‘The Walkers,’ Ella thought about the name, which seemed unfamiliar but also familiar at the same time. That name could have many meanings depending on where they were walking, and Ella casually spoke of Didi’s name. Xyle looked at her in response to the name “Didi.”

“What’s wrong?” asked Ella.

“Nothing happened?”

“We just talked, and I got this gift. He seemed like a good person and was very kind. I also think he’s a bit cute.” Didi was literally stripped down to his toes at Ella, who was ready to die there and return to Earth. She giggled at the thought of his frustration.

Xyle turned to Ella with a weird look on his face. The only one who would consider him cute was “Taeho.” To him, Didi was more like an untamed mule. No, more like a wild horse angered by the reign.

‘She thinks he’s cute? A good person?’ questioned Xyle in disbelief as he stared at Ella. ‘Will there be any man who can win over this woman?’

A different answer tried to appear from that question of his. Xyle tried to steer his attention away from that question and placed his attention on the compass. He asked, “What kind of compass is that?”

There were many kinds of compasses that the Walkers used. It was hard to tell just by looking at its shape. Only they could see what it was used for.

“This is a compass that points to things that weren’t created here. If it points to the sun like this right now, then it means there’s nothing extraordinary within its range.”

“So, we’re looking for an object from a foreign world.” This confirmed their theory, and Xyle had a complicated expression.

“Yes, according to Didi’s information, it’s not here at the moment. He said we have to wait until it appears. It appeared at different times each time. They couldn’t block it.”

“So, we’ll only find out after the plague spreads?” asked Xyle with a desperate look on his face.

Ella quickly attended to his concerns. What’s important now is to share information and prepare rather than worry about it. “But I learned a few signs instead. So, we should be able to block it before it spreads. I didn’t take this compass from him for nothing.”

“You took it from him…?”

Astonished, Xyle looked at Ella. She nodded proudly. This compass was the second-most favorite loot she got from Didi. It was going to prove useful for other problems after using it to find the Tear of Ceiling.

Ella looked fondly at the compass, slapped Didi’s hands that refused to let go of it, and took it away from him. Although she forced him to lend it to her, the compass felt so good in her hands that it felt like it was hers.

“He hated letting this one go, you know.”

“It’s amazing you even got it from him,” commented Xyle.

“I was dragged here for their good, so I insisted.”

She didn’t need to act as Ella, the novel girl, or the adult woman, Ranhee in front of Didi. She revealed her true colors and literally threw a tantrum. This was where she said he was a good person. He must have had many weapons to threaten her, but he instead reluctantly fulfilled her requests. Even though his hands trembled, he let go of the compass at her request in the end.

“Didi’s a good person.”

“Don’t ever mention that to other people. You’ll sound crazy.”

“Other people? Who? Who am I supposed to talk to about Didi? And you don’t consider me crazy no matter what I say.”

Xyle was lost for words at Ella trusting him. He quickly changed the subject, “So, we have to wait for now?”
