Chapter 9: Chapter 9 – The Dragon Temple

Qingyue rushed to the ground floor of the brothel, and found it filled with her prostitutes fighting the Dragon Temple acolytes, which numbered in the hundreds

The ground floor was burning as the Dragon Temple acolytes seemed to be out for pure destruction  

Outside, Dragon Temple acolytes were fighting the city guards, who were losing due to their depleted numbers

The Dragon Temple acolytes had tough scaly skins, and had a capacity to gather more chi than an average person. This does not mean they were automatically better than the best fighters in this realm, but they had a better starting point and automatically made even those without skills formidable foes. 

They supposedly got their physical abilities from the Dragon of the Jungle, directly from the Dragon's gift which the founders of the Dragon Temple had received

Many of their acolytes died horribly while eating the "gift", with their bodies catching fire and burning up, but those that survived received tremendous physical gifts, gifts that gave their skin a armor-like scales, enhanced ability with chi and a limited ability to produce fire from their hands

Of course, what they didn't know was that this "gift", large purplish-green balls were actually the excrement of the Lord of the Jungle whom Danny had killed. 

They had discovered that their God, the Lord of the Jungle had been reduced into a large house made of bones, with it's flesh and organs completely removed from the body

When one of the acolytes coming to the town to trade discovered the Governor of Pingle wearing what looked like the Dragon's skin, he reported it to the Dragon Temple which declared war on Pingle!

Qingyue acted immediately, having carried her zither down when she noticed the commotion, and started playing, the sound wave putting the fires on the ground floor out

"What is going on here?" she yelled, attacking a Dragon Temple acolyte who was fighting a prostitute

Irritated that her attack didn't manage to injure the Dragon Temple acolyte, only causing blood from his skin, she sent another sound wave and chopped off his head

"I... I don't know, Sectmaster. The Dragon Temple seemed to be attacking at random, attacking everything in sight" a pretty prostitute said, her dress torn from her battle and was bleeding in several places

Part of the 3 Courtesan arts, the prostitute was using her Terpsichore art, which also included extending a sash from her clothes to fight. This was a beginner level of the terpsichore art, as one had to use cloth rather than attacking with just thin air

But it was still using her gestures to shoot and control the sash to bind, injure and maim her opponent. But this was not very effective as nothing a sash could do to injure a Dragon Temple acolyte, who were more durable than normal and could apply chi naturally to their attacks

Danny had only just came down, after putting on his pants and covering himself with one of Qingyue's red gauze robes, and saw the other prostitutes fighting with their sashes. Some more advanced prostitutes were using terpsichore arts, or painting arts attacking with a brush, creating simple drawings in the air which attacked the many Dragon Temple acolytes

"Hmmm I wonder.." Danny said, using his terpsichore arts he learned to turn a sash he found in his robe, which all seemed to have a hidden pocket hiding the sash, into standing straight up like a sword!

"Let's try this" he said slashing his sash/sword at a nearby Dragon Temple acolyte, slicing him in two!

One must know, when he was fighting the dragon at the lake, he thought he was fighting the Demon Lord of this realm and attacked with much more force

But against these Demon Temple acolytes, they were merely human with tough skin, and Danny merely used enough force to handle them

With Qingyue, he cleared out the brothel and went outside

Everything was a mess as multiple buildings were burning. There were dead guards and acolytes everywhere, but there were many more acolytes, outnumbering the guards and random fighters on the street

What caught his eye was the battle between Governor Kong, and a person looked to have nearly turned into a demon himself!

That was the Dragon Temple abbot, who had taken the Dragon's gift many times, and no longer looked human

His skin was nearly like that of the Dragon itself, and he was even starting to grow horns on his head. His eyes no longer looked human and reminded Danny of the lizardmen of Rathia, of which one of them Zaazz, was his friend and among his teachers

Unfortunately Zazz was killed early on as the lizardmen betrayed him for the Demon Lord. Danny had been so angry, he wiped out the lizardmen race because of that

The Dragon Temple abbot was getting the upper hand as Governor Kong was heavily injured, with only his Dragon Skin armor able to protect him from the abbot

The abbot delivered the finishing blow, crushing Governor Kong's skull, splattering his brains everywhere

Then, he undressed the Governor, taking off his leather top and robe, donning it on himself

"Roarrrr" with a loud roar, he announced to the city that he had won and shot a large fireball, coincidentally towards the brothel

As one who had taken the Dragon's gift the most, his ability over fire had also increased tremendously

The fireball was many times larger than ones by the acolytes and Qingyue immediately tried to block with a melody from her zither

But the fireball broke through her soundwave and she closed her eyes as the fireball approached

Suddenly, the fireball dispersed as Danny slashed at it with his sash/sword, protecting Qingyue

"Were you the one who summoned me?" Danny stared at the abbot

Qingyue, knowing Danny's story panicked. What if he said yes? Would Danny become her enemy?

"What are you talking about? You..." the abbot said when suddenly his head was lopped into the air by a red sash

He slashed a few more times, killing multiple acolytes with each slash, sending the rest fleeing as the guards seized the momentum 

Danny turned around and disappeared in a flash, with Qingyue in hand

He didn't like being interrupted, especially while having sex

Unfortunately, it was Qingyue who bore the brunt of his frustrations. Her flat belly actually grew as if she was heavily pregnant, her womb filled with his seed

He lay on the bed, with Qingyue comatose next to him with cum spilling out of her pussy, contemplating his next step

Neither the Governor, nor the abbot of the Dragon temple knew anything of his reason for being summoned

So, he would have to travel and question every major power in the Murim

While Qingyue was a nice distraction, he was still in a hurry to try and get home
