hallway as they continued to search through the building. As they passed an elevator, Christian stopped dead in his tracks staring at it. Galen noticed that he seemed to be extremely shocked that there was an elevator inside the building. He took a small step closer and curiously looked inside.

"Master Christian!"

"Where have you been this whole time?!" Another man shouted.

Galen turned to see Christian was surrounded. He was surrounded in the dark room by two men dressed as guards and another man, wearing a black suit, tie, and white gloves. The two guards immediately shoved Christian into one of the corners while the white glove guy walked towards them.

"Master, you're late again," the white glove guy chided.

"I am not going with you penguins!" He shouted.

He stomped forward grabbing hold of the white glove guy slamming him into the floor. He punched him repeatedly knocking his face multiple times making it bleed. Then suddenly, he kicked the white glove guy in the stomach knocking him over.

Galen stared with wide eyes witnessing the scene unfold before him horrified. Suddenly, Christian jumped in front of Galen with a confident smirk plastered onto his face.

"Let's do this!!" Christian announced.

[You need your weapon to gain experience, Christian]

"I don't have it at the moment so I guess I am not gaining!" He retorted with a roll of his eyes.

A shadow of person could be seen down the hall as more and more men dressed up in black lined up duplicating themselves like cells. They began approaching Christian.

'Is this what I get for asking him to help?' Galen thought glancing at Christian who grinned at him. Before Galen could process what was happening, Christian charged straight towards the group of men running straight into the mass of black suits.

[Galen, you must fight]

The two groups of guards charged at each other and began fighting. Christian managed to dodge and knock out two of their members with one hit before swinging his fist straight into their faces.

One of the black suits lunged toward Christian but Christian threw himself to the side avoiding them. The other black suit lunged again aiming punches towards Christian.

“Fuck! I feel alive!” Christian yelled.

He ducked to avoid another attack, swinging his fist into the masked man’s chin. The black suited fell to the ground unconscious. As they laid on the ground Christian felt a familiar chill run through his body and he gasped. He quickly turned to look up at Galen who stood there smirking at him.

“Do you mind if I check you, Galen?”

“Connect what?" Christian laughed.”

“Fire bane!” Glaen shouted.

His fire attack smashed into the chest of a black suited man sending him falling backwards and crashing through the wall. He hit the ground and slid across the floor until finally he hit a chair sending him smashing through it too.

[EXP 300]

[Mana -5/ 45]

Galen ran in front of Christian to block a punch aimed towards his nose. Galen swung at the black suited man hitting his arm making him yelp loudly. As he did so, Christian kicked him away from him before charging at the other black suit. He knocked out the other man without hesitation.

“OLD MAN GIVE ME MY SWORD BACK!!” Christian shouted.

Suddenly, another black suited man appeared behind Christian and tried to grab onto him with his arms but Christian blocked the attack and kicked the other man into the wall sending him flying and knocking him unconscious.

"Fire bane!" Galen yelled.

A wave of flame erupted from his hands shooting at the black suited man launching him into the air before he crashed into a shelf of books breaking it in half.

[Mana -5/40]

[EXP 400]

[Congrats Galen, you are now level 2]

[Health 200/200]

Mana 100/100

"Fire bane!"

[Mana -5/195]

A wave of flames exploded coming from Galen’s fingers blasting a series of fires towards the masked man as he fell to the ground unconscious.

[EXP 400]

"Fire bane!"

[Mana -5/190]

Another wave of fire shot forth from Galen's fingers exploding all of the masked men on the left side of the room in explosions of fire.

"Fire bane!" Galen yelled.

[Mana -5/185]

More waves of fire blasted through the room sending masked men to pieces. Galen watched as all the masked men were destroyed leaving only a black clothed man standing alone. Christian ran towards him swinging hard at him, knocking him back with the force of the blow.

[EXP 400]

[EXP 300]

As he went to swing at him again he dodged to the side and delivered a solid punch to his stomach which caused him to drop down onto the floor in pain.

"Master Christian, I want him!" The man in the black suit ordered.

[Master Bulter: Chaplin]

Christian growled angrily as he charged at him. "Don't listen to him. Just kill him!" He shouted. Just before he could hit, another man appeared and punched Christian hard in the face knocking him back.

The blonde fell to the floor clutching his face. He slowly got up shaking his head and glaring at the man in black.

"I will destroy you, Master Christian if you think you can beat me." He growled.

The masked butler ran forwards punching Christian repeatedly. He grabbed Christian and swung him around hitting him everywhere on his body. The blows were painful enough to cause his wounds to open even more than before. His ribs were definitely cracked.

Christian grunted in pain when the masked butler lifted him in the air and slammed him into a table making several things fall onto him which made him groan loudly. The table broke instantly creating a large splintering noise as it fell onto Christian making him cry in pain.

"Do not forget you are nothing but weak," the masked butler sneered.

Christian coughed in pain, "Not as weak as you..." he whispered hoarsely through the pain in his voice. The masked man grinned maliciously before slamming him to the floor again forcing him to remain still. He reached down pulling something sharp off of his belt and holding it to Christian's throat.

[Congrats, Galen you are now level 4]

"Holy fuck, Galen you are gaining levels so fast! Let me catch up man!" Christian exclaimed.

Galen was getting exhausted from using his ability over and over again, his heart pounding in his chest painfully. He couldn't believe how quickly his power had increased, but yet it had remained within a certain range which allowed him to use it safely. If he wanted to, he would probably be able to take out hundreds if not thousands of them right now!

"Christian...I am getting really tired..." Galen gasped trying to keep his breathing calm.

Another set of loud footsteps echoed the hallway till Christian and Galen noticed the men dressed in black had stepped aside forming a long line in the middle a stout man walked through. He wore a red suit, black shoes, and matching gloves.

‘Damn, these guys are some serious dudes!’ Galen thought.

There were several people following closely after the man dressed in red suits carrying weapons that appeared to be knives. One person was in the middle holding a gun while another held a sword. The last person trailing behind them with a long whip was dragging another black suited man on his feet.

The man carrying the very large pistol dunked down to wrap his arms around Christian looking proudly upon him.

‘They must be part of this operation,’ Galen thought.

“It appears that I found my wayward son. Finally I can finish this…” he mumbled smiling at Christian.

“No!! Stop it you sick bastard!!” Christian shouted. “This is my fight…my fight!” He cried desperately struggling against the man’s grip. But he kept tightening his hold, causing Christian’s struggles to become weaker and weaker till he gave up.

The other two men presented his broad sword to Christian happily. He looked up in awe watching them hold it high above his body while laughing in excitement.

"Did my idiot son forget to check the note on your counter?" He smiled.

Galen gawked at Christian menacingly before accepting his sword back noticing a glow to it and noticed his sword was shining in a dim blue colour. The sword glowed brighter and brighter before Galen took notice a bright red aura surrounding it.

“Ohhh…” Christian repsponded.
