“Why are you with Lady Constance, Lord Marquis Etilton?” asked Dayson.
“And as for you, you walked up to the lady and greeted her, but I still haven’t heard any greetings from you myself.”
Vylun wouldn’t have accepted being addressed by his rank most of the time, but he flashed it out with a relaxed expression. In the noble world, rankings were the best weapons. Unlike Dayson, who was promised the title marquis in the future and was still a count, Vylun was already one. Because Dayson was lower in rank, he had to act accordingly.
Unlike Vylun, who seemed composed, Dayson was barely able to hide his anger and greeted him, “It’s been a while, Lord Etilton. Have you been well, sir?”
“Oh, yes. Only until I saw you, Count Willan. I don’t feel so well after seeing you. So, do you mind if you move out of the way now?”
“I’m here to see the lady, not you, sir.”
“And, I was ordered by the Duke to protect the lady and be by her side at all times during this party. If you are to speak with the lady, then you need to stand in front of me, but I truly wish not to see you any longer.”
Ella, who had been diving into her dilemma, returned to her senses as their battle grew fiercer. People began to catch onto something, a woman with a fiancé, a man with a fiancée, and a man, who never allowed any woman by his side his entire life. It was something that people would be excited to witness, but as for Ella, who was involved, she wanted to swing a broom at these two men so that they would get lost. Where do they think they are that made them fight like that?
“You two should relax. Count Willan, what brings?” asked Ella.
“Shall we dance?”
Ella almost swayed while trying to stop them from fighting in a calm state. She never imagined he would offer something like that in this situation. Her emerald-colored eyes shined as she watched Dayson.

Dayson smiled innocently, as if he had no other intention, as he watched Ella. It was as if he didn’t know how rude he was right now.
When attending a party without her sibling as her partner, the lady had to dance with her partner in most cases. When the lady decides to have the first dance with another man, then it is considered an insult.
These two were with each other. If Ella were to dance with Dayson, there was no other way to interpret that. He was asking her to insult Vylun. As expected, the muscles on Vylun’s arm began to expand while she was holding onto his arm. Ella could feel it over his clothing, which surprised her, and she turned to look at him.
‘Is this also a side effect of the buff?’
Ella frowned. She didn’t welcome such a situation at all as she hadn’t changed her mind at all. However, these two men’s feelings were growing, and they were now even fighting. She had no room to look at these rude men.
“I’m sorry, Count Willan. I already have a partner today,” Ella snapped.
“You don’t always have to be with your partner. How about you lend her to me for one dance, Lord Etilton?” asked Dayson.
“I’m sorry, but I won’t be able to do that,” answered Vylun.
He replied with a proud look on his face, thinking that Ella stood on his side. Enraged, Dayson glared at him. He didn’t accept her refusal as outright rejection.
Ella sighed at his reaction and responded, “Count Willan. I don’t think it’s appropriate to talk about things like this here. My parents are calling me. I’ll be on my way.”
