Ella then remembered what she thought at the bar and burst into giggles. She was reminded of Didi, who was nervous about what was on her mind and the serious expression she had faked. She couldn’t help but laugh at this.
‘It’s obvious they failed because of such conditions,’ thought Ella. ‘There’s no point in trying if they keep rewinding time. If I’m going to fail, it’s better to go back right now. Isn’t it better for the both of us if I die here?’
She kept thinking such thoughts, which frustrated Didi along with her serious expression. Ella’s act that held onto his weakness had robbed him alive. In the end, he begged her to stop even though she never intended on dying anyway.
“He deserves it, you know. He brought me here against my will, so he should take responsibility,” retorted Ella.
“That’s why he gave you the compass,” said Xyle.
“Yes. I also asked for a commission if I succeed.”
Ella burst into laughter again after thinking about Didi’s face when he heard her say that. He seriously said that he had never seen a woman like that and that he’ll never request a guest from “G-22” anymore.
Xyle shook his head at Ella and commented, “To think a guest asked for a commission.”
“I can’t look away when people are dying, so I have to do something. But I don’t want to do it for free.”
“So, you asked for a commission?”
“Yeah,” Ella replied.
“What were you promised?”
Ella made a proud smile, looked at Xyle, and answered, “A blank check.”
Then with a complicated sign, a paper appeared in Ella’s hand. There was a large blank area on the paper and a sentence that promised to fulfill a request regardless of the conditions. It was followed by the signature of Didi and Ella-, no Ranhee.

“It’s unbelievable you even got such a thing.”
“You won’t believe what I got. I even got documents with endless conditions that this blank paper can actually work.”
Immediately, Xyle became serious. Ella seemed a bit disappointed that some of his expressions hinted that he didn’t welcome the idea.
“I have to negotiate with him again when I fill this out. This only grants the power to renegotiate, so don’t make such a serious face. I can’t ask too much, even if I want to. You’re also from this world, after all. Hmph.”
“No, it’s the opposite. I’m worried about you. In terms of price, it’s always bad to get too much.”
Ella smiled at his genuine concern. Xyle looked at her curiously as she didn’t react as he had expected, but she looked away. Then she saw the female owner of the restaurant bringing out the main dish.
“That’s our main dish.”
Ella welcomed her. The owner made a sheepish smile at the pleasing welcome and placed the dish down. Ella was captivated by the simple dish, which differed from the lavish dishes she enjoyed after she arrived in this world. The pie made from potato and sweet potato seemed better than she expected because it made her mouth watery.
“This looks so good.”
The owner was pleased with her words, cut a slice of the pie with a knife, and placed it over Ella’s plate. A sweet and savory scent came from the slice, which made her hungry. Maybe she found the right place. She used the fork to cut a piece and took a bite. The taste was more than she expected, and it filled her mouth. It was a taste that brought a smile to her mouth.
“Didn’t I say it? That we will go to a place full of very very delicious stuff?”
Xyle laughed at Ella, who couldn’t take her eyes off the bread and soup a while ago and was now looking at him to brag. But he did not point that out, as he also thought the food here seemed decent.
“I’ll bite. Anyway, what else did you learn from him?”
