Chapter 3: The Wind Girl

I left the principal's office;  only by a different path than the one I entered.

 I came out into another hallway, with several open windows that looked out.

 Because of the open windows, it was quite windy.

 “Why is it winding so hard?”

 I was a little strange to be so strong like that.  So curious, I decided to check...

 I ended up completely forgetting which way the director told me to go and gave in to the urge to know what was causing all this wind.

 There were no typhoons forecast for this day.  I looked at the weather forecast before leaving the house.

 So what could be causing this?...

 I kept walking, following the row of huge windows and realized that there was a garden.

 “Ah!  Aah!”

 I heard a voice!  It was a female voice.

 He seemed to be practicing something... But already so early?

 I put the first one in the garden and, when I entered completely, I felt a very strong wind coming towards me that ended up throwing me back...

 “Ahhh!!!”

 It fell among some flowers that were around.

 "Damn!  What happened?"

 I was at a loss to understand what had just happened.

 "Hey!  Are you well?..."

 A girl with straight, neck-length brown hair, green eyes, fair skin, and a slim body spoke as she helped me to my feet.

 -I am fine.  Don't worry.

 -Oh!  Great!...

 She looked relieved that I was okay...

 By the way... Was she the one causing all that wind?!

 -Then...

 -Huh?...

 --Er... What are you doing?

 --Ah!  I'm practicing!...

 “Practicing?!  What would she be practicing to cause all that?!”

 I didn't even have to think about it very hard to realize it was magic.

 She was practicing magic.

 But I didn't see how she was doing it.

 --Are you a newbie here at the academy?...

 She asked looking at me like she was analyzing me somehow...

 ---Hm... Yes!  I came in here today.

 --Cool!  I'm also new here!

 For a second I thought she was upset with me or thought I was weird.  But it looks like she just wanted to play some kind of prank.

 --What were you practicing anyway?  When I arrived here I was greeted by a strong wind that blew me away!

 -Ah... I was training my wind magic.  What you ended up getting was my “Tornado Shot” that I accidentally dropped... I'm sorry!...

 ("Tornado shot?" It's a simple name for a previously powerful attack.)

 --By the way... What are you doing here?...

 She asked me curiously.

 ---Ah, I also got lost on the way.  I decided to follow the wind I was feeling in the hall and ended up here.

 --I'm glad you didn't get to one where I was using my "Slashing Wind Sword".  It would have been dangerous...

 “Slashing wind sword?!”

 Indeed, she was holding something that looked like a sword scabbard;  But, it looked a little small to be one.

 *ding dong*

 She rang the school bell and I have no idea where I'm supposed to go.

 ---Let's go to the corridor to see if we can find someone!

 --Yes.  It's a good idea!

 We pressed the steps to get to the corridor, and when we got there we saw a group of students huddled together...

 “Where did all these students come from?”

 “Oh!  She beautiful!"

 "It's the first time I've seen her up close!"

 "Damn!  She's so cool!”

 The students were commenting about someone.  Is it some celebrity?
